The $2 being better than the $12 sounds crazy but when you think about it, it actually kind of makes sense. Tea bags are the dusty shavings of higher quality tea, but the mid range is just a more poorly made whole leaf.
Generally if I’m getting Taiwanese teas it’ll be high mountain oolongs but they have notable red/black teas as well(ruby 18 for example). China makes quite a bit of all the 6 basic categories of tea(yellow less so, but still more than any other country) so it really just depends on your tastes. I enjoy them all on occasion but my go tos are puer(both ripe and raw), Wuyi cliff oolongs, and aged white teas. If you want a list of reputable vendors to buy from I can send you a few I use, you can look through some TeaDB recommendation videos, or you can look at the tea subreddit’s vendor list. Don’t buy tea from Amazon, eBay, taobao, or aliexpress(not that the last three sites don’t have a few legitimate vendors, but you’ll have no way of discerning them as a newbie)
If your Green Tea is bitter it’s been over brewed. Also, get a decent quality one with actual leaves, nae dust. You’ll soon start liking the taste. Fare thee well.
@@FuzDoesStuff true, but at the price that they sell their teas, you would think they use real bergamot with that being said i ordered imperial earl grey from mariage freres online a few weeks ago its literally like the rolls royce of earl greys
The reason why the $60 one is the best is because it’s loose leaf so you get a more profile taste then the other ones because the other ones are just grounded into the tea bags which doesn’t give much flavor profile.
It’s pretty similar in many aspects. Terroir, storage, aging, leaf variety and quality, processing methods, etc all greatly affect the final product and the price will generally reflect that accordingly
I'll take the $2

To be fair, bergamot oil is EXPENSIVE.
