Can you tell/link maths of why klnW is written like it 2:00 , one way I thought about it is suppose all states have 1 chance out of W ways that is P of every state is 1/W. -ln(1/W) = lnW. Then the summation of - plnp = summation of 1/W lnW = lnW ( summation of 1/W) = lnW = entropy formula that you told = S/k.
If you want to start from the very beginning of the course, it is here: ua-cam.com/video/OVVcePiou2I/v-deo.html The first lecture with some probability content is here: ua-cam.com/video/vdSWMIh2o_E/v-deo.html Starting from either of these, just click on the end screen that pops up at the end of each video, and you will work your way up to this video after about 20-25 prior lessons.

That equation is derived in this earlier video: ua-cam.com/video/7V-IHpiTk2I/v-deo.html
@@PhysicalChemistry thanks alot. Negligence from my side. I directly jumped from probability to boltzmann.
Hi, I have no knowledge of this concept, where can I find the preliminary equations or the concepts before this please?
