We have lived in Madrid for 9 years and my favourite thing by far is the people! Spanish people are so open and friendly and it's really easy to make friends. You made great points in this video, I agree with almost everything you said.
Hi Louisa, thanks for the comment. Some things can be a bit frustrating but life is not too bad here.
You are wrong. Spain is in england
Please i will be coming to Spain next month any help in terms of work? I will be happy to hear from u .
..and the Catalan people have you ever met them?
@@lolitarouge all the ones I have met are some of the sweetest, loveliest people ever. I love the Catalans!
The weather depends on where you live in Spain. I live with my wife and two children for 17 years at the Costa Blanca and I can tell you that it is never as cold or as hot as some places inland. Nothern Spain is also totally something else. Health system is indeed good despite a bit of waiting time sometimes. I had a heart catheterization last year so I know what I am talking about. Really fantastic roads all over the country. Love to drive here. And corruption is all over the world...We have a good gestor, so bureaucratic things we leave to up them. We came here for the four C's: costo, comida, clima, cultura. And safety. More pros than cons for us!
Solo vengo aquí a ver qué piensan de España 😂

Wow this is certainly the most precise overview of this country I've ever heard! I fully agree with you.
I went to Madrid last week and I was so impressed by the things I experienced that I have been watching you tube to learn more about spain. I appreciate the information you share.
Living in spain, pros: live great, eat great, dress great, transport great. Cons: none.
I’m from Argentina and I don’t live in Spain but being there one week was just great.
Hi. Just one week? You need to live there for a while, to experience some cons. Every country has pros and cons, of course.
First of, I'd love to congratulate you for this sincere and unbiased video. Being an Spaniard, I really appreciate that a foreigner gets to understand the values of this country as you did and you've done a great job.
However, I'd like to point out that corruption is not far different from what you'd find in other European countries. But you are right saying that the corruption is at a political level. I guess Spain is so famous about its corruption because the media here just works and bring it to light.
As for burocracy I can confirm you that France has way more than Spain (I have two sisters living there) and never in my life used a "gestor" to renew the driving licence. This process works very well indeed: you get a notification by SMS or mail and in half an hour the licence is renewed.
Again, awesome videos. 😀
Jose, I love Spain and my wife is a Spaniard. We have our own place in Spain although we work in England. Spanish corruption is far worse than anything you will find in the U.K. Don't kid yourself, it's very bad in Spain.
+Welsh Toro Your country is as corrupt than Spain or ebven more. It's simply a different kind of corruption. I would call it white glove corruption. The average citizen of the united kingdom is not aware of it simply because it is a hidden corruption, it is not easy to see. But it is there and totally infects British society. We have a near example here... Simply look at Gibraltar and analize what they are making money with...
"Roberto Saviano:
The associations that work in transparency have shown irrefutable data. The United Kingdom is, without a doubt, the most corrupt country in the world, not in political or police terms but when we talk about money laundering.
No Englishman feels he lives in one of the most corrupt countries in the world because you can not bribe a policeman or corrupt a politician, but they do not know that your financial system is totally corrupt. And what do I say when I say corruption? I mean that there is no control over the flow of capital, I do not necessarily speak of London but of Gibraltar, Malta or Jersey, which work through the doors through which the United Kingdom moves money that has no control.
Panama is known to be the money laundering capital. Panama avenged itself after the filtering of the Panama Papers. A full-fledged revenge when publishing names related"
es.euronews.com/2017/04/04/roberto-saviano-el-reino-unido-es-el-pais-mas-corrupto-del-mundo-cuando
You are from one of the most corrupt place I've ever lived in. In most countries if you get robbed you go to the police, in spain you stand a good chance that it was the police and the Guardia Civil ( you should have taken them all out and neck shot them when Franco died)
Jose as a Spaniard you are used to the ways of renewing your driving licence and other documents you need but us foreigners don't know or understand the system so we do employ the gestor to do this for us, for example to get my residencia I could only get an appointment on line that was only in Spanish, no alternative language for the foreigners that are the ones needing this service, and it did not give me an indication of what I would need to show i.e. bank statements and proof of earnings or income. If you have one document missing then you have to make another appointment, yes on line, and go back again. Appointments are usually about 3 to 4 weeks later, depending where you go. So a gestor is important for foreigners.
Lol, in UK they don’t give jobs to British people first! Usually, it’s last, especially low income work. I’m Swedish and British, and live in Bilbao- no chance foreigner can get low income job here, but in UK [high chance, even if you barely speak British]
I'm moving to Spain soon, I am originally from Venezuela so corruption, unemploymen, scams, crime and bureaucracy will be a wonderful improvement by comparison.
Only by comparison.
Raygomez2006 I know, I’m from Panama an the corruption in Spain pales in comparison to Panama.
So, with all the corruption and such, once in Spain, you'll feel like a fish in the water, huh?
Russia: “hold my beer!”
Raygome2008 I am sure Spain's corruption is minor compared with that of Venezuela or any southamerican country.
1st pro: in Spain they drive by the right side.
How’s that a pro?

I lived in Spain for a year in the 90s as student to learn Spanish. Central Madrid. I love the food and wine. Pata negra and Rioja especially. The people are very friendly and fun to be with.
The negatives were bureaucracy and in Madrid pollution and dirt.
jiros00 i find it soooo difficult to find good wine in Spain
Mishell Cornell it isn't difficult, in the most of the sites there are Riojas, for example
Rubén Floppy i love spain .but .french and Italian wines .r better 😃😄
Looks like you don't know much about wine...
Mishell Cornell its a question of tastes
Un gestor is just someone who knows exactly how to deal with the bureaucracy but normally he doesn’t give any money to make the thinks using shortcuts.
I was really shocked when he mentioned that.........
I am Spaniard and I second every detail you said about my country. Very honest review

Magaluf. Never seen so many drunken heads per square meter
It's good to hear someone from another country talking about the situation and knowing what he's saying, there are a lot of people that don't know shit and end up talking about clichés. It's very clear that you've spend many years and are perfectly integrated, good job with the video!
Hi Ruben, I first visited Spain in 1982. I was married in Bilbao to a Spaniard from Valladolid. We have a tiny house in the Axarquia, Malaga. My wife and I live in England but visit Spain often and have travelled throughout the country. I completely agree with you about the cliches and the crap that people associate with Spain. Spain is a great country if you can afford it. There are many people that can not. Many outsiders thing that all you do is chill out and eat tapas and enjoy good weather, etc, etc. If you ever see my comments you will know that I am highly critical of many things Spanish. We can love a place and be critical can't we?
I agree in everything. Corruption is turning into a real problem. Not because of the money they steal, but for the bad example for citizens and the lost of hope in politics and the system... I think we have a good system, but corruption is making it look awful
Hi, corruption is a problem all over the world. If you look at the place where it is not so bad, the keys seem to be transparency and tougher penalties for those that break the law. You would also need to punish political parties that have proven to be prone to corruption. But that is not easy in a two-party system.
And it's not easy when the parties who vote the laws against corruption are corrupt. Hopefully political crises as the one we're living now will help to clean up the system.
Ya gotta lock 'em up.
Congrats on the accuracy of your pros&cons. You got them absolutely right.
As a native spaniard, I couldn't agree more
seriously?
nux eyy they are generally infanilized. both by their parents and society at large. mix that with the Catholism...and welcome to the land of the 40year-old vigin. well not really that bad, there are hookers but you get the idea.
gracedu2 I suppose that's how they behave in your country, certainly not in mine. Both women and men go out on dates, clubbing, dancing, fiesta all night long. Spain is quite liberal in regards to sex, like many West European countries. With regard to your comment about spaniards living with their parents; housing is very expensive, many stay with their parents until they finish studying because they cannot afford to move out but of course they're not infantilised because of that. And no, they do not live with their parents after they're married.
Estela Villar Every Latín American country kids live with their parents until they get married. It’s just not Spain. It has nothing to do with “infantile” it’s just cultural. We don’t kick our kids to the curb at 18
Dona Mills pretty much the same here in Jamaica. If they move out, it is because they claim they want more freedom, and less parental control of their lives.
Spain is not only Madrid and Barcelona. Nature is a huge part of the everyday life. You might not have a big garden in a suburban area, but you have parks everywhere literally in every city there are so many parks. They are especially good for children&families and you´ll also see always groups of elders play cards or just relax in the parks.
Interesting to see the pros and cons about my home country from someone else's point of view. I can say I agree with all your comments and you seem to know the country well. Enjoy your life there, hopefully I will go back one day.
Stuart, thanks for the videos! Really enjoy your clear-headed thinking on the things you cover in these videos. I'm planning to move to Spain (from FInland) in a couple of years and I find your videos great source of quite balanced information. Could be even one of the best sources I've found on UA-cam. That was very accurate!! I wish we could get rid of bad politicians... :_(
Ciudadanos seem like the sanest option ?
@@willylochmann9234 dunno buddy. I don't know what to think
Willy Lochmann Good question.
You know, when we get into politics, there is obviously gonna be lots of different opinions, but we can point some things out: After the spanish dictatorship ended in 1975, democracy appeared. Now that they were celebrating elections, even though there were more than two parties, the two main parties were one leftist (PSOE) and another conservative (PP), which stood until nowadays. This two parties were switching in power, and soon corruption cases appeared (tipycal spanish :P). Since then, in this last years more and more parties have been kicking in, with Podemos (Far left), Ciudadanos (Centrist-Right) and, lately Vox (Extreme right).
Here it is where we could see Ciudadnos as the best option, but you need to know that this party has lately said and done some really far-right stuff, even more than that, appeared as nationalist to the top.
So yeah, spanish politics is really messed up, and elections will be held this April 28, so if you are interested, keep your track on it!

Hi mate
I’m actually moving to Barcelona in a week and a half by way of New York. Glad I found your UA-cam channel.
I fully agree with your opinions. I am the opposite, a Spanish person living in England and I also have these kind of thoughts. Thanks!
I'm spanish and the only reason to have seen this video is to improve my listening.... and I'm completely agree with all the coments. It's been a perfect video. Now you have a new subscriptor...
I don't agree, in spain you don't have a backyard only in Big cities, but if you go out of the 2 big cities there is space everywhere, i live 25 minutes from Madrid and in la sierra It is plenty of chalets and country side, 20 minutes from Madrid
I love Spain and especially Canary Islands for a mildest climate in the world ... I hope we will get back soon to the normality after this hard lockdown on us
I’m looking at moving from Perth Australia to Catalonia and I’m glad for your videos to paint an even picture for me.
Hi, good luck with the move.
In Spain we are happy to receive new people from Europe and nice places like Australia who can bring real enrichment to this country.. Very wellcome dude!
Go fuck yourself fascist
A "gestor" is needed when you have to deal with paying taxes for your own business during all the year, which is a tuff work if you r entepreneur. For the rest of things such as driving licence and lots of other tramits the spanish Public administration has developed in the Last ten years a very efficient Electronic administration in which citizens and companies can fulfill and resolve many tramits so far.Even the Justice administration which was the worst in terms of time resolution, has push forward towards the Public administration of the sxxi.
The worst negative side in Spain is that 20% of everything we buy is taxes.
taxes go to public services (and employees).
Check other countries in Europe and see how much they pay in taxes....
@@iarechaga In spein the average salary is about 1500 euros while in germany is 3000
As a spanish I am agree with most of your pro and cons. For me the biggest con is the taxes on everything and the lack of facilities for entrepreneurs. But as an emigrant, I miss so much Alicante!
Originally from Barcelona but living in Los Angeles here. Right on point on bureaucracy and corruption. I’d point out too the fact that people do not get rewarded for hard work so their only way for advancement is cheating and stabbing in the back generally speaking. Lack of opportunity and lack of self confidence as Spaniards would be another con. Spain is the best country in the world with the worst politicians Lol
@Oxi Ros I native Californian and Angeleno, being that you have lived and your from Spain. What would you say to me about moving to Spain. Ive been thinking about it for some time.
You sound like frustrated self-hating Spaniard.
Oxi Ros
In spain you have to pay tax even if you make a loss in the first year of running a business.
Spain is not perfect I agree, but in general the lifestyle is very good compared with most countries, and the most corrupt? Yes, there is corruption in Spain but look around.. Trump.. UK with their stupid Brexit politicians... Putin.. Easter Europe.. Southamerica.. Still think Spain is the most corrupted?
Asun Montero Yes, it is quite up there. It ranks at 41, behind such post communist European countries as Latvia, Czechia or Poland. So enjoy a happy mess.
It's good to see your opinions about Spain. We have some problems, that's why we have to work to improve them and be even a better place to live! Corruption, as you say, is at a political level, and it's something we definitely need to get rid of.
Rent is ridiculously high here in Mallorca; so are utilities. Salaries are low. But day to day living expenses are lower than in the UK and the island is beautiful. Like you said, there's no drunk fighting problem here like in UK. Autonomo fees are ridiculous. And the bureaucracy! One needs a lot of patience to live here haha.
Because of ur video I want to come to Spain is lovely
I underline every single word told in this video, this mate tells just objective truths!
Thanks for the ride, I am off to Italy now.
It would be good to start the exposition from explaining “as compared to what”. If you are an Eskimo the sun might be a great pull. For a Somali, great economy might be a factor. For most Europeans history is not a big deal as they have their own and may find Spanish culture to be strange, to put it mildly. I would also submit that unless one is reasonably versatile in Spanish, one would always be a stranger in a strange land.
Compared to England, a lack of traffic, lovely.
You talked me into it. I'm moving to Spain.
I love the food, the culture & the people! Went there 2x 2014/015
A Spanish person i met couldn't find a job in 2015 so was moving to the Philippines
A pleasure to have you here buddy.
Looking at this video a great plus here is the traffic free roads.
Not true if you live close to a big city like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia
I'm Spanish and I agree with you. Expecially with the corruption and the burocratic system.
Respect to the construction of a building in Spain, for the permissions to construct you have to suborn them if you don't want to wait several years in the case that at the end they give you de permission.
In the health service the government has drop the budget of the health service and In many hospital you have to wait a long time to get attended. So many people is going to private health.
Many thanks, l do really appreciate you replying. And yes this was very helpful. Take care.
Bang on! (From a Spaniard living in New Zealand). Really good video.
Where do you live Joaquin in New Zealand?
I'm Spanish and can't agree more with you.
Im not very agree when you said "is very complicate to find a job if you dont know spanish, as in in england" sorry about this budy, but in england and in a lot of english speakers countries ( i can speak about canada and australia) the problem is not only the language. Is your origins. Your culture and the color of your skin. Something than in spain is much more uncommon. Of course if you only speak english you can get a job in a country with another language. Is not the economy, is everywhere like that.
Oye chiqui, si vas a dejar comentarios y usar palabras como 'buddy', mejor que sepas manejar el idioma o bien decirlo en tu propio idioma.
OMG what are my ears hearing: A Brit acknowledging we here in Spain have great food!! xD (edit: No, it was an Aussie, too good to be true haha)
Good video by the way, I agree with pretty much everything you said. And I love the driving and road footage. You didn't mention roads/infrastructure as a big pro (edit: last thing you said :)
Regarding corruption: It's true that it's huge, but as you said there's no corruption at the "lowest" level, you can't bribe a policeman or a clerk etc. Also most big corruption scandals involve local and regional governments, not the State itself. I'd say the "State" and the bottom-working public officials are clean. It's the regional big-fishes who are corrupt most of the time.
You could think of a gestor or gestoría as a 'runner' service. They don't really have any special privileges when they go do things on your behalf. They just charge you for doing it, that's all. There's really nothing else to it. They are also used to all the trámites and all the vericuetos of the system, which helps tremendously.
Completetly agree with you im spanish i really liked your video.
Everybody is welcome!!.
Come ti spain guys!!!!!
Excellent video, full of truth.
Everything all right except the fact that you don't have to go to a "gestor" to get your driver's license renewed nor to change the ownership pf your car! That is ridiculous man...if you're paying that cash after 18 years of living here you're still a "guiri"!
Not ridiculous at all, try to engage a worker for example, without a gestor you go crazy, logically the more serious is the fact, more need the gestor
I live in Madrid and I’ve used “gestorias” all my life. You go after work (no need to lose work time) and can get your ID photos, psycho-technical tests and everything at the same place in 15 minutes.
Madrid in August made NYC in August seem reasonable. Irrespective, wonderful city and people.
Awesome your pronunciation of the Spanish sound of "j" and sometimes "g", like in "gestor". Not all the foreigners pronounce it that good. Not even Latin Americans, who say it in a milder way. You say it like Spaniards do, scratchy, and I guess it is an influence from Arabic.
Odd comment here....but just yesterday, for the first time ever, Wife and I were talking about the possibility of retiring in Spain. We are 44 and 38 years old, and will fully retire in a year from the US military.
And this video just shows up today in my feed...#5 video scrolling down.
Weird
Dangic23 @ I wish you all the best with your future plans! Saludos desde España ❤️.
Don't take your Vet. hat or other military stuff there nobody will be impressed, in fact just the opposite.
What you say about the "gestor" is not wholly accurate.
Nowadays, renewing your driving license is very easy. You have to pass a simple test, then they take a photo of you with a webcam and do the paperwork for you.
A few days later they send you your new license by mail.
As for buying and selling cars, you don't need one either. The paperwork is done at "Tráfico", the Spanish versión of the DMV in USA or the DVLA in UK.
The 270 is for your right to have a 1 person company. The health part is marginal and you also get healthcare when unemployed
I'm Spanish and you are just spot on in everything you said. Totally agree. I think you know my country even better than me... Are you sure you are not Spanish? 🤣
Great video. You obviously have a great handle on Spanish living. As a self employed worker how do you address paying taxes? Is this monthly fee you mentioned tax deductible and how do business expense write offs look like? What would be the case if your clients were offshore and paid in another currency? Any thoughts on this?
Of course generally the climate is better in Spain than in the UK, but the weather in Cantabria and the Basque Country in particular is on a par with the south of England. In some areas it's even worse.
Como español que soy, no puede tener más razón. (As a Spanish guy that I am , he couldn't be more right!)

It,s illarious how the translation won’t find a word for “gestor”, well I’m 45 years old and never paid for one. A gestor (or gestoria) is just a way to hire someone to take care of your paperwork. It’s sometimes useful but you can do everything on your own. Its convenient but not necessary.

Hi, don't know about the washing machines but the American fridges are available.
A big debate is necessary between one of the pros (good and functioning health system) and some of the cons (salaries, jobs, crisis) you mentioned. There must be a correlation between them: if salaries are not that good and the crisis was hard is not due to us Spaniards being coursed by God...but because we are one of the few countries in Europe where almost everything is paid by the state (and bringing losses: highways, health system...)
We seriously thought of relocating to Spain (from Australia). Viewed a few properties. In the end we could not come to terms with bullfighting and we hated seeing the tiny songbirds trapped in tiny tiny cages...heartbreaking.
That is strange as bullfighting is increasingly frowned upon in Spain, less and less people like it and there are lots of associations fighting against it.. and also there is hardly anybody now who has caged birds... unless... maybe you were in the south of Spain and it is still like that there but in the rest of Spain that way of living was many years ago not now.
@@asunsol Yes I realise Catalonia is very much against bullfighting unfortunately it appears the rest (apart from the northern region) is very much into bloodsports. We were in Altea when we saw and heard so many songbirds trapped in tiny cages (they were everywhere). Very sad.

Hi, thanks for your channel. We are in preparation for our move to Marbella. I have been looking at living on a homestead/finca. Most of the places with 1 or more acres have olive trees. My question is whether it is smart to purchase that with the responsibility of taking care of the olives etc. Can it be harvested with local workforce, or sold for harvest to the farmers in area?
Totaly wrong about jobs in uk for uk citizens.
Tons of jobs especially in London ( the Mecca of the UK ) require the knowledge of another language given how internationally focused the city is.
razerbaz... you're not wrong there, buddy. Considering some vacancies for low-skill jobs such as agricultural work are being advertised in Eastern European countries such as Poland without even being advertised in the UK at all.
@@cuhurun Those are jobs you're talking about, the British wouldn't do. There's a lot of "professional" benefit claimers in UK, that would visit jobs centres only to get benefits, not to look for work. All British. You don't see many foreigners at job centres unless they want to register and apply for NHI after they arrive. They look for jobs in agencies.
@@miplev ; not so.... I am originally from the Fens area and know the crops were successfully harvested every year. The reason this 'British won't do it' propaganda came about is simply because other EU nationals will work for less, and without the concessions expected by Brits. The corporate and private farmers love Eastern European labourers, that's for sure.
@@cuhurun maybe not generally, but it is not propaganda, but my own experience. I've been living in UK for 14 years and especially young people wouldn't do farm, some factory or any hard, dull jobs. Older generation has bit better work ethics. If you go for a better job, it's always British first, but that's logical and happens everywhere. No problem with that...

As a Spaniard who has traveled and been living abroad, I think Spain is a perfect place for human life unless for work matters. I could resume it by saying that Spain is not a meritocratic society, and that fact has many implications in social, political and economic terms.
Really nice points but two things:
About the gestores, it is not that they pay someone to make things faster, is the fact that many times they know better than the ones working for the administration about how to do things. The level of burocracy is so high that even for them is hard to know how to do things. Also, everyday the Estate publices a BOE, a list of changes and additions to laws and procedures and this people checks it every single day to know what changes. You can do nearly everything that a gestor so by yourself but they know what to look at and how to do it so it is faster and less complicated.
About the legal system, it has two big problems: First, until a few years it was free and it is "garantista", I cant find a translation.
The system was free which means that people sue other people for the smallest things. Got friends working on the law enforce and they reciebed people on the police stations who sued other people for just insults amd they have to accept the sue.(it is up to the judge to accept the sue or not, but it is a whole process by itself). The result of this is tons of sues raking time that could be used on more important things or real problems that require the judges. This has changed because now you have to pay for sues, but it is also unfair for those who had less money. (This also affects the health system on a similar way: Because it is "free" you can find people on the hospital with just a cold)
To add even more, the law system is "garantista". If a judge decides something and you doesnt like that you can appeal that, and again , and again, etc so a mimor process becames a process extended to years that, at the same time, consumes more time of the system.
Thanks man. Geat talk.
Great job
spainspeaks, the gestor has access at the back door of these offices, which is quite legal not a corrupt, and stops them having to queue because time is money for them.
Well, right off the bat, the first pro is they drive on the right side of the road. Huge plus
Great videos ..Do you have a video about getting Residency permit? I have been living on NIE Should I get permit ?
I wonder when this video was made. Economy is stable now. Good figures. Lots of unemployment but improving. And still the forth economy in Europe. Anyway I agree in most of the remarks about my country. I knew you were australian. A British would have bashed us intensively. They hate us.
Cómo puedo obtener un trabajo en Espana como ciudadano europeo? Are European white collar professionals valued in Spain?
Fran Camino you can not say that an economy is stable when you have double digits unemployment. Anyway, his point is that for foreigners to get jobs is hard because they will be given to Spaniards first and rightly so.
Fran, there's a HUGE gap between "improving" and "good figures". One year after your comment, Spanish economy is still growing but in fact it's just recovering from the huge impact of the crisis that started in 2008. Nothing has been done to change the productive system, and the laws are still penalising renewable energy at a domestic level, which could be an amazing way to improve a country so dependant on tourism and primary industry.
Hi, I enjoyed watching your video. I am a Hungarian who lives in the UK and teaches Spanish. 😁I would rather teach English in Spain if that was possible, but it's not easy. I got an Erasmus scholarship in the 90s and I studied in Córdoba. That was a wonderful time in my life. I can describe the Spaniards on the same way as you. They were friendly, marvellous people, and in those times they were very optimistic. The corruption is awful, and I know that well, Hungary is suffering now under a populist maffia government. I would like to live in Spain, as so many people who live in northern countries, but of course the lack of jobs and opportunities are massive. There is a question which bothers me. Unfortunately, the Hungarian gypsy ethnicity criminals present in Andalusia and take the young gypsy girls from Foster home there and force them slave prostitution. I would like to know whether the people there put every Hungarians in the same category with them. That bothers me lot. I would appreciate replies in English and in Spanish from anyone from this page. Recently I have watched El mar de plástico on Netflix. That showed a very different Spain which I got to know in the 90s. 🇪🇸😳Adiós
Lol, I’m British and Swedish! I never heard British hate you- we dislike the French and Germans. [i live in Bilbao, and Spanish is like most Eu countries, they won’t give jobs, especially low income jobs to foreigners, easily. UK and Ireland are an exception to this- unfortunately]
As for British hating you- if that’s the case, why so many of your young people have employment in UK.
Which is better to choose Canadá or spain should i leave Canada and come spain to leave?
gestor= hair store hahahahaaa according to the subtitles
I was just thinking the subtitles were pretty bad in this video!Egbert Copplind
Infraestructures in Madrid are pretty different from Barcelona but, in general, I'm agree with you.
Are you sure about that? Give some examples please.
@@dirtyharry4795 madrid have much better and newer trains, metro, airport and roads than barcelona. barcelona in trapped btw the sea and the mountains, which make more difficult it expansion.
@@joseantonio9051 sure about that? Have you seen the last underground lines of Bcn? L9, for example, is one of the most expensive and modern line in the world. It 'only' costed us 16.000 million €. Well over 100% over budgeted. Bcn Airport is modern, very close and very well connected to the city. An airport that manages every year over 45 million passengers cannot be considered a 2nd category airport. About the roads, I don't see many shortages on that point, really. The really low point in our infrastructure is the railway net. Not too old, but really badly managed, mostly on peak hours.
Why is a Brit living outside the UK never an immigrant but always an expat? Integration is too difiicult?
He or she is British ex-pat to to a fellow brit, and an Immigrant to the host population. Simply,e really!
I mean what do I need to move to Spain from Nigeria
Your video pretty much sums up living in Italy as well, except that the infrastructure here is pretty bad.
Interesting points. I'm from Brasil; and most of the problems you point out about Spain holds true for my country as well. To me all these problems come down to one fundamental issue, mas issue nobody wants to talk about either because people are not aware of its roots, or they're just too busy making a living, and enjoying any panis et circus the State throws them. These issues are rooted in whatever came out of French Revolution / Latim Catholicism heritage... hence, in many ways, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Brasil are all the same when it comes to corruption, for instance. I lived in Belgium for 7 years, Flemish part, mas Belgium is a perfect case study of what I'm talking about: a country divided into two completely different worlds... and the French speaking part of it is quite nesse when compared to the germanic part. Now, few will bother reading this comment... fewer still will understand it. But....
Brazil is a dump compared to the rest of those. Not just now, always been that way
sean todos bienvenidos a España!!!
I liked the video. However, I like the momentum to be a little faster
