My Honest Review of Ordering Chicken Republic's 1k Refuel Meal on Chow Deck
So, a friend of mine told me I could order Chicken Republic's Refuel meal for just 1k using Chow Deck. I had exactly 1k in my account, so I jumped at the opportunity. But here's where things took a turn...
I ended up spending over 2800 Naira instead of just 1k! Why? Because to order the Refuel meal, I had to add extras like drinks, coleslaw, or dodo cubes. Drinks are 800 Naira, dodo cubes are 750, and coleslaw is 750. Plus, there’s a compulsory 300 Naira packaging fee, a 368.75 Naira service charge, and 400 Naira for delivery.
In the end, I had to take a loan to cover it all! 😂
Honestly, the 1k promo isn’t worth it. I’d rather just walk into Chicken Republic and buy my meal directly without all these added costs. The marketing strategy needs some work because it’s not very customer-friendly, at least not for someone like me.
