I was hoping for magic like Mariah and Whitney. Unfortunately, Alex decided to go full diva. It was less about respect for the source material and more of excessive melisma / vocal shredding. "When you believe" is more of a prayer to God and his Glory and then soaring with the Spirit. Glad that they had fun doing the song.
