Thanks guys! Great video. Been struggling with 2 part epoxies and super glue for a while now. Just ordered myself 3 20 gram tubes of BSI. Looking forward to trying it out!
Ok, I've been reefing about 20 years and my mind was just blown when you said that you preferred the tube because you can squirt it underwater... all this time was squirting out of water and trying to quickly rush a frag/plug into position before the glue solidified.
Don't feel bad, I have been in the fish game since 1973, but didn't ever do that so... Ok...so I am older than dirt...don't look it but I am... lololol 👍
Hey thinking about your comment, a tip that might be useful is store the glue in the freezer between uses (no oxygen so lasts longer) also CG has a pin in the cap to help keep it clear...sometimes chucking a bottle in warm water lossens up what's left in a bottle too. Hope there is a useful tip there for you. Happy reefing.
Woops I should have read all the comments before posting my own. I agree 100% there. The best I have had experience with is the BSI. I have been using the same tube for years without any clogging issues.
There is a big difference between super glues . The glue I get from my hobby shop is a lot better than stuff from craft stores . Big Difference ! Nice shirt
Something I would have liked to see is how long you can keep the used tube for. I used to use only hardware store cheap gel glue (with the method frag -> glue -> epoxy -> glue -> rock), and basically after a couple of weeks you can discard it. On the other hand, the BSI tubes last me for years, with periods between openings ranging from days to months!
I have not tried the tube yet sounds like I need to, the extra thick is great and the Scotch is great as well. Polyp lab is terrible it hardens before you get the frag to a rock :-(. I ‘ll try the tube underwater
Without doubt the most annoying aspect of coral glues is the fact when you screw the top back on its always clogged/stuck on when you come to next use it. If any manufacturer solves that problem you have my money!
has BRS really jumped the shark this hard? Come on guys, you used to actually do informative videos. Reef branded super-glue has got to be the biggest racket in this hobby, we deserve better than this crap.
Maxspect glue gun. Great idea, poor execution. You end up wasting as much as you use. I bought a bag of tips on Amazon because they clog after a single use.

I'm a fan of the Jurassic glue. I used it to do my aquascape. It drys slightly cloudy so it blended well with the eco saver dry rock I used.
I’ve been telling everybody this forever. I love BSI gel and the accelerator.
I use the polyplab premium glue works great for me and easy to use
Wish you would discuss which one is easier to use the second and third time, ie., tube doesn’t clog

A Coraline or sandy tone colored super glue would be cool. Especially on aquascaping or fragging, for us OCD people.

I guess not specifically a "glue" but a mention of the e-marco 400 for rockscape would be an awesome option.
Seachem has a really thick coral glue as well and I love it
Which adhesives are best to bond big lava rocks and cures black/dark grey?
I really need to learn how to use super glue under water. Every time I did I was gluing my fingers. 😂

Love tunze 104.75 coral gum instant - fast, easiest, clear hands and don’t kill my skimmer :)
Super Glue gel from Dollar Store. That's my go to...
shhhh, don't want my supply to be in jeopardy.
It’s not toxic to fish?
If you want to color the super glue all you need to do is get someepoxy resin pigment and you can make the glue any color you want
Seachem reef glue without a doubt
Which is best for rock to rock glueing underwater?
We like the E marco Mortar, or even an Epoxy for this. If this is small rocks you could use our super glues to bind these rocks together.
What about flex seal paste.
we're not sure if that one is reef safe ;)
What kind of idiot doesn't glue underwater? *laughs nervously looking around
Lol
1st here 🙌
Gorilla Glue gel. Large tube😉
JCT Reefer is that glue reef safe?
Add me to the never used glue underwater group.
