Just wanted to say, been talking to SIRUI about the light and they are very open about making improvements and have even added a function to the app to control the fan. Shout out to them for being cool!

I really like your reviews Dustin. You show stuff in real world use. Saw you sold your S1H. I'm still using my mine and looking at getting my son a S5IIX as he is part of our small production company and is a natural with composition. Keep up the great work.

Glad you enjoy and appreciate you watching! The S5IIX is definitely a great choice is almost the same as the S1H just smaller. Although I do still miss my S1H at times.

great video and great test. you are absolutely right. the light is not in the premium price range, but still not cheap and if you want to buy such a solution, then only because your workflow requires that you constantly assemble and disassemble it. with the glue thing, i also have doubts that you will have fun with it for a long time...and then it was unfortunately very expensive.

Glad we're in agreement! SIRUI has been super cool about it though! They have taken all the feedback to heart which is nice

Great review. I really like the light and need to buy something soon, and this fits the bill. But the longevity is a big concern for the price point. What else is there out there to consider which is so versatile?

Honestly not sure. It was really handy on set a couple of days ago. Enabled us to move extremely fast but yes build quality not amazing. For the versatility it might be worth getting just may want try and baby it so it'll last. I'm sure there's a warranty on it
