    This was spot on! I can relate to overshooting, being a perfectionist, and sometimes spending more time culling than editing! Thank you for the tips!!

    I’m in the process of subscribing to photo mechanic but you know what Lightroom classic does the same thing when you load photos into it during import. You can fly through photos if you uncheck as in import then open large view or single view then scroll through it’s really fast to pick good or bad ones. Tell me your thoughts? Thank you. 🙏🏽

    Thank you for sharing this process, I will definitely be checking our Photo Mechanic. I see this to be a very useful tool. Do you sneak peak on Social Media before sharing with your clients or do you also share with your client at the same time? I'm just curious is that in your contracts to clients that you will share the photos to your SM accounts prior to delivering their final photos?

    Do save your pictures on a external hard drive or Dropbox? If you do what size would you recommend?

    Love this! Can't wait to see how you edit them in the Senior Scoop (which I LOVE by the way :) quick question...do you edit out tan lines? I noticed her watch tan line and am wondering if you get rid of that or leave it? Thanks!

    When you drag them into lightroom are they RAWs or JPEG? I think you said they are JPEG in photo mechanic so wondering how I would get to edit the RAWs in LR :)

    • @HopeTaylor
      @HopeTaylor 9 місяців тому +1

      They are RAW in LR! Photo mechanic works by showing you a jpeg preview of the image so it can render quickly - but it uploads the full RAW files into LR!

    How do you go so fast and still check for sharpness? I could never speed through them that quick I wouldn’t even be able to see them ha ha

    • @HopeTaylor
      @HopeTaylor Рік тому +5

      My thought process is that if it's not blurry enough for me to notice in a quick pass through...then the client definitely won't be able to tell. If it ends up that one was too out of focus later, I'll go back and select a new one...but that almost never happens! If it's sharp enough at first glance, then it's almost always sharp enough :)

    Do you get permission to shoot on the steps of the houses downtown? I am in Sumter, SC and may want to do some shoots there for engagements and seniors.

    • @HopeTaylor
      @HopeTaylor Рік тому +1

      I don't! Typically, the Rainbow Row houses are super photographer-friendly :)

    you can do the same thing in lightroom, and then just delete the ones you didn't select if you need space.

      Totally! Except photo mechanic is MUCH faster. You don’t have to wait for each image to load!
