- Hey MaruFans! Today I'm bringing you a quick tutorial on how to crack open the newer Marvel Legends' suited bodies to swap out shirts if you're tired of looking at the same ole villains/heroes!
This is a great idea to giving more variety to the suited figures. It's crazy though that those two suited bodies have different sized neck pegs. I'll never understand Hasbro's logic for the variation in neck and hand peg sizes.
Sir. You've just made my Morbius custom possible.
I know this is 7 years late but thank you so much for the quick and concise tutorial!
Could've been more helpful if you actually showed how you cracked it open rather than only showing an already cracked open torso.
That all black suit is killer.
throwing it on the ground is also effective and better cause there is less damage.
I tried it myself
LMAO
Master Maru back at it!
I wish what you said to do was on camera. Showing someone how to do something is the best way to teach them, just FYI. Any chance of an update, done right? Please?
Billy is the man! Thanks for sharing bro :)
Of course.
Thanks for this video as it was very informative in how the suit buck is assembled. I was hoping to remove the shoulders from a 3 piece suit buck but now I realize they way the shoulder is assembled, boil and pop is not an option. Makes me wonder how the heck they assembled the figure with the 3 piece suit buck in the first place.
Great video!
Do you have any ideas on how to unglue the necktie from the shirt body? So I can replace it with a bow tie in the same scale?
Needed that!! Thanks!
Going to try this thanks!
Awesome advice
Very useful. Thanks.
Awsome video. Do you know if that method can be used for taking the torsos apart on all action figure line? Ive been wanting to swap out torsos on my jakks wwe figures, but I dont know how to do it. Thanks for any feedback
This maybe a dumb question as I am new to this but would the Agent Phil Coulsen body mold Purple Man figure torso fit with the Nick Fury Taller Suited Body arms and waiste/legs ?.
Thank you for your video.
nice!
How can i remove the hands? I want to do it in my 10 Years Tony Stark but i think is gonna broke, how can i do it
You need to heat up the wrist and remove it. Either let it soak in hot water or heat it up with a hair dryer to get it soft. Then remove the hand by prying it out from the peg hole inside the arm using a small flathead screwdriver or pick.
The hands?! The hands pull right out with ease, no tools required! If they feel a little stuck and hard to pull out, then yeah, a little heat will do and they should come right out with your fingers! Legends come with swappable hands, it's so simple to pull them out and swap them!
@@billmaru you don't need any tools to remove a hand from a Marvel Legend figure, what are you talking about?! Yes, you might need a little heat, but hands are the easiest thing to swap! They come with extra hands to do just that! They pull right out with your fingers, with ease! I've never had to use a tool to remove a hand from a Legend, that's just crazy, they come right out! You just gave this dude advice on how to ruin his figure basically, hahaha
@@FiendishFrank This particular suited body did not have removable hands. My methods are suggestions that people can follow if they'd like to approach toy repair and modding safely. Not every figure in the Marvel Legends' line has hands that will simply pull out.
nice.
like it!!!!
if i wanna remove the shoulder part do i really have to break the figure
No, if you heat the figure up using hot water or heat gun/blow dryer, you can pull them right out! The arms will pull right off, but then the shoulder will need a pair of needle nose pliers to grab onto it and pull it out, but it will come out! This doesn't work on all Marvel Legends, but will work on the suited bodies. You can even do this on all Legends with butterfly joints and you won't even need pliers, heat will be enough to pull the shoulders right out with your bare hands!
I didn't understand how did you do it ? Yoh just cut your videos when you cracking the marvel legends
The most important part of the video, the part that we needed to actually SEE is the only part of the video he cut out, hahaha. What was the point?! He's like "here's how you do it"....... Cut to it being done already, hahaha. Thanks for the help, bro!
@@FiendishFrank So the part in the video where I say "you go in through the shoulder"... I meant you just hammer the punch in. To do that you grip a hammer in one hand and safely grip the punch in the other. Next, you essentially "hammer" the punch into the plastic seem by using a vertical, swinging motion with the hammer and carefully striking the the back end of the punch driving it into the plastic seem to split the plastic.
@@billmaruyou may have wanted to have shown the process, I thought you just jammed the pick in, I didn’t know you hammered it.
Now I understand why several comments complained about you not videoing the procedure. I would’ve either damaged a figure or my hand with this tutorial if it weren’t for reading these comments.
where did you get that Jigsaw head?
Bo Rerun from the old toy biz 2 pack. came with punisher.
dude u want my own figure
Make it happen!!!
Billy Mahoney how
+NERD POWER ninja Practice. find an existing figure head that resembles you and build from there. it's a fun and challenging process.
