To me, it was more a look of, "Ok, so if he loved her and just cast her aside, he'll do the same to any one of us!" It was a look of a certain amount of fear. At least that's the way I saw it.
When you think about fasbender and see this it really drives home how strong and effective he got with his ability over time. He looked like he was directing the orchestra.
Honestly these X-Men films had some of the best muscle suit I've ever seen next to that one commercial with Danica Patrick. We need to bring these back

This movie trilogy got Mystique completely wrong. One of the things the movie writers forgot is Charles, Eric and Raven are not some characters out to just use each other. Inside their mess are some genuine bonds. Eric wouldn't just tell Raven you are no longer one of us and leave her there. Also it's a pretty stupid reason considering she pretty much knows your entire plans.
One thing though is the relationship you're referring to hadn't even been established here yet. It was only until the Prequels when they kinda retconned Mystique into suddenly becoming Miss Poster-child Mutant
TBF none of the movies adapted any X-Men character even half right. The only actual adaptation we got was Wolverine who is, more or less, just a more boring version of comics Wolverine.

I always wondered what happened to Mystique after this, considering the cure obviously wasn’t permanent. I wonder if she was captured eventually or she just died in days of future past. I know in the film they say that they use her DNA for the sentinels but they said they did that in the past.
I think this is genuinely one of the worst casting decisions ever made. A former footballer in a toy-like costume? Terrible. Deadpool 2 did it so much better.

If I was Magneto, I wouldn't abandon Mystique like that, considering she has valuable information and could just rat me out (which is exactly what happened in the movie). I would take her and keep somewhere safe, where she can't be spotted by the government and I would try to find antidote to the anti-mutant weapon. Considering, that this anti-mutant weapon doesn't destroy the x-gene, but rather temporarily shuts it, Mystique would eventually have her power come back to normal. Also I would wear full metal armor so I wouldn't get shot with a plastic needle.
Say what you want about Last Stand. But the good stuff is really good, and Magneto is a more complex villain here than he is in the first two movies. His fears about the Cure were completely validated and yet he didn't recognize he was being no better than the humans who tortured him.
So I just rewatched this scene for the millionth time, and I'm wondering if Erik "abandoned" her here because without her power she could be vulnerable and he ultimately didn't want her getting hurt? Saying "you're not one of us anymore" doesn't mean not part of his family. He just means the mutant brotherhood. Idk. Just a thought.

This is out of character for Magneto to abandon her after she had shielded him. I could see him working on not only restoring her mutant power given she had proven her loyalty to him but also in order to counter the government ability to just 'cure' mutants with a bullet or arrow.
X Men 3 is kinda underrated. Is it a good as the Logan or DOFP? No, but it’s definitely decent enough for what it is. It’s acted and performed well by the cast and the action scenes are fun entertaining.
Eric's uncharacteristic abandonment of Raven really soils the movie though. People that went into this movie when it came out with prior X-men knowledge were probably really bummed.

I've seen this so many times, and just caught the detail that the weapon that shot mystiq was a plastic one as magnyto pulled it towards him
Only thing I could give as an explanation is maybe the metal in the laser sight.
At this point it was still metal. Later on they develop plastic weapons.
