There’s strong canonical evidence they were even lovers. The look of shock on Pyro’s face was well performed by the actor. It was the look of “Damn!”
@@xshxr true but canonically he was closer to Mystique than any other mutant but once she wasn’t a mutant he abandoned her
You know what you've just described darling? Bolshevism. So Elon is right and Soros is Magneto after all.
To me, it was more a look of, "Ok, so if he loved her and just cast her aside, he'll do the same to any one of us!" It was a look of a certain amount of fear. At least that's the way I saw it.

So keen to see him back in deadpool 3
I honestly see magneto not abandoning mystique. I could see him holding her up as an example and a martyr, showing that he does not turn his back on mutants who were “cured” but I don’t see him Abandoning her

When you think about fasbender and see this it really drives home how strong and effective he got with his ability over time. He looked like he was directing the orchestra.
The fasbender movies came out after this one. This makes no sense. There was no continuity planned like that.
@@CirrowProductions Even so, without a plan they still had Ian's Magneto looking more skilled as the older one.

Yeah, he'd never just "give up" on a fellow mutant like that. Especially one that was part of his inner circle for years.
They made him abandon her just for the sake of the plot.

Got to love how the government can turn anything into a weapon on anyone.
Magneto did say that "nobody ever talks about it. They just do it. Make no mistakes. They will draw first blood." He was right
Well, technically Magneto killed like a dozen cops before the used the “cure” weaponry to fight back. So you can’t really blame them for taking precautions.

I love how Magneto manipulate the metals. Imagine if could also create metals.

Yeah, but the gun was plastic. This scene doesn't match the ending scene.
1 mistake. juggernaut is not mutant. his powers are magical
Yeah that’s a problem a lot of these movies make. There is some twisting that happens. As long as the movie and story are good and the true essence of the character remains it’s ok. I just think of it as another universe.
Yeah it is, he said it himself, the exact same thing you said by himself on xmen 1992
Thankyou. Also, Azazel isn't either.
@@christimatlock3381 in some Adaptation he is à mutant

Fun fact you didn’t ask for: The word Juggernaut comes from the Indian word Jagannath which means ‘lord of the world’.
A fact we didn't asked for but a fact we needed
thats bullshit
No its not
Cytorrak strikes me as an Indian deity somehow
I always wondered what happened to Mystique after this, considering the cure obviously wasn’t permanent. I wonder if she was captured eventually or she just died in days of future past. I know in the film they say that they use her DNA for the sentinels but they said they did that in the past.

Not really. Juggernaut is that, a huge beast. They did him dirty and smaller 😂
I think this is genuinely one of the worst casting decisions ever made.
A former footballer in a toy-like costume? Terrible. Deadpool 2 did it so much better.
Me watching this after having finished Grey’s anatomy: @1:26 SLOAN!!
AVI ARAD worked on the first movies as executive producer.
But for the 3rd movie, he decided to step in as the main producer.
That's why we got a movie done by a director with no passion, and a limited story overstuffed with characters, just so he could sell more toys.
#IBlameAviArad
Hands down the best mystique ever.
But Jennifer Lawrence was the very first Mystique to ever do it 😂
@into_play3266 She wasn't the first
Out of.....two? Wow.
3:01 I've always enjoyed this moment because it accurately displays why Erik is the villain of this story. If he was simply a civil rights activist lobbying for equal treatment of Mutants, albeit with some rather aggressive tactics, he'd be too agreeable. But no, Magneto is an elitist. An egomanic with a chip on his shoulder, and a god complex the size of Africa. He's someone who can turn his back on a comrade simply because they lost what made them valuable in his eyes, inspite of them saving him just moments before.
Still struggling to comprehend how Vinnie Jones went from being a premier league footballer to movie star
Movie star is a little bit of an exaggeration. He got to be in movies because of his sports fame (which is definitely kinda cool in its own right). See also, Shaquille O’Neal.
I bet the first two cars were a mess for the emergency services to clean up
2:03 Honestly I think it would be better if Juggy said: You gonna let me outa ere? I need to piss."
Say what you want about Last Stand. But the good stuff is really good, and Magneto is a more complex villain here than he is in the first two movies. His fears about the Cure were completely validated and yet he didn't recognize he was being no better than the humans who tortured him.
They needed some plastic vehicles!!!
i will defend the bad x-men movies (this, origins, apocalypse) until i die
Why would they (the government) leave Juggernauts helmet on once he was secured? That seems pretty stupid.
3:07 that’s kinda sad to leave her, isn’t it?
Very much
I would be unstoppable with magnetos powers 😂😂they so OP

People complaining about Magneto abandoning "human" Raven: it shows how much he HATED the homo sapiens in the 2000s trilogy. He already tried to wipe out humanity in X2 using a handicaped Charles.
A gangster moment on Magneto’s part
One of the best scenes in the Marvel movies. Ian is amazing...all the acting and special effects are amazing. The makeup on Kelsey = amazing too...I think this is the best they've done out of all the beasts versions.
1:15 😂😂
How did magneto grab the gun if it wasn’t made out of metal?
Probably was metal, or at least some metal in it
They later used complete plastic ones
This version WAS still metal. The next itteration at the lab was plastic, hence "they've learned"
It has a laser light. That means it has wires and a battery.
At this point it was still metal. Later on its translucent
Touch last stand mystique was hot!
I read that Gambit was originally set to appear in this scene, where he initially joins Magneto, but later teams up with the X-Men
They should have kept the ambiguous voice for jlaws mystique
"He is a mad dog"Adagio😂😂😂
I think Magneto left Mystique out of kindness. Regardless of how amazing her powers were, being a oddity of nature in the war that he is fighting, it's kinder to be cruel and let her join the other side. A life of peace, from bigoted people.
Why would Mystique need keys for the hand locks. Why wouldnt she just shift her body smaller, say that of a small child and pull her hands through? Can she not alter her mass?
Magneto just straight murdered everyone in those cars
They joined up with Magneto without even asking who he is or what he wants. Lol.
Oh, you think the events of the first film pass unknown? Magneto is pretty much famous at this moment
Unless they watched him from the news in prison? 🤷
Magneto is world famous at this point. Everyone knows the name and what he can do.
3:01 Pyro was staring straight at her crotch the whole time lmao

This depiction of juggernaut was completely way off. Dead pool juggernaut nailed it based of the comics.
I don't see Mystique telling the truth about their plans.
Magneto: Oh no, she's HOT! *runs*
Peak Magneto right here
I love marvel
I actually don't hate this version of juggernaut
Magneto abandoning Mystique here seems really out of place tbh
Making juggernaut a mutant was so stupid he's not a god damn mutant in the comics
Why couldn't juggernaut break himself out thought he had like almost unlimited strength
Once he builds momentum he cannot be stopped. He does not have unlimited strength because Hulk beat him pretty easily when it comes to contest of raw strength.
He needs momentum to deal any damage. Pyro read it from the clipboard too.
How did they manage to restrain Juggernaut?
Why did he stop walking?

TRUE
Ian Mckellen was way better Megneto than Micheal Fassbender. Btw in the comics Storm is 5’11” and Wolverine is 5’3”. So I would have cast Tyra Banks as Storm and Mark Wahlberg as Wolverine.
Juggernauts power come from a mystical source. Cure boys powers wouldn't have worked on him
Not in this franchise it doesn’t , he’s just a normal mutant.

The weirdest part of all to me, oddly enough in a scene with multi-men and blue women, is that the guard took a last stand against them. I mean, really your chances of survival aren't good either way against a bunch of mutant terrorists, but personally, when faced with an entire crowd of superhuman thugs, I think staying down and playing dead would be the better option. I'm all for fighting the good fight and not letting evil get away with it, but there's a time and a place, and I don't think a suicide attack guaranteed to bring their powers down on you is it. I'd take the Orkish philosophy of living to fight another day on better terms.
I guess to be fair, he probably had the best shot out of anyone in the whole series at taking out Magneto instantly. Can't blame him too much for trying to score a surefire victory against a demigod regardless of the consequences. If you knew those famous X-men guys couldn't even get that close to beating him, it might be worth the risk in terms of the greater good if you had that kind of opportunity.
