My every day life has me at a 4-5. I deal with chronic migraines, endometriosis, and fibromyalgia. I appreciate you mentioning your pain and the fact that you're dealing with it even if there are times you're jealous of others or angry because that is my reality and I certainly don't see it represented or understood enough. I'm really loving the readathon and am about to go walk my dogs and listen to an audiobook.
i also have fibro and endo and I've never met anybody who has to deal with both of them like me - so I just wanted to say : hi, I feel u very much, it really sucks 😓 to be honest, I always seem to "forget" that these illnesses can be really disabling and I am constantly comparing myself with fully healthy people. your comment made me realize how mean I am sometimes to myself and I think we should all be much more gentle on us - especially when we deal with mental / physical disabilities. so thank u for your comment, I hope you are doing well! ✨
I feel for you I’m dealing with the same things as u minus the endometriosis since I took care of that with a surgery and the 4-5 since my fibromyalgia and chronic migraines are so bad that I’m unable to work.
Ok 4-5 scale not work I blame on my fibro brain which everything doesn’t make sense I kind of threw the pain scale out the window because a lot of time my pain goes from 5-13 and it depends on the time of day how much pain I’m in what makes it worse is that I’m immune to pain meds because I’ve been living with this for 33 years
🍜 This vlog was so chill. I don’t know what it is but I love seeing random hauls and little snippets of everyday life. These videos feel like a warm hug 🥰
36:37 “I just don’t have thoughts” lmao me neither 😂. I used to use twitter, then I adult and stopped knowing how to use it pffff 😂. I love to see what other people gets at grocery shopping, it gives me ideas and don’t know, just find it interesting haha. I also take a look at other’s while I queue at the checkout 👀. But not in a creepy way!! 😂 🍜💜✨
the gold lion things are called corbels and their a projection jutting out from a wall to support a structure above it. i.e; fireplaces, shelves and sometimes on ceilings in corners as accents :) but you can obviously use them as you wish :)
Your home is becoming more and more a magical place 🤩 What a great start to the readathon!! My first and only finished book so far is Upgrade - and I really really liked it 😁🖤🍜
This is a great readathon you have done an amazing 🤩 job. I’m Lowkey taking part and am enjoying everything that has been put out on the readathon on all social media. The library 📚 and the quests are a lot of fun. You’ve been a busy beaver this week. I’m sorry you’ve had such a painful 😣 week your a trooper you got this
🍜 aww! I missed your weekly vlogs so much. I always used to look forward to them so much every week. But I also understand that your health comes first and it’s more difficult. I understand the pain as I’m am a migraine sufferer as well and it so hard to do much when when the pain just lingers! On the plus side every blog is a reason to celebrate!
I love the decor! Your place is becoming a manor house. :) I love this idea of wall sconce with pillar candles on it. And YAS a chest that looks like old timey luggage! I love it. Dang, this haul is making me wish I had a house so I could theme rooms and decorate them. As a fellow lover of PB ice cream, I love that you tossed pretzels in there. *Brilliant*
@@BookRoast same! Especially when the person lives in a different country and you get to see all the different items, or an item you know, just packaged differently lol. 😁
🍜 while I like all of your content and have asleep of glee when I see you have posted a video, this is my favorite kind! Thank you so much for all the time you spend creating.
I always love seeing a grocery haul - especially with cats involved 😺 Glad to hear that you had a good time reading Cemetery Boys! 🥰 Thank you for this cozy vlog, it cheered me up ❤
I am halfway through my first book for the readathon. I haven't had the mental energy to read or do anything really but survive life for the past few days. I plan on reading a chapter before bed and maybe I can get out of this mini-slump. I always enjoy your vlogs. They are so chill. I like the variety. It is not just about reading. 🍜🍜
I'm definitely biased about Cemetery Boys because it's probably one of the first times I see my culture depicted in that way in a book. It was wholesome and I just loved that. It definitely got to me
I have constant pain as well and because of my pain I live on a disability pension. On the pain scale most of the time my pain is the same about a 4-5 (I’ve been able to bring that down to where it is now because I no longer work. When I worked it was always at an 8 or higher. That doesn’t mean that I can function better because my pain has gone down because it’s still constant pain). The problem is, it’s constant; there’s no break from it at all. I’ve had it since I was 26 ( it was caused at worked) and I’ve turned 50 this year. That’s a lot of years to be in constant pain, especially when I worked for 17 of those years. The last two years, every morning I would sit on the side of the bath after I’d had a shower and just cry. Then after I talked myself in to moving (because I had separated from my husband by then and had no choice but to work) I would get ready & go to work. People don’t understand unless they’re going through something similar. Anyway what I want you to know is that you’re not alone, I & others do understand. I think you’re an amazingly strong & beautiful young woman. I’m afraid there will always be hard days and there will always be good days. Just remember to listen to your body and what ever it needs, whatever you need to get through your day then do it. God bless you✝️🥰
🍜 Thanks for taking the time to vlog, it's always so calming and relaxing, but also funny, to watch your videos. I hope your reading pace stays good, I'm three books into my tbr as well☺
I also managed 3 books in the first week but they were all super short. :D I really enjoyed Cemetery Boys when it came out, my rating was very similar to yours. Happy reading in week 2! 🍜
🍜I'm glad you had a good time with those first reads ! I read Cemetery Boys last year and quite enjoyed it, gave it 3.5 stars cause I found it a little too predictable, but I really liked the characters and the atmosphere. I loved the haul ! You found beautiful items 🧡
I can totally see that!! It just really hit right for me, I think I needed a fun easy fantasy so good timing but agree it’s definitely not given me many plot twists I didn’t see coming from the very start 😂💖
I’m loving the readathon. I’ve read 3 books so far 🥳. Thanks for all the work you do to make it happen. Also for those wall mounts you had, if you want to put candles on them still you can get those electronic candles. Maybe get some Velcro or double sided tape to make them stay on. They look really pretty by the way.
Can we all just acknowledge how good G's makeup and hair skills are? 😻 My favorite was the hair with half bun half down hair and also makeup in the same day with the dots under eyes - ADORABLE!!! Also I'm LIVING for these long vlogs, I was so sad when I finished watching because it ended, haha! Hope you are doing great! One question - will there be open spots for Moon Messengers for Patreon? 🤍 Also 🍝.
if things sit on top of your DRY skin, you're using the wrong type of product. Moisturizers and stuff use either moisture to nourish or lipids (oils and stuff), research which products have which and try them out. That's how the 'sitting on top of your skin' feeling stops. E.g. I can't use any moisture based creams, they will slide right off xD but facial oils work wonders for me :)
I also read Cemetary Boys the first week of August! I gave it 4.25-ish. The writing style was basic for me and I personally cannot stand writing that describes people's clothes (I don't care. Reminds me of fanfic. But this does not include the binder because that WAS important to bring up and mention) and it did that a few times.
Fancy comfy bitch dungeon is a great sounding vibe 🤣 I have to avoid candles too (and scented soaps, etc.), because of my migraines. The only candle that doesn’t bother me is the bath and body works cinnamon and clove. But, then it always smells like Christmas lol 🍜
This was such a nice vlog to watch in the morning while I get ready for the day 🍜 Also, what is the hair oil you use? I’m always on the look out for more hair stuff. And I’m also fan of bodyshop skin products - I like that they have refillable shower gel and you can’t recycle bottle pumps etc with them
Does anyone know what book/notebook that was in the background when G was showing the home wear haul? Also, loved you showed the home wear! I’m hoping to move out soon and need to start accumulating! 😂
I think a lot of the harshness in the reviews for ‘No One is Talking About This’ is due to all of the prize attention that the book got.
