    Fact for those interested.
The Tsar bomba is already pretty much at the border of how much yield a nuke can have in terms of damage caused per kiloton of power.
Above it , you get decremental results , because most of the energy from the explosion gets sent into space and wasted.
So if you think a 500 megaton explosion, 10 times the tsar bomb , would have 10 times the destructive radius, that’s not how it works.
The actual destructive radius on earth would be maybe a few more kilometers while 90% of the energy would get blasted into space. Detonated at enough height the fireball would be huge and have a huge radius where it burns people and buildings.
Dropping 10 tsar bombs would have a way way larger impact than 1 single 500megaton bomb.
But even this is ridiculous and unnecessary, the last several megaton USA bomb , the B53 with 9 megatons of power was disassembled in 2011 and now the b83 is the largest one active with 1.2 megaton.
Accuracy is much more dangerous and useful than sheer explosion size.
People worry about how bigger bombs can be now days.
    They are much smaller.
Modern dangers are more the sheer accuracy or speed.
Like Chinese supersonic missiles that are impossible to stop.

@@tninkhtr actually they are absolutely stoppable. They have been for decades. If you shoot down a nuke it won’t explode, they only explode if the activation system is detonated and it’s working correctly, otherwise it’s only danger is the radioactive waste they leave, but no explosion.
The issue with Nukes was never stopping them.
It was that if they launch 1,000 of them and a single one slips, the tragedy is still massive.
That’s why Chinese hypersonic missiles. Those can’t be stopped.

Even if you detonated all of pure uranium on earth on one spot, it wouldn’t change the orbit one bit.

Theoretically a bomb like that could be planted on the sea floor some distance away from the target and be used as an earthquake bomb to destroy cities without any radioactivity. Or just use the Tsunami from it💀💀
The Russians do have a Nuclear armed and propelled Mega Torpedo exactly for this purpose. They claim it has similar yield to the Tsar bomb and can be salted with Colat 60 to create a radioactive Tsunami washing cities away

@@TheJTcreate missiles? warheads? Do you even know what this is about? During the 50's and 60's there were no nuclear warheads or nuclear missiles.
First high-yield thermonuclear weapon test were conducted by the USA and it name was Castle Bravo. It was a huge device mounted on ground and activated remotely. In order for the Soviets to show that they are not late with technology, they made an even stronger bomb, but now more compact and portable.
      Just nuclear race.
