- Exploring An Abandoned Chuck E Cheese In Texas. In this video we take a walk through this place to admire what it once was. Sad that the virus was cause for it to close... especially since this was Kayla's childhood Chuck E Cheese.

This was my Chuck E Cheese! Located in White Settlement. When I was a child, it was a Showbiz Pizza. There was a Toys R Us next door. Would go here every birthday, and than Toys R Us afterwards to spend my birthday money. Been here hundreds of times. All my nieces and nephews had their birthday parties here as well. A shame it’s no more
I think this one closed before covid
@@gradymcclintock3766 It closed sometime after the COVID-19 pandemic started because there's a social distancing sticker on the floor.

That moment when you realize that was a place that was alway full of kids having fun playing games having parties and (no pun intended) just being a kid the place is now dead no more parties to be had no more games to be played no more high scores no more awesome pizza
its such a sad thing to think about. the CEC near me (not even 10mins away) thankfully hasn’t closed..yet, its sad to know other locations lost the battle to covid and had to shut down.

This kinda hurts my heart seeing a Chuck E Cheeses place get vandalized like this...
It’s abandoned so it’s not against the law I mean I spray paint and I have vandalized abandoned grocery stores and pizza places

Maybe they mean that it’s from their childhood and they have a strong attachment to this place of family and fun, and pizza. I don’t think they were referring to any laws being broken.
@@kyestar88 How? 😂
I just quit my job of 25 years with them. I was a part of the team that closed these locations. Most of the time we were only given 24 hours to clear everything that was reusable at another nearby location and abandon everything else. I was a tech. I spent 25 years keeping these stores running. The show, kitchen, gameroom, and cash areas working. To see it all torn down and discarded broke my heart. I lost a part of my soul doing these shutdowns and I'm glad I took the chance to move on. Your vid gives me a bit of closure about it though. Thanks.
Did you ever get to take anything home that was unique?

It’s always those fake kind of videos, like when they leave they see Freddy faz bear, or Chuck E. Cheese.

I think one of the saddest parts about this is that some of these locations are OLD. Very old, and were converted/renovated and kept growing as things evolved. Most of the animatronics are EXTREMELY old, and a lot of the locations (I would assume) are as well. I’m really sad at the level of disrespect that vandals have for places like this, old places with good memories.
Thanks y’all for really appreciating it. I’m happy that you were able to enjoy it and capture as much of it as you could before it was taken down. :)
Man! This was my childhood! I’m 28 now! I believe we were the last generation that actually experienced awesome arcades!
It sad that many kids won’t experience what we had as kids!

There's an abandoned Chuck E. Cheese in Houston, TX that was similar looking to this one and was repurposed into a short-lived mattress store. After the mattress store closed, it was split into a Texas State Optical and dentist office.
Yeah, its sad that location closed, since it was historical. It started as a showbiz but got rebranded into a Chuck E. Cheese and had a 3 stage.

Nerd here. So from what I can see most of the vandalism is mostly where the counter was and parts of the kitchen. All the arcade games and anything else in the store was smashed up and destroyed when it closed back in June. The spray paint most likely is from Corp after it closed to "de-brand" items in the restaurant. I've heard stories from other store closings of flooding the kitchen or damaging the property.
From the looks of it, they are probably going to tear this building down. I don’t think it was vandalized at all. Just the franchise owner or corporate got everything that was useful or valuable out and did it fast. It’s listed for sale but I noticed in the video the electrical panels are completely gutted, the games in this place are old, damaged. I seen the ticket munchers in the back look like they been cannibalize since they only use E-tickets now, no point in moving them to another location, they just leave the junk/ trash in that building and have the demolition contractors toss it when the building comes down.
@@ForkLiftCertified They literally never cause that much damage to a wall during closing. Along with all the bottles found near it clearly show that was vandalism
@@ChuckEEntertainment also one spot spray painted. No reason at all for doing that except stupidity.
@@ForkLiftCertified panels being gutted possibly may have been copper thieves, hopefully not though.
@@KC8EWU Nope stop ignoring what I said. When a store closes CEC rippes out game parts and other items for usage at other stores. They left the shells because they were to lazy to actually remove them.
I did competitive programming at Lockheed from 2017-19 when I was in HS and our teams stayed at the Comfort Inn right across the street. Never went in, but from the entrance we were able to look out all the way down the parking lot to see this place open, and with barely any cars there. I remember there was some place called the "Flight Deck" entertainment center right next to the hotel, along with Toys R Us. Six years later, all three of those are closed and have been replaced by much more boring and industrial businesses. It's probably for the best that they're not abandoned anymore, though. It's better than them being vandalized like we see in this video.
I have no memories with CEC because my childhood was spent at Gatti's and Incredible Pizza Co, but it is disappointing to see not just how these places look when closed but what the ones that are still open have become - bland and lifeless, and lacking much of what originally made them special because of the constant race to the bottom when it comes to costs. They are pretty much kids' casinos instead of lifestyle spaces and places to compete on actual games. Round1 is the only chain left that I think still captures some of that. It's the only place where I think I could spend 12+ hours straight on $100 in credit.
People ought to be ashamed of themselves. They really should.
If it’s that bad now, just imagine how it would be in a couple years or so, given that it’s still abandoned...
Had plenty of parties at this location for all my grandkids. It's a shame to see people go in and vandalize a building.
Wow Interesting video Wallie!! I never knew it closed due to the pandemic, but I also knew it had bankruptcy. I enjoyed going to Chuck E Cheese when I was a kid. I even remember going to the ticket counter and it counted all of the tickets I received. My favorite arcade game was likely ski ball. The nearest one to Hermitage,PA was Niles, Ohio near the Eastwood Mall near the former Super Kmart.
You should do Ryan’s in white settlement
I remember being at the place for the first time... good memories and now....23 years old still remember everything...
surpised the power is turned off that quick, since they just closed couple mouths
Oh, they turn the power off same day. No sense wasting resources, after all.
Before it was a Chuck e Cheese-- i believe it was Showbiz pizza...that grey building to the right once held wrestling matches. There also used to be a small movie theater between that chuck e cheese and toys r us..it was demolished years ago.
The theater and toys R Us was across the street from Chuck-E-Cheese
This was my childhood. I had 5 of my birthday parties here. My birthdays tomorrow and it makes me sad that a part of my childhood has gone away.
I had my youth birthday party at Chuck e cheese when I was little
I went to a birthday party their . Loved the animatronics on stage.
I applaud you and Kayla for doing what you do. Sad people want to destroy....keep it sacred in memory. Much love
I got the opportunity to walk around a closed chuckle in 2008 . We found in the back three costumes of chuckie from the 2000’s , 1990’s and a random costume . My friend has the 90’s version at home to this day 😂
For anyone wondering, this is the White Settlement, TX (7750 Scott St) location. They opened on December 29, 1982, as a ShowBiz Pizza Place. They closed in 1985 and reopened as a Pizza Time Theatre on August 6, 1987, in the same building with a Rocker Stage. In March of 1992, they were the first location to ever receive the 2-Stage. They closed on June 25, 2020, due to Covid-19.
Thanks!
You have any photos or videos when it was Showbiz Pizza Place with the RAE?
Vandals disappoint me, imagine how cool it would be to have an abandoned Chuck E. Cheese's as a hang out spot, no destroying, no making a mess, hell maybe even tidy it up a bit.
I lived 20 minutes from that place it's so weird hearing this big named brand going for bankruptcy especially since this one was relatively "new". There's also an abandoned toys R us right across from it.

I’m from Lawton Oklahoma I’m 45. I loved Chuck e Cheese as a kid. Had a couple of birthdays there growing up in 80’s. Miss the days of animatronics singing Caberet songs. Ours closed around 1986 cause of drug dealing. Then back in around 2012 or 2013 they opened one back up here. Great place for kids.

Wow, thank you for filming this. Didn’t know it was torn to hell. My wife and I were there just three years ago for a former friend at a birthday party. I live nearby.
It's so sad seeing what was once a place of wonder and magic that brought these fictional characters to life and brought entertainment joy and fun to people of all ages, A place where a kid truly could be a kid be turned into a dead husk of it's former self never to see the light of day again.
While you are at it, the Chuck E. Cheese’s location in Dundalk, Maryland at the Diamond Point Plaza is now permanently closed as well (it’s the same plaza in which you filmed the moldiest abandoned Ames department store you’ve ever seen).

I appreciate the thought of locking the front door, but all that's gonna happen is more property damage when someone decides to bust a window to get in
I remember seeing this when it was open while I was on my first trip to Texas along with the former Toys R Us location back in August 2018. Two years later in May 2020 before CEC filing, it got closed down due to a kids' party looting on a final day of it.

Too bad so sad to see so many places of one's childhood left to rot or be damaged by vandalism!
