Yeah, and people who had issues with someone coming out Like “see, it’s hard when someone comes out to you, i’m not the only one who took it badly and went hysterical!”
I feel like this movie's script was written in the 90's and then locked in a drawer for years and years, someone found it, and thought "this will make a great movie!"
I think this movie was FOR straight people. Like someone's aunt could be like "I'm accepting. I watched that lesbian Katherine Heigl movie." I think it's supposed to support that whole homonormative concept that "gays are just like us."
You two pointed out everyyyytthhinnggg I was thinking while watching this, I feel so validated right now. Their romance was nonexistant, it was so frustrating to watch
This movie had the potential to be decent if only they had two leads with actual chemistry. It was like watching a movie about two friends who got mega drunk and made out, then are super awkward around each other for the rest of eternity (except now they have to get married to each other).
To be honest I had more fun watching Brittany sass and mildly rage against this movie than actually watching this movie. I wonder if there'sa not-gay drinking game to be made here: 1) drink every time they DON'T kiss. 2) drink every time someone makes Jenny's coming out about themselves 3) drink every time the sister and grass have more chemistry than Jenny and Kitty suggestions are welcome lol
Brittany react with that kiss was my reaction hahahahaha let´s be real, the entire movie is about turtlenecks and others feeling that actual Jenny´s marriage.
Honestly, the last scene with the conga really sums up the movie. Katherine Heigl's character decides that she should make her normie family comfortable by changing the music and let her family have fun while she remains on the sidelines during her own wedding reception.
Thanks Gaby, let me know if you ever want to give it a try! We are open to queer women as well and will adjust the title accordingly. (Jordan's episode is next week)
If my dad came to my wedding and said "I turned my back on you," I would stay silent and wait for the rest. Like, yes, true, go on. I sure as hell wouldnt start apologizing for being gay!
I actually really liked that movie. As someone who came out at 29 and has ministers for parents who definitely do not understand, this movie touched me. I was moved by the story of family and how they came together for Jenny
I have a list of comfort vids collected for days when I need a pick me up. This is at the top or it 😂 I wish you knew how often me and my wife quote this vid

That’s how low our standards are 😂 They don’t die, they stay together: top notch movie right there. Out of topic question, are there any “lesbian movies” where the main characters (like, the ones coupled up) are played by actresses that are actually gay? Cause i wanna watch a movie tonight and i was wondering if anything like that existed... i reckon it could be interesting to see if there is a substantial difference in the performance/mood or smth

Omg I love you guys seriously! I’m literally died with both of your reactions when it came to that song coming on “and I can’t change even if I tried”. Thank you for this channel thank you! ❤
This film seems fucking appalling 😂. I've never seen an on-screen couple with less chemistry! This *video* on the other hand is wonderful, and I shall now subscribe.
"Raven's Touch" is another movie with two of my favorite actresses, Traci Dinwidde & Dreya Weber, but no chemistry at all. I movie was horrible!! And, instead a turtle necks there's a bunch of nature shots...which turns out to be the best part of the movie. LOL!
Your commentary and laughter it really had my dying but it's late and everyone in the room was sleeping and repressing it was so hard. Hilarious and truthful
This movie was definitely written for straight people.
Yeah, and people who had issues with someone coming out
Like “see, it’s hard when someone comes out to you, i’m not the only one who took it badly and went hysterical!”
If it was, they failed at that, too.
My roommate watched this movie and she liked it. I’m queer and closeted but YIKES
i badly want to watch this with mum
no one:
jenny’s wedding: *AND I CANT CHANGE-*
right😭 got me dying
I could watch Brittany take a shit on movies for hours. I loved it. I love her humor and sarcasm, It gives me life.
Just Nat this needs to be a thing!
Totally, her commentary is the best
Her facial expression when the song comes on the first time 😂😂😂
ikr! I recently just found out about her and I fell in love!!
She's so cool, awesome and cute. As is Amanda.
BRITNEY LITERALLY FLINCHED WHEN "I CAN'T CHANGE" CAME ON. I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH.
"But you're wearing a turtle neck, you can't be gay" That comment killed me!!
Little known fact.
But my aesthetic is gay college professor ☹️
Watching this comment from 2yrs ago and I recently buy myself my first turtle neck 😂 what is wrong with me!?
@@Delvalle156 Omg, I'm also back here super late. Been a long time but this movie's still just as bad.

Ananas Von Satan I'm still laughing😂
It is funny every time xD Ijust rewatched that clip like 3 times haha
The way she recoiled 😂😂
Does something slightly gay *and I can't change*
LMAOOOOO
So true!!!
HAJHAHCJDKSKSKS
"written by a straight woman"
well that explains a lot
Alexis Bledel was straighter in this movie than she was in Gilmore Girls.
LOL. Truuuue!
lol
At least Rory had good chemistry with Paris in GG
Pau lmao true
I shipped Roris *ro + paris" and her Asian bestie too
I feel like this movie's script was written in the 90's and then locked in a drawer for years and years, someone found it, and thought "this will make a great movie!"
"Oh my god they have such bad chemistry" LMAO
Rea Boo they do!

I think this movie was FOR straight people. Like someone's aunt could be like "I'm accepting. I watched that lesbian Katherine Heigl movie." I think it's supposed to support that whole homonormative concept that "gays are just like us."
Sam Miller You're right they tried to make a gay film which is palatable for straight people
What sucks is that it portrays an unrealistic idea of what queer couples act like
Well, gays are often just like straight people? Not every lesbian is a stereotype. There are lesbians that look "straight".
The abrupt Mary Lambert shoehorned at 7:54 and 10:55 was AWFUL. They wrote a story about how straight people struggle with their gay family members.
Jenny and Kitty, completely believable as actual gal pals.
The best roommates.
@@FruityTelevision
“Oh my god there were roommates.”
*Oh my god, we just got married! Oh my god. Ew, that's so weird, ew!*
I'm crying.
I love your pfp
We got married and I turned straight
The best part of this movie was the sister and her grass
I kind of agree. - Amanda
Right, lol! This movie was the worse.
right!
Yep, that was the only part I found funny.
Agreed
I straight up spit out the salad i was eating because i laughed so hard at the first 'i cant change'

So so sad, I was so excited when they announced Rory and Izzy would be a couple.
Hollywood can’t even make a movie about lesbians a movie about lesbians

Does anyone else think the sister in the movie is more of a lesbian then the actual two actresses playing.. LEABIANS
Well she plays a lesbian in Mr robot
you guys made this movie 1000% more bearable which is a miracle thank you
LOL! Thank YOU!
so freakinggg true!!!!!!!!
Brittany and Amanda would be excellent at Cinema Sins.
Oh my god the reactions to the music segue had me in tears!

#3 is v accurate. Careful with this drinking game tho, you might get alcohol poisoning 20 min in.
.....you're right. Sips! tiny sips instead of drinking!
I’m more loving to my friends than the literal engaged couple.
LOL! I know, it's so bad!
Thank you for watching Jenny's Wedding so I didn't have to.
THE REACTION TO MARY LAMBERT. Fuckin same wtfffffff was that
Oh my god.. it happened multiple times..
Hahahaha, yep! The song alone is great, within this movie it's very cringe worthy.

Jenny’s Wedding is THE most wtf lesbian movie that’s ever been created
Truuuue!
The sister storyline was the only vaguely interesting part of the movie. I was really satisfied when she left her husband
I love Alexis Bledel but that movie was so bad and their chemistry is the worst

"Who did Mary Agnes write this movie for?" The straights!!!
TRUE
Why did the straights even need this
That was painfully obvious from the get-go. For blissfully detached upper middle class parents, probably, lol.

What are your thoughts on "Jenny's Wedding"?
Girl Ship TV I hated Heigl in that movie!! Not a role for her.
So I pretty much hate this movie. 😂
Yeah, it was... rough.
Girl Ship TV Rough, painful, made me consider going straight for a minute then I realized straight people made this.
Amanda’s laugh was more interesting than the movie. 😂
I loooove how Amanda laughs at jokes. Like the moment she finds it funny, her face becomes soo cute and happy, and it's so enthousiatic! love it
Omg the Irish accent! I laughed so much at this video thanks guys
I like to think that Kitty's backstory was SO epic that they couldn't do it justice on screen.

Their reactions to whenever that song came on was honestly one of the best reactions I've ever seen anyone give to anything else before
I randomly saw the trailer for this movie and thought wow, a lesbian movie. But this was by far the straightest romcom I have ever seen.
