Mehram means a person who completely knows you.
The male singer Asfer Hussain, who is a lead vocalist of Bayaan Band and won Battle of the bands season 3 , is expressing his grief because he has lost his MEHRAM who may be his parents or best friend or companion.That's why he has covered every memory of his MEHRAM.
The female singer Arooj Aftab , who is a ver soulful singer and is nominated for two categories at Grammy's awards this year and one of her song "mohabbat " is also included in the playlist of former president of US Burak Obama , is expressing her grief .She is telling the story of Pheasant bird who is in love with moon and want to reach near it but it cannot.
Very beautiful ballad in a very soothing voices.The lights , their voices , lyrics and everything in it is very poetic.

The haunting separation and the pain of breakup is perfectly depicted in the visuals, the set has the haunted vibe and the tune adds the emotion, and is taken to the next level by the gorgeous vocals and you start to feeling every word. By the way AROOJ is the only Pakistani Grammy Award Nominee and most of the Pakistanis even are introduced to her through Coke studio.
Every season has different music producer, this year it’s Zulfiqar “Xulfi”. He also worked on Nescafe basement.
My favorite is Rohail Hyatt. He was the producer of most of the early seasons and season 12 & 13. My second best are Ali Hamza and Zohaib kazi for season 11
And even though they are last in the list they are awesome as well, The Band Strings has produced many great sons.
So you can say coke studio has had 4 music producers over the year and each with a different styles

yep looks like Coke Studio has created a brilliant healthy fun platform for musicians to just enjoy and embrace music. You create a studio and provide platform for all composers, musicians, writers, and singers and you have a huge fat success. Every other publish is a hit.
Arooj Aftab has been nominufor two Grammy Awards this year including Best New Artist and for her song Mohabbat. Barack Obama recently released his playlist of selected few songs and her song was on it. She also has been invited to perfoem at Coachella this year where many top artists have still not been invited to perform.

The female vocalist Arooj Aftab lives in Brooklyn, NY and went to Berklee on Steve Vai scholarship program. She has been at it since she came over to the US from Pakistan almost 14 or more years ago. She has pretty much created a new genre called Neo Sufi (which is inspired by Islamic mystic poetry like Rumi etc.). For examples try watching

She is just another “also ran”. Not quite sure why she is in the lime light. The trade she is following ie sufi music requires years to polish and hone. Her voice lacks the depth and needs years of rayaas. One can find dime a dozen under cooked singers in her mold all across the sub-continent. Please spare our ears and just sing to yourself.
