I would be very interested to see long term climate models. The earth has been through massive climate shifts before. Where I live in the rocky mountains which is considered a high desert, their are fossils of tropical plants and even sea life from millions of years ago. 20,000 years ago most of this area was a frozen tundra. I believe the climate is changing and I believe human activity is causing it. Just wondering how long it will take the earth to reset itself. I also wonder if Humans will be able to adapt while it does.
Mother Earth will make sure we don’t adapt while the resetting is taking place

@@Gil7111TXWeather models are more unpredictable and difficult to formulate, because change can occur rapidly, in a matter of minutes, hours, days. Climate models are much easier to forecast, since effects happen over a much longer period of time. Nearly every climate model for temperature and greenhouse gas emissions has been true thus so far. Taking a look at Exxons very own report from 1970, it is shocking how accurate the predictions are.

So you want fossil fuel to stop being used? Ok let’s deal with pollution then too.
Remember back when people remembered that we lived on the tail of an ice age…🤷🏻♂️
That's weird because I remember seeing record lows being shown during the lockdowns I like legit remember that
Not in Siberia
Yes...some record lows as arctic air masses descend south, but many more record highs due to green house gasses. And when those cold air masses descend, they don't leave behind an ear popping vacuum...rather warm moist air masses, like storms, flow north into the arctic to fill that potential void. This warms the arctic even faster and further threatens the ice there.
Not hard to understand why.... Stay at home longer.. more usage of electricity and water... This tracks back how the source of energy and purification works...
Not so perma now huh
"Perma" is a social construct
Basically
The main solution for getting our civilization off on fossil fuels in a reasonable time period would be a switch to nuclear energy, but the hardcore environmentalists won't hear of it. We can't switch our entire electrical grid over to solar, wind, geothermal, etc., however. These technologies, while greatly improved over the deceades in efficiency, just can't do what nuclear can. Any issues with long-term storage of nuclear waste are minor compared to letting the greenhouse effect continue to ramp up for the entire planet.
