It means the earth MUST have immediately DOWNWARD Curvature in ALL directions around you✅ This is a scientific FACT! BUT it doesn’t curve at ALL, because there is NO curvature TROLL… Are you smart enough to know that? So just how stupid are you? WoW, are you an ignorant halfwit🤣 You’re just a indoctrinated regurgitating LIAR, who’s never traveled ACROSS this earth but sit in your diarrhea filled diapers down in your basement like a mindless baby😂😂 How pathetic you are.. It’s easy to tell you have absolutely No experience flying, driving, boating, hiking, ice skating, fishing, mountain climbing, playing sports, building anything, etc. etc. especially TRAVEL! You prove you’ve never been in a plane because just looking down using your very OWN EYES proves there’s no curvature seen FOOL.. And anyone who’s past 2 years of age also KNOWS it’s the airplane moving NOT the earth spinning! Time 4U2 Shut up with your nonsense & educate your dumb azz.. Stop LYING to yourself And Travel👍👍 Have some self respect.. There’s only ELEVATIONAL differences on this earth with mountains hills and valleys at different Elevations ABOVE and BELOW Sea LEVEL.. But it’s still a Stationary, Flat & LEVEL surface… Ask a Pilot how & why they use an altimeter! It reads Sea LEVELS to keep them so many feet above the ground not curvature stupid! Then a Gyroscope keeps the plane flying LEVEL.. Ask any pilot if they fly LEVEL ACROSS a LEVEL Plain! They ALL radio the tower to say when they’ve LEVELED OFF… Airplane so named by the Wright Brothers because it is a Machine that flys in the AIR over a PLANE✅ STOP regurgitating and START investigating.. It’s time you educated yourself and have some self respect too! Time 4U2 GrowUp! Visit a shipping port or train terminal dumb dumb! Visit an airport, Runways don’t move & face in all directions... Sea LEVEL, Ground LEVEL, Horizon LEVEL and Eye LEVEL have been called that since man’s beginnings for a reason! Now go change your face diaper as yours is filled with the diarrhea you spew so freely like an indoctrinated IDIOT 😂😂😂 Stop lying to yourself about what this earth really is… It’s not a spinning scientifically impossiBALL sphere!

Partially agree : if you only care about projectiles, it's okay. But to comprehend the effect fully, the practical experiment here is utterly misleading, it doesn't explain vortex. Even the plane flying north across USA is compared to a projectile like if the air (weather conditions) could be ignored, you can't fly a plane for real and obtain the proposed result 100%, not a good analogy IMO. Not everything is a bullet many times denser than air, and projectile drift due to Earth rotation isn't as dramatic as that tennis ball relative trajectory. You can actually observe the effect with various water drainage device, then go bigger and bigger til the scale of a hurricane across dozen of states, only then you'll understand why the atmosphere seems to get stick to the Earth while being subject to the effect, the human eye doesn't just see it right away, it takes hours to unfold. In this kind of experiments, you must use one or more of three tricks to demonstrate the effect :
      - speed : go fast enough to reach great distances in order for the human brain to compute observations before loosing track.
      - scale : reduce the area/volume of experimentation to make things observable
      - focus : on one observation at a time to ease understanding of each concern.
The experiment here reduced the scale of Earth to a mere park playground, and only focused on the kinetic part of a projectile. That's only 5% of everything at play in the Coriolis effect..... I'm afraid most people will only remember the parabolic trajectory of something thrown, then will babble something alike to try to explain vortex in their closet and storms.... very incomplete grasp of the phenomenon.

They will start by saying “of course Earth rotates underneath the pendulum” (two reference frames). And then when you ask, “why doesn’t Earth rotate underneath drones or helicopters?” They will say, “Because everything moves as one” (Now all of a sudden one reference frame).
So everything appears as if Earth is motionless moving in lockstep (one reference frame) and somehow that proves we have spinning with a Coriolis effect (two reference frames).
It is truly like pulling teeth…

Thank you very much for this great work and video. The Coriolis effect is also a wonderful analogy for Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. When the speed of the rotating reference frame changes, meaning the Coriolis field changes, a rotational gravity appears around the platform, similar to the electric field induced by the change in magnetic field density, which is a principle of electric generators.

Enjoyed your video but had a few questions? Isn't the earth and the air above it rotating in lockstep? And if so, wouldn't this make the merry go round demonstration not comparable to the spinning earth. For example, when you lifted the drone and hovered it over the merry go round, it never drifted away because of the earth's rotation, but if you lifted the drone off a railroad boxcar traveling at 30 mph, it would not land back in the same place. To equate the merry go round Coriolis to what happens on earth, wouldn't all the conditions have to be the same? The air above the merry go round is not rotating in lockstep with the rotating platform.

    Your demo was excellent.
However, I've never understood why, in the case of a low pressure system, as air is drawn in it would (by demonstration) deflect AWAY (i.e. to the right, clockwise) from the low center.
Of course, satellite observation tells us (in the northern hemisphere) deflection is moving TOWARD (i.e. to the left, counter-clockwise) the low center.
This remains a mystery in my mind, and I've been studying weather for decades.

What I got out of this is that you calculate how long your projectile will take to reach the target, then you calculate how far the target will have moved during that time, and you aim that far ahead.

AA 516 - When the 3 balls are thrown simultaneously to illustrate direction of air molecules they curve to the right, they move in a clockwise direction representing the direction of acceleration as viewed by an observer on the North pole. How come then, the direction of the hurricane in the northern hemisphere is counterclockwise? Is the eye of the hurricane the low pressure zone where air is moving towards? In which case it seems like the hurricane should have a clockwise rotation? Or is the air moving outward from the eye and curving to the right giving it its counterclockwise rotation?

Deflection. Earth rotation velocity at equator is max and decreases as you move towards the poles.
Think billiard or snooker balls. A left or right spin on a billiard ball will impart the opposite spin on the other ball.
Earth rotation=Counterclockwise rotation >>>imparts Clockwise rotation to the high pressure system air >>>
Clockwise rotation High Pressure air moves towards Low Pressure System(becoming a Hurricane), Earth imparts opposite rotation. Therefore, Hurricanes in the northern hemisphere have Counterclockwise rotation.
