But of course there will never be no goalkeeper (pardon my double negatives), so it wasn't the best of shots from Gnabry. I think a player of his potential could do even better.

Mannn I don't know how to feel about that 3-4-3 formation of Germany. They have so many quality attacking options and that formation seemed to limit down the number of attackers and not fulfilling the potential of the Germany's squad. It was essentially a 5-2-3 with those two wingers in the midfield acting like attacking fullbacks (tho it is hard to achieve that since Schulz and Ginter aren't exactly attacking-proficient). Many great players would be benched if Loew kept on using that formation (Goretzka, Brandt, Havertz, Reus,...)

Majority I would say of world cup victory was through penalty kicks which shows you why you really should not simply depend on who had the most cup cause I can tell you that generally speaking, at least in the last few years or so, Belgium has been playing better than Brazil.
