⚡🤙🏼 *Gettin to the valve bein problematic would get old very quick* 🤙🏼⚡ Stunnin scenery to eBoard in 🤩 Some if those turns are pretty extreme, I probably wouldnt make it with how I run my trucks 😂 Nice to hear the difference in feel for Joe between belt drive and gear drive. Great point made about the puck remote, it's gonna be an issue for some though not all. Definately a lot of it comes down to preference so it's really good to have options. Awesome episode 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Great job! I've the Lacroix jaws 2.0 version. Belt drive. Had to switch out belts many times. Upgrading motor pulley to titanium but also need to replace rear plastic pulley 72t. Wish there was a titanium option. Only place sells them now that Lacroix shut down is lacroixEU and Sydney ben buckler and the shipping is wildly redonkulous. Any local usa place sells them? or has anyone found another option of upgrading hubs, etc for an alternate fix? Preesh!
Nice video guys, haven’t ridden the falcon drive, I’ve got an original Lonestar belt drive and it’s perfect. Swapping belts is no problems, I know that small slippage when taking off but that’s a micro issue. Big dollars but you can see what your paying for.
I am all for this removing of the entire hub 1:33 to pump the wheel......kickass! Yes the latest firmware will actually go into your belt drive 6:06 and tighten your belts.......insane! 10:10 5000 miles on your belts ...WOW! 11:25 oh so that's why the latest Teslas are coming out with belts! Elon is such a Genius! 12:08 Joe is the man, he knows his stuff. Gears all the way any day of the week, there is no comparison. Belts are for lower budget, passion and for feel of the ride if your into that, but they are weaker and if you look at the math, they have much lower efficiency which is also why they wear out and snap often . They not used on good car engines, not used on high performing motorbikes or many other bikes in general. They are great on 3D printers however! Chains are very efficient, even more so than gears but not the best for e-skate for practical issues and wear on the sprockets would be quite high and require a lot more maintenance the gears. The best thing about belt drive is the failsafe , with risk of failure lockup almost nil. So food for thought.
Dude these boards were BEAST!!! Had a blast filmin for u guys, and the redrock loop was such a noiicce road!!
Thanks again for filming it made the video so much better!!
It’s belt drive for me. It has a feel to it that just hits different. Not only that simple is always better.
Just bought a Meepo Voyager & a Acedeck nomad gear drive & love both these lil monsters, sad to hear Lacroix went out of business, beautiful boards

Thank you so much for tunin in!
I'd prefer that to the belt drive honestly. My experience with belt drives has... not been great
There is a good reason for it to be like that because if you hit a curb you’re definitely not having air in that tier anymore

Supposedly that issue is fixed in a firmware update. Will patch this one and report back.
Where did you buy/find the black metal "X" bracket that fits under the bolts on top deck that attaches trucks? Thanks for vid!
Exway has it
Do you hear a gear grinding sound when you are breaking
fast on the falcon drive?
I always say geardrives but I know flacon gears have reported many issues
@@80sDudes basically first run of geardrives has some issues
@@80sDudes yer I think it’s much better now
La Quaaaa
I had to go back and watch. I totally said it wrong the way Joe says it. My bad, y’all!
Would like a Surfy feeling for board riding - buttery carving - Thoughts on set up or board type?
Depends on your budget?
Really awesome stuff. What song is playing? It is a banger
Hyperdrive by Sebastian Forslund
Never Return (Instrumental Version) by Carvings
Jesus bless broisky, amazing video ☺️💯
Have to admit that if I had a gear lock up once and got thrown at 40mph I'd never want to ride anything but a belt again.
Joe is one Dark guy. I bet if he opened up his coat ravens would fly out.. if he fell on the bare Street he will be surrounded in a puff of smoke.
Bobbles my mind that you can’t access the valve from the outside of the rim
Let me know if you want me to take the board off your hands
