This was brilliant tutorial. no gimmicks. just strait to the point and dealing with the essential. not promising magic but telling the hard truth. I am a beginner but this helped me immensely. Thank you for such brilliant work done.
I am from México.I love your work, family and elephants.
Jajaja ya somos dos
I usually do not like Baroque music, and only study for the sake of hand independence. But Mr. Barton really make Handel worth giving a try.
Bravo ! Very often after finishing to listen or play a Bach or Handel sonata or any air, I like to say, Glory to God and Jesus-Christ ! Vivat Handel and Bach .
Thank you for your work is amazing and educational. And I love the videos with elephants. Greatings from Peru.
Thank you for this great tutorial Paul! It’s easy to understand and informative . ☺️
What a godsend - I was looking for exactly this. This is a great format for tutorials, it’s so interesting to learn the backstory as it were. Really appreciate the effort taken to make the video high-quality. This is such a fun piece to play, (although the version is slightly different from the one I have, and I haven’t gotten past Var. 3 yet, my LH is rubbish 😬). Your little tips make it more enjoyable to learn. Thanks!!
Very nice music, specially bird’s frills (11:15) that activates itself the next part joyfully.
I love such a transcription!
Thank you, master !
Thanks for uploading this .
Thankyou so much Paul. Just what we need in these challenging times
You are a wonderful man.
Greetings from Brasil, Paul. Really enjoyed this History/Tutorial series! I find quite interesting to know the background of the piece and of the composer aswell. Idk. It supports the whole understanding of the piece. Keep up with the good work!
Thank you for your inspiring work, beautiful playing, helpful teachings, links and so much more. May you be safe.
So glad you posted this vídeo!! I am studying the baroque era and I'm suposed to research the life of the gratest baroque composers! Thaks from Brazil!❤
So beautiful song! I love it! These major key is so brightful.
Very interesting Paul. I like the history that you give - and the Feurich Piano.
Ur a lifesaver 😭❤
Thank you so much Paul. I enjoyed your playing and tutorial. It was very clean and expressive. You are a great story teller. Research in the history of music is not my thing but I love hearing about it from others. I also love the beautiful tones of your piano. I wonder if you tune your piano as well? As with you, learning the arts is never ending. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💐🌸🕊💕🌺💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💕💕💕💕
Thank you for this music and tutorial, and especially for the very interesting historical background. 👍🏻

Hi Paul from Guatemala!
Eva Bonilla Guatemaltecos!
Vanguard did you just say Guatemala?
This channel is amazing.
Hi, I'm from Azerbaijan 🇦🇿
Maestro!!!!
Great video
Would love to see your take on Handel’s Passacaglia variations (G minor)
Hi Paul, please consider doing a video on how pianists can finance their piano lives without necessarily going on stage. Looking at your contracts with FEURICH Piano as well as with composers, I think you have some very interesting ideas to share. Thank you for your videos!
Hi Paul
👏👏👏
Wow
Regarding the second variation, is there another way of playing the mordents in the second part (see 22:00). He uses the 3rd and 4th fingers. I just find that impossible and any other fingers kinda makes it sound jerky...anyway, thank you for these great tutorials, Paul!
Love you videos. I'm a pianist and instructor. In the original manuscript Handel only included 3 sharps and wrote all the d sharps as accidentals. In variation 5 the left hand A major scales are sometimes played with a d sharp and sometimes played as a straight A major scale (measure 40 in my score). In the original he did not sharp the d. In your video it looks like you are playing d sharp on the practice tempo but d natural in the performance. Just curious if you noticed this and if you have any thoughts. Thanks! Chad
Wonderful video! I love this! I love to read biographies on composers, but very skeptical of what I read. Where do you find your information from? :)
.Nice One plus Gorgeous except ~ Stecus Accidit! Xxx
Paul, please play etude in d minor by Rachmaninov op 33 no 4!!!
Qué delicia🎹💕
Hi Paul,
What the name of the piece at 3:34 please. Thanks
Couperin - born 1668. Harmonious blacksmith, uncanny resemblance to - L'Art de toucher le clavcin sixieme Vol 4!
He forgot PDQ Bach’s Firewater music
I cant play the video. Shows an error :( (Solved) xD
I attended 3 recitals in Handel's living room at "The Handel-Hendrix house" in London where he composed the Messiah. I heard that Handel never married and was gay??
No escucho, soy yo sola??
Everyone calls him "handle", but he's actually called "hendle"...
