Consider the following, thats a VIP company blackhawk. Where should they practice picking up VIPs? The best kind of practice is as close to real world as it gets, which means going to actual airports and picking up VIPs at said airport. Gotta learn the layout, and you gotta learn the flight pattern. Very rarely, a fatal mistake is made like this. And its truly a tragedy for everyone on both aircraft.@@CapAnson12345
Are all Americans drowning in conspiracy theories? Every time something happens, they jump to the stupidest conspiracy BS possible. The average American IQ has slumped in the last 15 years.😂
No. It was an accident. The Blackhawk crew misidentified another aircraft and told ATC they had separation from that aircraft. If you’ve piloted an aircraft at night over a big city, you would understand.
The engines and humans in the water would be much warmer than the cold, dark Potomac. Thermal imaging cameras attached to remotely operated drones (ROVs) - would shorten the search time.
It looks like an intentional hit to me the helicopter came up from behind and ran right into the plane. Who's on that plane that's what I want to know!
@@laurarickermann6104 Unknown at this time. However, it did come from Wichita, could very well be Boeing people. I'm from Wichita. KS Senator Jerry Moran was on the phone with the news. He is shook up. Possibly knows some of the passengers.
Guys...a helicopter is still an aircraft. They are allowed in any airspace just like airplanes are, provided they have proper clearance... again, just like airplanes. The real questions are going to be what was ATC doing because this happened in towered airspace. ATC is supposed to provide traffic safe separation. That being said, the pilot is still responsible for traffic avoidance, even in towered airspace. This was either pilot error or atc error. Possibly a combination of both.
That’s a Blackhawk? A military asset being flown at 400ft directly in the path of a landing aircraft? Whoever is in charge is struggling to dig up names for the so called deceased service members. Military assets do not do anything they are not ordered to do. There is no military squadron ordering their aircraft directly into the path of civilian aircraft on a landing course. These types of accidents DO NOT HAPPEN, especially in VFR conditions. I served in Marine Corps Airfield Operations for 13 years. This doesn’t happen. There are far too many safeguards in place which prevent such incidents from occurring.
1. How the hell did that chopper hit the back of the plane? 2. Looks intentional. 3. Why hasn't anyone gone under to pull out victims or wreckage. It's been more than 2 hours and it's just a few police boats on the water and a like of firetrucks/ambulances This whole thing is insane and maddening.

Military goes to civilian airports for training all the time, it’s not suspicious, they do different landings and other procedures after leaving the base. At night especially some miscommunication could let this happen plus some incompetence
Blackhawk appears to intentionally hone into the aircraft; which by the way was extremely visible with all its lights. Blackhawk was also traveling at nearly max speed, which is strange if one were landing or taking off from an airfield.
I've heard people mention them several times in different clips. No one is intentionally NOT praying for anyone; IF they weren't mentioned somewhere it was unintentional! This is a big enough tragedy without worsening it with flimsy and upsetting implications - the good people have to united not tear apart at any opportunity!

@HarleyRider503 and if that helicopter was military, it was probably flying under MARSA, and ATC and the airliner possibly didn't even know it was there. On the helicopter side, the airliner was likely all but invisible against the background of the city lights. That's why the only aircraft that should be in a fixed wing approach pattern, is a fixed wing on approach. Helicopters have special approach procedures to large airports. Again... those procedures do not include fixed wing approach patterns. Someone seriously screwed up.
I ain't buyin' that this was an "accident",... What in the h-e-double hockey sticks was a U.S. Army helicopter doing in the flight path of commercial jets???!!!

Not sure if the reporting I heard was true but they said there were survivors. They didn’t say how many. I hope that it’s true.
Said there’s 4!
I think just starting ascent and being over water increased the odds a little, but really depends of how large the blast was.
@@Cat22275 who said? I've only seen comments but I cannot find anything solid yet.
Oh no! The odds of anyone surviving are very slim. 😢😢
What the hell is a Blackhawk doing there?
It was a training mission for the US Army Blackhawk
@HarleyRider503 A military training mission in the middle of a public airport with planes landing?
@@CapAnson12345something is fishy about this, something isn’t right with this situation but that’s my opinion.

Sad..sorry for all those souls..
Omg this is just super horrific
Is this a disgruntled military pilot? Any chance it's a terrorist act?
Anyone else think this is suspicious?
It was absolutely the Blackhawks fault. The flight lights were on, no reason for this to happen unless it was intentional

60 passengers... that is not a small plane.
they run this headline to downplay the incident. Citizens may go back to regular scheduled programming
Wonder if there’s government people? Planned?
It was an American Eagle plane. Usually, they are 707's.
60 passengers plus 4 crew and a military Blackhawk with 3 on board .
The plans crashed into the helicopter

Why would a blackhawk be in anywhere near the flight path of a landing commercial aircraft?
Some very grave errors were made at the Air traffic control center…..how sad

You would say the other person was at fault from a different perspective.....
The CRJ900 has a high speed cruise of 547 mph and the Blackhawk has a top speed of 183 mph.
@lilbutcher7721 the CEO of United said it was a CRJ 700.
CRJ 700 515 mph.
Blackhawk can be retrofitted with remote control much like the military aircraft that were used for special effects 24 and a half years ago
A tragic accident after all. Listening to other videos and commentary, it's now clear this was not a cover-up or something deliberate.
