That’s really a bummer, that Chris Columbus did amazing job with Harry Potter, and did terrible in Percy Jackson, but thankfully they’re getting a reboot TV series for Percy Jackson
@@brysonfreeman7226 No idea what happened tbh, as he in fact faithfully adapted harry potter, but not this. The tv show is really good also for me as non-reader (of percy jackson). The film was quite good too for non readers though.
When he says he can't see 11 or 12 yr olds fighting with swords It bugged me. Part of the reason why some people don't like it is bcuz the characters were way older than in the books
He completely changed her character she is way different in the book's Annabeth was a strategist 1st a fighter 2nd . What do you mean he stuck to the plot i thought the plot was them going to Hades to get the bolt back not them going all around looking for pearl's and i seem to remember a huge fight between Ares and Percy did not see that in the movie in the movie they just gave us Luke & Percy i don't know about you but i would rather of seen The God of War
i agree i mean he did not get one thing about Annabeth right she has blonde hair not brown and he tried to turn her more into Clarice and did not say anything about her ball cap or that she want's to become a architect and the story did not even mentioning Ares because i was looking to see that fight between Ares and Percy
Why did you think some things from the book had to be removed. It's ok for some things to be different but you changed too much and there are so much plot holes . 12 year olds with swords I thought that would've been cool.
They don't have to FIND the pearls, they get given it, and that's the whole movie. And Percy shouldn't know his full powers yet and struggles the ones he knows he can do. hades goes on percy's good side (by the way hades doesn't get killed and can't because he's a god), not his bad side, by finding his helmet. Kronos is the bad guy not luke who is supposed to be his servant (and who doesn't die!) no one knows poissiedon's his dad at the bggining
It's not that the story isn't exactly the same, it's that it's entirely different. I'm extremely open-minded when it comes to book to move adaptations, but there's a difference between changing a few things and turning the entire plot upside-down. I've never liked Chris Columbus, honestly, and I don't even see how it's possible for them to make a sequel without making a whole new story, they changed so many things. They screwed themselves over.
Well his adaptions of the first two harry potter books were amazing and pretty faithful, so of course they trusted him with this. Not sure why he changed so much. But since I never read the book, I still liked the movie albeit the new tv show I like more.
I don’t care about your “rockstar element” Hades is supposed to be god-like They are in life or death situations how does their age make them cheesy!?!!? She is a strategist first and a fighter second, Annabeth is *NOT* clarisse! You really didn’t deserve the second movie Harry Potter is completely different from Percy Jackson Mmhm you were just changing the small details *right* but um you do realize that you changed the ENTIRE plot line, added in scenes, cut scenes, ruined the continuity, confused character identities, and stuffed up not only the second movie, not only the rest of the series, but every series that comes after that!
how can you kill it with harry potter 1 & 2 then shit on Percy Jackson. I'm fucking baffled
20th century fox happened

2:04 I really hate this part. Especially since this guy directed the Harry Potter movies
I'm sorry I can see having a 13 year old playing an 11 year old but a 26 year old playing a girl who is suppose to be 11 is ridicules
its 12
The movie was barley an adaption, it was more like when they take fairy tales and add ridiculous twists.
just wondering . . . is there an official statement that they're going to make a sequel????? pls. answer me
I know his cousin because his cousin is my teacher
i heard a rumor they are but no word of whether its real or not tell late 2011 or 2012
2:44 yes he is talented but you made Percy act like a jerk in the movie
You started the movie of fine and then...
you rolled it down a cliff stuffed in a barrel filled with broken glass and nails
one of my fav directors of all time
poet215 who ruined the series
