The fandom just seems to freak out over Bellamy being with Echo; which is silly. He had a girlfriend before, both he and Clarke have had other lovers before. So what? What's the difference? It's clear Bellamy loves Clarke a lot more than he does Echo.

showrunner Jason Rothenberg has said that the pair are platonic, there is some chance that their relationship will change in season six. In the books The 100 is loosely based on, the characters are currently engaged. So there is hope for u :^)

Jason saying that he doesn't want Bellamy and Clarke to be together because he doesn't want it to be like other shows or whatever doesn't make any sense, with Bellamy and Clarke being a slow burn and the bond they have makes them nothing like couples in other shows I've literally never seen a show with a couple like Bellamy and Clarke in most shows the first thing 2 people do is hook up and after that it's all about their relationship as opposed to Clarke and Bellamy who build up the relationship they have first before doing anything else like come on how are they even slightly similar to any other couple in whatever show?

From my understanding they are in the books, but I know the actress that plays Clarke has said she didn't want them together. I don't know if that opinion has changed but I really hope that her preference doesn't dictate the shows outcome.
