What was the water depth there and how deep were you fishing (if you remember)?

Thanks for the response.. I can imagine heading out through the inlet can be challenging at times and must be approached with caution. If you do that, I assume you only head out when conditions are calm or are on a slack tide ?

kcartwright2772 yes it definitely can be challenging. some inlets are more forgiving than others and can be dangerous.
