    Bro is out here doing the lords work! I was hesitant on getting this stand because of the reviews, but I think I might take a chance. Can't beat 250. Thanks man

    Thanks for the info. I configured it like you said and its been rock solid. Got it on sale at Micro Center for $199.99. Other stands go for $400+ Wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for your video.

    Dude you are a life saver. started building this and it didn't look like my 32" monitors were even going to line up at all with how they want you to build!
    Couple notes:
    - I put the base "feet" pieces "flat" (wider than they are tall), rather than standing up like you have them, that seemed more stable to me but idk.
    - The width you mentioned for the piece holding the main monitor (11" IIRC) was off for me. With 11" on either end, I wasn't getting the 24" in the middle i needed. I needed like 9" on each end measured to the column pieces.
    anyway, great work! This is a huge improvement and definitely makes it save a little space as well!

      Thanks for the feedback!
      I made the feet vertical so I'd have more clearance on the inside and outside for my cockpit to sit between and to get it closer to the walls in the corner of that room.
      I had to use a spacer to mount the VESA mounts onto my monitors so that brought them further away from the bar which probably gave me more clearance to run it narrower!
      Enjoy!

    Pulled the trigger on buying this mount..end up using 8 mounting brackets to the monitor bar and uprights..I can’t do 12 coz of the 60 degree angle I have..good thing I saw this video..money saver..great work bro. Thanks!!

      Did your set come with just the flat vesa mount or the one liek in this video? If its just the flat ones, did the monitors line up fine? If not how do you adjust it or can you even?

    I did the same with this stand after purchasing it, I noticed right away that a few things needed to be changed. I run triple 27" monitors at 60 degrees and the lateral arms for me are inside the uprights. I probably could have put them on the outside, but it would be a tighter fit for my rig.

    You would have had to break the L bracket tabs shown at 4:25 as well, correct? The tabs don’t fit on the upright leg side since they are perpendicular to the channels.

    Thanks for the video. I've been wanting a Triple Monitor Stand and stumbled onto this one while browsing for some monitors on Micro Center's site for only $199. I'm picking it up today with three 32" LG monitors. Are you running 32" monitors on your rig? You got a nice setup sir.

      I ended up installing the cross beam in front of the vertical columns and using my Dremel to smooth down the 2 lip edges on one side of the back of the small corner brackets. I'm also using the Vario VESA kit that was delivered today. The kit is a lifesaver! I didn't realize there was an adjustment for the arms that allow you to change the angle. I didn't realize it until I was trying to move the monitors together 😂

    Great video! I just set mine up yesterday and questioned the assembly method the entire time.
    A question... What angle did you end up with between the back rail and the outer arms?
    Thanks for sharing!

    • @TheYonks
      @TheYonks  11 місяців тому

      125 degrees when measuring between the rails so you get a 55 degree angle between lines of sight on each monitor

    So I just got this stand and am trying to set it up just like you to prevent sagging. I havent even put the monitors on and I noticed and confirmed with the level the side arms are already sagging. I've set it up just like yours. Any suggestions on why they might be sagging already?

    • @TheYonks
      @TheYonks  Місяць тому

      Shouldnt be any way for the middle bar that runs horizontally to twist and cause sag, it would have to come from the plates that mount the side arms to the middle bar. Make sure the hardware is tight and bolts arent too long to where they cant be completely tightened against plate due to bottoming out on the inside channels

    Hello @yonkersracing I bought the single monitor version of this product. Do you think it'll be able to hold a samsung g95c 49" monitor? Which weighs approximately 25lbs?

  • @kyronwoodson
    @kyronwoodson Рік тому

    Hey I have the exact same monitors that you’re using. What size screws are you using for the mounts, to mount the monitor to the actual rig. Mine do not seem to work if you can help me out

    • @TheYonks
      @TheYonks  Рік тому

      I 3D printed spacers for the VESA 100 mounts that were 8mm thick and got bolts 10mm longer than what came on back of monitors originally. You can order VESA 100 spacers or find plenty of free files to 3D print them on thingiverse.

    IDK. Those 90 degree elbows are all thats holding the weight of the monitors and theyre cheap cast metal, I wouldnt trust them. I have already seen one case of them breaking on this stand and sending 3 monitors crashing to the floor, destroying 2 in the process.

    • @TheYonks
      @TheYonks  Рік тому +1

      my setup has 12 of them holding the main monitor bar to the uprights... the normal setup is only 4...

    • @lavachemist
      @lavachemist Рік тому +2

      The problem isn't the corner brackets, or the material they are made from. It's literally that TK Racing/MicroCenter assembles it wrong,. It's quite normal to use cast aluminum brackets on monitor stands, sim rigs, etc. and never have any issue. It's not normal to put them at the fulcrum of a long lever, then put your heavy monitor on the end of that lever and hope none of the brackets break.

      @@advanceddarkness3 Those are what came with, it appears that they changed their mount design, mine are the latest version. I would check to see which ones are inside the box if buying it in-store, the older mount is not good.
