John wasn't on drugs here. He's just angry. And even rebellious and young and stubborn, his brilliance shines through. Truly, John couldn't mess up a show if he tried.
I love the man, but in all honesty, John's a very humble man & he could probably find one in there somewhere... My point is simply this, he's a changed man... And God Bless him for it.... dope is Hell on earth 🌎 daily... John is & always will be that quintessential guy, with this f'king unheard of sound & it was beautiful... His solo projects were phenomenal... We've had great guitarists, there's handfuls of them but when you start talking show men, guy's like Jimmi who played with Experience, etc like rocket's, they're out there... I'll always still be thinking about John, his rough time's, his demon's, the shit people go through every single day in life... Thank Whomever you will, he's still with us today, doing what we both love & that's experiencing him make music... Idk, just an opinion..
ive noticed in all these older shows John is an ANIMAL with his improv... not that he doesnt do any more recently or anything, but he seems alot more cautious now, kinda like back then anything went... the off notes are what makes this beautiful
he was pretty much out of it. He didn't like being in the band so he just jammed to the songs to get some fun out of it. Some times it sounds awful, probably on purpose, but at some points it's pretty nice.

Yeah its way out of tune but its still a very raw and cool performance. That says a lot about the band. John will be missed but josh will be great, trust me!
Or maybe guys he could have tried something new 🙄 he used to do solos like that on certain performances. Which its not bad. Not everything has to be melodical. Music can be expressed on different ways. And i mean, if he tried to sabotage this performance why didnt he do it the same way he did on the SNL performing under the brkdge?
