  • I have been asked hundreds of times which projects are the best for building a resume, so in this video I decided to finally answer the question by explaining the five best projects for building a resume and landing a job. I even used three of the five projects on this list to land my first job and I was told countless times that the reason I received job offers and interviews at many companies was because of the projects on my resume. The best part is any of these projects can be built in a single week so you can start applying and landing jobs sooner.
    🧠 Concepts Covered:
What companies are looking for in resumes
Which projects are the best for getting hired
What skills you need to get hired
How to build projects that will get you hired

It could be a restaurant, a warehouse, or whatever, and build them something interactive. Doing this with give you a massive advantage over a lot of devs.

I have been doing an ecommerce from scratch and it's been 2 months, will be finishing it within 3-4 days.
It took so long because, I learned so much on everything that I never knew, from project design process to final automated testing and standardized documentation. And I am barely telling you only main things.

And remember that if you have a job, that any code you write during working hours is often owned by the company you work for, so you cannot use it for job interviews. Use tricks like this or make sure you have some open source projects

My first big project was a text-adventure website. I startet off with the basic html/css layout, then got into form validation for the commands, added some animations with TimeLine, added sounds. Then, after the programm got bigger, I went into local storage for progress saving and item inventory and currently (getting back to it every now and then), I am implementing some user identification and OOP for enemies. Long sotry short, I recommend something easy to begin with which is scaleable.

suggestion for the e-commerce tip: it is way too easy and cheaper to create a store on shopify. a huge project recreating an eCommerce store from scratch might be a waste of time. yes, it will still prove your abilities, but practically speaking, your just re-inventing the wheel here.
real-world example: you would have to charge probably 15 to 20 k for all that work if you do it all by hand, but if you just use shopify, its only about 5k worth of work. no one would pay you more for the same outcome just because you did it from scratch. love your content btw. ty!
