Maybe Sam appa has already gave another sausage to william but it was not showed.
And when they fight over toys, give other toys to the one who try to steal (usually Ben) and divert their attention. Don't keep persuade the kid who are still playing to give up his toys. He will feel less important to always give in to his younger brother.
The thing is he is not being unfair he is teaching William right from wrong because he is old enough to learn actions have consequences but Bentley is still to young to care and to know and to learn actions have consequences so he teaches William so that when Bentley is old enough he will not have to screaming children both talking and arguing as an oldest sister I can completely understand where he is coming from

Smol Yellow Popcorn Mochine No, older siblings don’t have to wield to everything a younger sibling wants. That idea literally makes younger siblings become entitled and always want what the older sibling wants. My parents did that with my brother who is younger and he grew up feeling entitled to everything, when he isn’t. That caused conflict in my house till we moved away from home and started living apart from each other. So, no older siblings should share sometimes BUT younger siblings should learn not to want everything that a older sibling has.

I think william have to give in his things for his younger brother first. Because he understand more than his younger brother. Atleast until his younger brother is older than now n can think like william. Until that sam can teach them how to share between sibling equally.

William will growing gently and caring :) i know the struggle to be the oldest, but feeling of giving is always much better than taking.
Well, along with being gentle, the kid will even become used to giving up when more confident people try to snatch things away from him. A voice will creep into head saying " This is what is my fate. I'm fated to give up things for others happiness. I am not allowed to put my happiness first". The kid will loose his self-esteem and also his sense of ownership. Once this happens, you are a target for bullies and manipulative people. This is what happened with me. I was always forced to give up all my things and was never taught to stand up for myself. Sam should teach William about ownership and self worth. But he keeps pushing him to a corner and makes him give up. That is very unhealthy.
If I was Williams age and my little bro took my food I know I would be crying. William controlled himself well, so sweet❤️

I honestly don't think Sam is being unfair or favoring one child over another. Although they're only a year apart and it doesn't seem like there's much difference, there actually is. William is able to grasp and understand the situation while Bentley isn't. I'm sure Sam will teach Ben manners and such when he's developmentally ready. William's love, care, and understanding are proof that Sam is doing a great job at teaching his children right from wrong.

Reading the comments make me sick. This is an edited reality show, for goodness sake! You don't know how it works in their real life. Yes, Bentley stole his brother's hot dog but you never know if Sam had 'scolded' him for doing so. Stop judging these kids just because of what being portrayed in the show. Plus, this is only one of FEW episodes where Bentley got away with his attitude while many episodes in the past William almost always get the full attention from his dad and didn't get scolded for doing something mischievious (again, could be due to editing). I think there is no such thing as William is being pressured to be a good brother and give in to Bentley every single time. A year from now, Bentley will know how to be more respectful of his brother. People need to stop putting William as the victim because he is the older brother and stop blaming Bentley just because he was born to be the younger one. I believe they are both growing well together in a home that provide them love and care equally.

Can’t agree more. It’s really funny to read those comments who think they are some kind of “‘master of parenting”. The reality is that this is the first time for Sam to be a father of two children and you can’t deny that he did really well. Sometimes fathers can’t even deal with two little kids without mommy’s help.

I have no hate for younger ones (I am the youngest in my family as well) but I do believe that everyone in the family should be equal. No hate for Sam's way of raising his kids since he's just teaching William to be empathetic and understanding to his younger sibling. However, he should still exercise fairness and justice in their little household. Just a piece of my mind and is purely based on my perceptions as someone who has different upbringing.

It's normal for siblings but it's not going to be a comfortable experience. Just distract and give the baby other toys, no need to keep persuading William to give up his toys. That sausage scene, I bet if it happened to most kids they will throw tantrum immediately. William is such a good kid. Ben is too, but now he's learning the trick of crying to get what he wants from dad, I feel bad for William.

Ben cries more often than before. Every time he want something he cry and will get it. William has to give up at such young age. Apparently he is not happy, but still in good manner.

In my opinion, its not unfair at all. People should understand that Bentley is still too young to understand things. So basically if you scold him, it will be useless since he won't understand it at all. And Since william can understand more now(because he is of right age), what is right or wrong should be taught to him. I believe in the latter, when bentley gets older (enough to understand things) the actions and manners of william (gained from the parenting of sam) will influence Bentley too. And I believe Sam will do the same, if Bentley gets older or if bentley is in stead of William.

If we think like that, then we think young babies are stupid. They are not. Theyre very smart. What this teaches Bentley is that he is powerful over William...and it teaches William to always be second place as far as Bentley is concerned.

What Sam did(he cuts the toy)is quiet traumatizing for the children specially for William since he is in the age where he is learning and adapting around the actions being shown towards him in, I’m quite wary that he will have inferiority complex towards his brother or some kind of frustration. I can say this because I’m also the oldest and it’s really frustrating when your parents treat your younger siblings differently than you most of the time they can get away with their wrong doing and you’re the one who’s gonna get reprimanded.
My poor William
I have 2 kids, they are 2 years apart. When they were younger, they often fought over a toy, or whatever. Even the youngest should be able to learn to share. The oldest doesnt have to always yield to the younger sibling. I used the time system, 2 minute playing with a toy then switch. Get those hourglass time to keep track 2 minute rule.

Me being the eldest of 4, I surely feel for william. I am always the one who gives and adjusts to my siblings. It's a bit unfair but that's just really how it works. And i grew up to be understanding and knows how to share so I am impressed that at his young age he's able to understand what giving and sharing is. I am sure he will grow up to be a very good and loving brother to bentley.

Since Sam is really doing a good job in teaching his kids we can see how well behaved are his kids now despite their young age. Will and Ben are the best brothers with very good personality. Note that how Ben keeps looking at his dad when fighting with William (while "crying"), he knows dad will take his side - seems like he already gotten used to it. Cutting toys in half to teach William is a good solution, but it is as if he's getting punished. Sam needs to be extra careful, remember William even said his dad love Ben more before, and that he is a baby too. Maybe Sam can try the triplet's dad approach, minimize the toys and encourage physical play instead.
I actually think it's the other way around. Ben is ignored most of the time. Sam doesn't really respond to him on an emotional level, he's been more focused on William recently. He just takes care of Ben's physical needs, then he turns away. No bonding, not much eye contact or conversation with Ben these past few weeks.

@@revinaque1342 Ben is gentle and less fussy, like Sian when he was a baby, I guess that's why Sam is less attentive to Ben, like Lee Dong Guk towards Sian. Parents tend to care for a more fussy and needy child (unbiased parents, parents with favorite child usually care for the one they like more regardless), so how Sam treated both his sons is fair enough for me, they both still get love from their dad and both are happy baby. It's just that when they fight, usually when Ben steal something from his brother, from his body language I can tell he got used to his father taken side to him. Older kids are always expected to understand and give in to their younger siblings. William usually doesn't mind to share except as a payback to his brother "stealing" from him, that's why I suggested both brothers to have more physical play between them. I'm sure Sam is just always trying to be fair, he is always complementing William when he shares, he is a good dad afterall.
