I bought one and it has been fantastic so far. It is higher maintenance being a manual but it’s worth it! The details make it one of the best speedys to have come out in a long time.
My fav of all the Omega DSOTMs. It's the details that make it special..Whats not 2 love about a watch that has "See you on the other side" on the back of it in times like these?
I bought this after my black dial, stainless/Sedna gold Seamaster 300. I looked at countless watches but just kept coming back to the dial and movement on this watch. Stunning...very happy with it.
Absolutely love this watch, my only complaint is that it didn't come in a smaller size similar to the standard sapphire sandwich or hesalite moon watchm. If it did I would definitely own one. Great review
Nice piece of content ! Apollo 8 was the first mission to leave earth orbit. Less than 8 months after they went on the moon. Insane risks. By the way I think the 3 guys are still alive :)
def one of the best "editions". but now that they killed off the classic pro, they also are killing my dream of finally being able to afford a classic pro and walk into an AD and purchase the full kit.
Thanks for this. I'm looking to sell my SBGH269 and maybe save for this. I had a look at the two tone Seamaster and the dark side of the moons. Tossing up between the Seamaster and this. This is just too cool to pass up though. I always appreciate you showing us the watches in natural light!
This is really nice, the dial is mesmerizing. I think that the yellow hand on the black dial works really well. But for this money I would go for the new Snoopy, Metas certified and super special.
Chances of getting New snoopy is practically impossible , Going for around 3x retail currently, this watch is stunning, I was lucky enough to get one to add to the collection, Moon watch Sapphire Sandwich, Blue Moon-phase, Racing (Black & orange).
Great video but in the future try to include a little more wrist shots. You had one up but it was from an angle. We wanna see what the watch looks like on your person.
Cool watch for the motorsports guy that's also an Omega fan. I'm both! Could be a great part of a two piece collection with a blue dial Seamaster or Aquaterra..... Hummmmm
I love a lot of different Speedmasters especially the special additions like this one. But I don’t quite understand why they use so many different movements in the Speedmaster line, and it seems like sometimes the special ones have worse movements
I have a FOIS, mainly because it's the smallest that was available at the time. I lack your burly wrist, so I don't think the dark side would work on me. Sadly, because I've always loved the dark side.
Why would anyone buy a boring, overpriced Rolex before this gorgeous timepiece? I tend to prefer the grey side more but I'd still take the dark side, too.
@@FABM27 I'd much rather have something I'll enjoy more while I have it as opposed to something I'll enjoy more if I decide to get rid of it. I buy things to enjoy now - not to plan to dump later.
I absolutely love this watch. I don't have any black cased watches because I'm not the easiest on them and when they get scratched, they look horrible. With this being ceramic and sapphire, it'll look new forever. However, before I would get this one, I will be getting the Grey side of the Moon. I personally like the GSOTM like better than the DSOTM.
never really liked chronos or the Speedy, just not my taste. but my first experience with watches was that my Dad was wearing a classic Speedy. so if You are a watch fan .. I guess You must respect Speedy, it is too much of an icon, not to .. and actually I think this is the coolest looking sofar .. !
The most georgeous Speedmaster ever made so far in my opinion. I´d love to even see one in person.
Have you seen the Grey Side of the Moon?
I saw one, probably one of the most impressive dial I've ever seen. The problem is that it's too big IMO.
@@FranciscoGarcia-ry9jg I've been blessed or cursed with a 7.5" wrist, so this works great for me...but there are many smaller sub-40's I can't wear.
really cool artistry on this. I could stare at those details on the movement all day.
Heck yeah man
I would rather this over any rolex.
Rolex would never dare do anything like it, they are way too conservative for that..
Me too👍
Ark yup, me too....if I could afford it I’d take this over a comparable sub.
I bought one and it has been fantastic so far. It is higher maintenance being a manual but it’s worth it! The details make it one of the best speedys to have come out in a long time.
This watch is beautiful. I didn’t appreciate it before but your macro shots really help show its beauty.
Thank you!
I think all those dark side/grey side/white side of the moon models are awesome.
I was never attracted to this watch until hearing the history. It now seems much more cool! Thanks Bruce!😍
Thanks Jeffery, it's really interesting history

one of my all time favourite
Another first-rate, in-depth review, helping me to understand the differences among the various versions of the Moonwatch.
Very awesome watch. I called my AD after watching this and they said there is only 3 in the U.S. currently in Omega boutiques.
You have to be insane not to like this absolutely excellent design and leap in terms of exciting new creation.
I’m not normally into edition /theme watches but this is radical . From the dial to the case to the movement. Very cool .
Great to see this 'alternative' Speedmaster!
"There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."
Great review, Mr. Williams. Now I am waiting for the FOIS review and see if I should go with it or the Sa-Sa one :)
Best,
Thomas.
That review should post within the next few days 😎
One of the most stunning versions of the most iconic watch. Love it 👍🏻🌒⌚
I love this watch - Thank you for such a fantastic review Bruce 😊👍
Wow, that is a beautiful watch
This is a damn cool watch, also great production quality keep it up 👌
This watch has been on my grail list for a while now
How I wish they would update this design with the new 3861 calibre
that´s a master piece...
That’s a stunner 👊🏻👌🏻
Nice piece of content ! Apollo 8 was the first mission to leave earth orbit. Less than 8 months after they went on the moon. Insane risks. By the way I think the 3 guys are still alive :)
So true, it's amazing what they accomplished in such a short amount of time. Something to be proud of for all of history
def one of the best "editions". but now that they killed off the classic pro, they also are killing my dream of finally being able to afford a classic pro and walk into an AD and purchase the full kit.
One of my favorite watches ever. First an second place the snoopy 2015 and the 2020. Third place is the apollo 8

The lumed crown is a nice feature.
What a beauty this watch is...
This is really nice, the dial is mesmerizing. I think that the yellow hand on the black dial works really well. But for this money I would go for the new Snoopy, Metas certified and super special.
New snoopy looks like a lot of fun

Such a cool watch. Nice video 👍
If I were in the market for a Speedy now, it would be the Silver Snoopy. This Dark Side is very cool though.
Lovely to see, thanks
Great video but in the future try to include a little more wrist shots. You had one up but it was from an angle. We wanna see what the watch looks like on your person.
Cool watch for the motorsports guy that's also an Omega fan. I'm both! Could be a great part of a two piece collection with a blue dial Seamaster or Aquaterra..... Hummmmm
you read my mind. I have the Apollo 8, a blue SMP300 (8900 calibre) and a Ryder Cup Edition Aqua Terra (gold seconds hand).
Beautiful watch!
Love everything about it except the yellow. I'd still get it though.
It’s really nice. It’s cool.
But the fact that it’s not having chronometer makes the price tag much harder to justify in modern standards.
I love a lot of different Speedmasters especially the special additions like this one. But I don’t quite understand why they use so many different movements in the Speedmaster line, and it seems like sometimes the special ones have worse movements
this watch is beautiful
Love this watch ❤️
@bruce how does this compare to your black ceramic Seamaster?
Whoa. Love it.
Lumed bezel? Lumed -crown-?! I love Omega.

I just think most first time buyers at this price would rather go for the conservative option
Value retention. This is a gimmicky watch and novelty may wear off.

@@chazzcombs that sounds great but the reality is only classic designs stand the test of time. The grey side is a much better choice imho
That is amazing!!
How could this not pique your interest?
Beautiful watch. Do you know if the crystal can be changed to the original hesalite?
I don't know sorry

does the movement of this watch certified chronometer ?

Sadly it’s always too big like most modern watches. Or else I would buy it in a heart beat
Grail !!!!
when you look at the back it said "see you on the other side" means see the side with the dials 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If it wasnt made from ceramic it would be perfect
Space may be the final frontier, but it's made in a Hollywood basement!
Someone is a Star Trek fan!
Troll
It's ok, this Bud dude is just a bit of an idiot. 🤣
red hot
Omega's buggered if it ever comes out that the moon landing was fake 🙄🌚
Well NASA was populated with NAZI scientists following WW2 so anything is possible when you consider the character of some of those villians.
