You definitly have to teach us how to make that flamethrower! All in You have been very creative with the detail-work, and I am very impressed. Amy`s stitch-work tops it off, giving it that cool Mexican, badassborderrunningtakenoshitkindofaguys, getaway car, me thinks. You get my vote for shure, Doc!
I have to say no matter what happens in the contest you've already won the real game just by building this thing. Admittedly I liked it in the semi finished state a little bit more but I'm not here to talk trash on a awesome project. I'm quite impressed at how fast she is.But as we all do I'm sure you're going to be searching and tuning for more speed at some point in time.If you do I think you could easily use propane injection to really give it a kick in the ass and it would look right in place with the NOS bottle ;) Propane gets confused with the bad side effects of NOS pretty often but old timers have used it for years on diesels .My grandfather used it on his plow tractor for years to reliably add power when needed.A simple push of the button would give him 20-30% extra HP on demand as often as need be. It really would not take much to do a simple setup, solenoids for NOS work and you wont need a fancy controller as long as you use it wisely. The most difficult part would be deciding on the proper jet size but its not a complex equation and as long as you dont hit the button while lugging the engine there's no need for a fancy controller.Essentially you just hit the pedal and as soon as you start building revs give it a little squirt and you've got a extra 25% on tap ;-)
Really cool build! I happen to work at the company where your gas pedal came from, it's great to see one of our products on such a fantastic project. Best of luck to you in the contest!
sew0in0tents Hi! You're with Midwest Super Cub, are you? Neat. I scored the pedal used in a trade deal, Really caught my eye. It was missing some pieces so I had to improvise a couple things, but I love the piece. Thanks for chiming in!
Wonderful walk around, you did so much to this thing, and you probably realized you missed sharing some things after posting this great video!? My favorite part on the DW is the hood assembly! Great stuff, and thank you!
Get us a link.. I'll sign up and give you a vote. Tried locking(welding) a rearend(spicer) in one of the mowers today that didn't go so great. Cut it back apart and gonna give it another go tomorrow. I think i need a 700 and straight axle or something need more speed on the V-twin mowers.
Yes , show us how you made the flame thrower. Btw that's just bad ass doc . I've managed a drift trike for my son I haven't mustered up enough to do a ground up build like that yet
Ah shoot man, I took a clip of a Perkins diesel that uses a flame thrower in the intake to aid starting. It uses an electric element and as it heats up it opens a valve and shoots the fuel thru the element. Its on my channel somewhere, I think it was last winter.
Awesome! Kinda like a Sprockets Garage mascot! You should post a pic of the tractor pre-modification next to a pic of it now on ATLTF, just for fun haha.
Definitely the flamethrower video. Did you take advantage of the Venturi effect to get the fuel in the pipe? I'm also wondering if you put an extra magneto around the flywheel for a spark introduced in tailpipe by spark plug?
Some very good questions! My initial tests did use the venturi effect, and I got 2' or so of flames. I've stepped it up for the final product. I used a seperate "ignition" system for the flamethrowers.
If you want more top speed just throw a smaller sprocket on the rear. So get rid of like 4 teeth on the rear for more top speed and if you wantmore torque and not as fast top speed at like 2-4 teeth. Awesome kart though!!!! Thing is soooo sexy. Great build man!!!!!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
think you should have built a mini coffin and but the weasel drive train in it now that would be freakin kewl but he is a cute little ride like he is hahah
Sprocket's Garage I seen a thread on atltf titled VOTE HERE so I replied "Doc's Diesel Weasel" guess it won't count, but ill wait for the 1st and try again, still new to the site

Kick ass man what kind of Diesel are you running? and where can I get one :)
It is a chinese clone of a Yanmar L100 single cylinder, aircooled. Check my channel for the Great Diesel Weasel Reveal-Action! video. You'll love it!

I think it was Krylon.

If you do a one-to-one gear ratio you should be able to hit 50 miles an hour plus
The current ratio is 4:1, and I have radar checked at 48.75 MPH.
Surely to god it is NOT LEGAL for a fully grown man to have So Much FUN!! :-)
think you should have built a mini coffin and but the weasel drive train in it now that would be freakin kewl but he is a cute little ride like he is hahah
If you don't win I'd wonder about the state of humanity
Dave Ackerman- I wonder, already... lol
Good point

Teddyvision - Voting begins Dec 1st.
Sprocket's Garage I seen a thread on atltf titled VOTE HERE so I replied "Doc's Diesel Weasel" guess it won't count, but ill wait for the 1st and try again, still new to the site
All I can figure, is that must have been for something else. I'll put up a link to the real deal when the poll opens. Thank you for your support!
Sprocket's Garage 👍👍👍👍

I did produce another action video with natural audio. Enjoy.
WOW...
I'm dumbfounded!................ :-
Yan fron brazil very good car +one escrity
Little propane injection will act the same as nitrous with the diesel fuel !! That’ll get you to fifty mph
should add some propane injection into the air intake get some more HP out if that diesel 😉
Might happen. My next move is a turbocharger, actually! Stay tuned!
Vote for me!
You're not even competing this year, you silly sh*t!
I did, but dropped out lol.
Really cool, like it.hey doc check out Mustie 1 you would like his you tube channel
Will do. Thanks for the tip!
300lbs? that's heavy
300lb is pretty light actually. Some modified mowers weigh 600lb+.
Keystone Motorsports I don't know how heavy mine was, but I could load it into a pickup truck without ramps by myself.
