SM is soooo stupid for not releasing Bye Bye as the title track, promise it would have become a huge smash hit like Bad Boy, they stupid and thought doing another version of Queendom with Birthday was smart but it didn't register with people much, people are thirsty for good haunting sexy R&B tracks, IVE's Love Dive is one of the biggest digital hits of the year in Korea, Bye Bye could have been that, it also has that super western radio-friendly sound, give us an english version and watch it go viral worldwide

Birthday was def not an instant bop for me, but now that i've listened to it more, i feel like it's doing its job. Love the album as always, the bsides are on point. I feel like aesthetically, visually etc. this album is Red, and full of redvelvet weirdness, however the song wasn't enough red for me, it's been a long while since we've had a very quircky red song imo, since maybe RBB. I really miss that, but i can't complain since they always release good music.
Even though this is my 12th or 13th Red Velvet comeback, some things never change: I'm always nervous beforehand, and I'm always surprised after. These five tracks are so good. I wish they could get on the road and tour now.
