As a hairstylist I completely appreciate how “excited” you were the whole time. I get super “excited” too. I have done a few of these and the way you described what you thinking the whole time mirrors my experience. Thank You for sharing this 💕
I’m in the process of going from box browns/reds to my natural silver/gray. I’m taking steps to get there instead of one day. Bless your heart! I know that has to be so stressful! You do amazing work!
I have learned so much from your videos. It’s not lost on me how honest you are about your doubts and fears. Your willingness to share your vulnerability is so endearing because, if we’re honest, we all feel that way more often than we like to admit. You rock. Thank you!
I went to Paul Mitchell Beauty School. My hair had layers of box color as well as temp and semi colors from burgundy to black. My hair was bleached at 20 volumes for 20 mins. After a rinse deep condition, my hair was checked for strength and bleached again at 20 volumes for 15 mins. I was shampooed, conditioned deep conditioned, then toned. My gray hair is beautiful, and my roots match my ends. Alot of product brands were used, why? Did the $1500 include take home product to keep her hair healthy? Total time 3 hours, total cost $100. Charge what you can, and someone will pay the price. 😮
My grandmother was a colorist in the 40s. Colorists had to keep their recipes distinct so no two ladies had the same hair color and they also had to keep secret who had dyed hair around town…most husbands never even knew if their wives had dyed hair.
You are so real, I love your commentary because you make me feel like I could be doing exactly what you’re doing and it’s so relatable… Especially appreciate you sharing your insecurities worries and should’ve could’ve would’ves
You’re a magician. Wow. I wish I could have this done. Watching you learn as you went made it a great watch. Real and special. Luv your dedication to keeping the hair healthy and properly lifted. Best boxed dye to silver transition video I’ve ever seen. 💚💚💚
Not a hair stylist and I don’t dye my hair, but this was so fun to watch! Is it easier to go gray on all natural hair? My grays are coming out and I don’t want to dye because I don’t want the damage nor do I want to deal with the maintenance. But I’ve been thinking about going fully gray at some point.
You would still have a grow out even if you got a gray transformation so I would not recommend doing anything to it and just letting them grow out if you are already fully natural! That’s the most seamless grow out 🤍
So pretty! I don't have box dye, but color from "root taps" & bleached highlights. I wonder if that's harder to correct because my hair might have banding?
I REALLY like you!! You pretty much spoke all my thoughts i had doing my recent gray transformation. You are SO real. Not arrogant like some stylists. Im definitely subscribing
So Amazing, your endurance is incredible! Im not a hairstylist but thanks to an artist like yourself and others I have watched, I most certainly have learned so much. Thank you for sharing your time, skills and talent. 🤗
I’ve heard that there’s no hair older on anyone’s head older than 6 yrs? Let me know if u hear other wise please. Wonder how Barbra Mandrels hair was to her ankles??? Love your work!!!!❤
Great work. I think more of the warmth on the ends would've been removed with a blue based grey than using silver (it's not strong enough to cancel out the yellow on it's own). Also, the"bond builder" in the Redken powder is just citric acid, not some fancy ingredient lol.

@@stephanieshankaran09 And I have experience helping clients match their grey roots to their ends. Not a correction specialist but definitely done this a few times. And as you even stated, she said her mistake was using too much clear- but my comment was that even without the clear, silver alone isn't strong enough to cancel out the yellow since it lacks a strong blue or purple undertone, and it'll just turn the hair beigeish grey. The not too bright part was rude and I will admit that (was upset about something else, sorry about that). But I wasn't telling her how to do her job, just giving a few tips from personal experience.

Not a hairstylist, but your video had me from the beginning. I’m an old Henna fan and no help for me other than wait and wish hair time went faster than real time. I love that in this day and age you share your formulas. (I do have some K18 on the way, so excited about that! Now…what about that magic growth formula? Thanks for the video!
Several years ago i went to a hairdresser asking if my box dyed brown hair could be made grey as i was growing out my hair. I was there for seven hours, it cost me $500 and my hair was orange, they bleached my hair 5 times. Then they told me they were short staffed that day but they wete happy to take my money. I paid another hairdresser $200 to correct the colour. I ended up shaving my head. My hair turned to mush, so off it came. This lady is obviously a specialist and enjoys her job.
I would be very disappointed if my stylist was eating “oat bites” aka stuffing their face with fast food all day and still charging me a flat fee. $1500 day rate/flat rate client deserves every single minute of attention.
Being a hairdresser u rely need to brush up on your stuff more u def should of used 20 volume from the beginning that was a no brainer and u should of already knew using so much clear would of deluded the stuff 🙄 and u say u used 400.00 in product ? 😳 where ? 🤣 I do not see 400.00 worth of product unless maybe your paying retail from a high end bougie 🤑 store lol this is why ppl are hesitant to go to a salon to have things done because of the lies they hear from the hairdresser that thinks there all that when they rely don’t have much of a clue of wt there doing and there still learning lol 😝 and her end result I would be very very very upset if I was her as her hair looks gray ok but it’s very dark gray as u left it on way to long and 2 there was way to much yellow in it so it made it look like she was a dark muddy gray and a heavy smoker with the yellow in it that is not a look not a good look as most try to get rid of there yellow and now she won’t be able too just kinda ruined the whole thing with I can just imagine how much u charged the poor girl 🙄

I never saw Barbara Mandrell with hair past her mid back. I believe you meant to reference Crystal Gayle. She had the looooong dark luscious hair.
This clients hair is about 3 years old on the ends max. 1/2 in growth per month.
Looked about 18 in long on top to bottom.
🎉so helpful, you are talented and a good teacher
I love this idea of going grey , just wondering how much does this cost 💲??? I’m really interested in getting my hair done like this 🙏

Great way to tell a colour correction specialist how to do their job 🙄 even though she mentioned she wished she didn’t put as much clear lol

Using all these chemical products on her hair for removing the colour is crazy! Dont understand why not let it grow naturally?!
I thought you would not color or tone her natural grey? Now she’ll still have demarcation as it grows.
STUNNING ❤
Yeah, this video was awesome! Thanks, dude🖤🖤🖤
Where are you located I need this done!!
Amazing results!!!
Why do foil when you are lifting the entire head? What is the point when you are not weaving part of the hair out? I don't get it.
8 years of hair?! Really. Looks like 36 months 3 years max .5 in 12 months =6 inches per year.
Are you blending the greys?
Maybe numbed up to a level 9?
❤❤❤❤
Hi ! I would like to make an appointment please
How’s her scalp doing?
Stunning work!
Did you tone her natural root?
Can you get K18 whole sale as a hairstylist?
