@@jp23x no worries. I am a C7Z addict lmfao had 3. 1st one I bought new in June of 16 for 66k plus ttl. 1LZ base M7. Second one was a 1LZ manual I bought used (sold my 1st one a few months later after getting it), I bought it in October of 17 for 57k and it had headers, intake, lower pulley, meth kit , and tune with 15k miles (M7). Sold that one in April of 2020 for 45k (thought I’d unload it before we went in recession lol) totally regretted it. Oh I bought my 17 3LZ A8 for 65k in March of 19 oh and it has carbon ceramic brakes and is fully loaded. I still have that one to this day but my M7’s were sold (yes I had both at the same time for a spell).
@@marioavila1559 C7 Corvettes never lose their values. Espesially the Z06. First reason being its the last gen. front engine corvette. Second reason being with all these EV garbage cars in the market that cost a fortune to own one.

Hard to believe that just a few years ago you could find a C7Z06 for 55k with decent mileage... these prices are insane. I do believe prices will correct them selves because at the end of the day, dealers will have no choice but to lower prices if no ones buying. Doesnt matter what the car is.

Lol 60k is what I paid in 2017 for a brand new Grand Sport. The pande ic really messed up car prices a 2017 would normally be around 40/38k.. hopefully at some point things get back to normal.

@@corvetteworldrob8586 I get that, I love the corvettes but to start to see the c8 s starting to drop to a pretty reasonable price with the zo6 coming out I think it’s not crazy to be optimistic that the c7 s will slowly follow. I don’t think they are too far out of what I would personally pay but the market all around has been crazy even for cookie cutter used cars. If life goes well I’ll be meeting you in the future. That dark gun metal grey one is pretty sick. At first I thought it had to many red accents but when you look at the whole car from farther away it is beautiful.

I remember when Chevy said msrp on the all new c8 would be 60 thousand bucks and here we are with a 2020 for 89,000 bucks still.
60k was for a 1LT Base nothing added 2020 Coupe only ($66k is Base nothing for 2023). Max Loaded 2020 3LT Z51 Convertibles could go over $100k MSRP.
It was if you want a stripped 1LT no options added. Most buyers add $20k+ in options. Mine was 3LT Z51 so about $91k after taxes and fees.
MSRP has gone up a lil every yr since 2020. Used ain’t the way to go. I ordered at MSRP wit a few options on the 1LT model & paid under 70k
@@livinglife3230 wait time was and still is 1-3 years for a new C8 Stingray. 4-5 for a Z06. Eray orders are already filling up. What is or isn't worth the wait is up to the individual. We've had over 700 happy used C8 buyers since the C8 debut, a chunk of which were not happy with the way their Chevy dealers handled their orders or their loyalty with the order in which those orders were handled. SO "Used aint the way to go" is EXTREMELY subjective.

They actually had a white 1LT on the showroom for 71k BRAND NEW after markup, not the color I wanted though. The c8 market it better than years ago & the majority of people realize that

Luckily it's gotten easier to get MSRP C8's if you're willing to wait a couple of months; problem is if you have a trade-in that knocks out your leverage.
I've been bouncing between a new C8 or a C7 Grand Sport/Z06 vert/M7. That combo in the C7 seems to be a near impossible combo to find, especially in a red with a 2lt or higher trim. Guess not a lot of people wanted convertibles for their GS/Z06's; or they are keeping them.
The C7 is my most favorite, North American car.
I have a 2016 Z06, 3LZ, in Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic, convertible with Kalahari interior. Yes it's an A8, but it is amazing. I've owned a 1991 ZR-1 and a 2011 CTS-V. the Z06 is leagues above. I'm so Happy! Thanks for the video!

I’ve always felt C7 Stingrays should be in the high 40’s low 50’s. Grand sports should be in the mid 50’s to high 50’s and the Z06 should be mid to high 60’s no more than $75K for a fully optioned 3LZ..
My reasoning is why would anyone pay more for a C7 Z06 when C8’s are becoming attainable in the high 70’s?
In 2015, you could easily attain a C6 Z06 for mid/high 30s. Now the new C8 Z06 is going for $200k.. inflation is a bitch! 😂
Respectfully I disagree. I'm willing to pay more for a well optioned C7Z 2LZ/3LZ than for a base C8 Stingray. I don't see C7Z prices going down until the C8Z market cools. And who knows when that will be!
I completely agree with you, these prices are getting ridiculous. This is what pushed me to the Zl1 1le. You get so much more car for the money. The zl1 prices are inflated too but not as bad as the z06

I'm not completely sure, but I'm pretty positive that some of those used c7 Z's are the same price as when they first came out, if not even higher. That's absolutely ridiculous honestly. Is that what the Corvette market is like right now for c7's??? Are they really holding value like that?
No. All are under to well under they're original MSRP.

I bought a brand new 1LZ in 2016 with 6 miles on it for 66k plus ttl. That was for a M7 at that. That same car today with 30k miles would bring every bit of 65k. It is beyond fkn ridiculous for a mass production car. This all happened after the pandemic thanks to all that stimulus money that was printed and all the unemployment cash the government threw at us. Today’s prices (inflation) is the price we pay for that.

This is the going rate for Z06
I juts got a 2016 Z06 with 50k, manual with a glass top, for the same.
Used prices are dropping but still inflated. Much shorter waits for MSRP orders but still too long. Local dealer here in S FL use to be 20-30k over MSRP (both used and new) and had then lined up in front. Went there this weekend and he has 7 C8s on the side lot for about 10k over MSRP used and they have been there the whole time. It will self correct eventually.

When Robert says "bone stock" "unmolested" does that mean it doesn't have any of that ACS composite overpriced plastic parts taped or glued to it? I always thought that stuff adds no value and actually detracts from the value of a car, and is harder to sell. Just wondering??
The ACS stuff is expensive. I’m pretty sure they also made parts for GM
ACS does not hurt value like some other aftermarket ad Ons due to years of proven quality. And no, ACS does not sponsor Corvette World.

Not true apples to apples. And a NEW C8 any trim...order today, 1-3 year wait at MSRP. Less than that are dealers charging 10-15k over MSRP on stingrays.
I don't see C7 Z06 prices getting any lower than they currently are. I base my opinion on the alternatives, the C7 ZR1 or C8Z, which are 2X the price.
They will come down bro just wait. Everything from corolla’s to lambo’s dog food to shit paper is severely inflated right now and is not sustainable. Less than a year shit will come back down to reality. I’m so thankful I own my modded 2017 Z06 free and clear and bough it before this crazy inflation.

@@coolguyalex127 my current 17 has speed engineering 2 inch catless headers, cordes 5 inch cai, cpr heat exchanger, iw 18% lower pulley, and an ice tank. Tuned on 93. I ordered a magnussen 2650 2 weeks ago which has a 4-6 week build time. Not looking for a record breaker but more of a fun ass daily. Also I think with the inflation currently everything will come back down to reality soon. Dog food to toilet paper, cars to houses are severely overpriced rn and it’s not sustainable.

Can someone explain something to me? Carbon fiber breaks, when it’s time to get new breaks do you get the regular breaks or a special break cuz it’s carbon fiber? Thanks

@@brentcollins9727 They can last longer than that. We had one in a couple years ago with 73k Miles and the Z07 brakes we're still at 50%.

@@brian8791 1. Rotors are the big pizza round thing which are "carbon ceramic" 2. Brake pads are the kidney shaped part that gets replaced when everyone says "i did my brakes." So of you have carbon ceramic rotors, you will need a special brake pad. Lookup "carbon ceramic rotor brake pad" when you do your "brakes."

Corvette prices, including the C8, are softening up a lot lately. The make so many, and the quality is never great.
I disagree. Quality is amazing for the amount produced. and I've talked to other Euro/JDM supercar owners over the years and the feedback I get from some about the quality control being better overseas is a myth. Some spend more time in the shop than on the road. Hand built or not.

Lord the car market is so bad right now. The guy was bragging about a $90k Corvette with 11k miles and having a wreck on the carfax being under MSRP... It's a used car with a tainted Carfax!!!! It BETTER BE WELL UNDER MSRP!!
It is under MSRP. And there are C8's floating around this market with Moderate damage reports still going form over MSRP without the documentation we have. This car would have retailed $120k in the market 2 years ago. They've come down, not crashed. And in this new age of Carfax and Auto Check, so minor damage reports for simple repairs are common. Since forking over a few grand cash is a lot harder for some than filing an insurance claim. DOCUMETAION is the key to explain what happened and who repaired and how. Chevy fixed the damage, a lot more credible than you Maaco special.

@@jasonconley771 Yes, because that is the reality! One's "feelings" on the issue doesn't change that. Facts are facts. Corvette World won't even touch a C8 Z06 right now with them being so high. There's a place in Dallas that sold a flipped a $145k MSRP Z06 for 250k.....with No Factory warrantee because it was flipped before 6 months.....and someone still bought it. You want to talk about Mark up, hammer that one home. We don't do that here.

C7s went up a bit. C8 2022-23s are holding steady for now. 2020-21s have come down. We couldn't get any 2020-21s 2 months ago. Everyone wanted 22+ level buy bids.
