My 13 year old son came downstairs where I'm on the computer. He had his little radio with CD player. He had found mom's Air Supply CD. Told me I had to hear this epic song. After he played it for me, I came here and cranked up the volume. Almost blew him out of the room but it was great to sing along. He still doesn't realize I've been singing along to this epic song for almost 40 years.
Sadly my daughter does not appreciate this and even makes fun of me for and ironically does not realize that the songs that she does once in awhile listen to that is 25-30 years old are songs that I listen to so it's just a matter of knowledge and appreciation and not really understanding that connection to the music.
This is one of the best line-ups of Air Supply. When I think of Air Supply live, this is it despite the lacking of guitars and I'm a guitar-oriented person. The band is just majestic carried by the powerful force of the drums. This is the type of recording I want on my album - with some shredding of course. Russell said, "Here's a new song we just wrote...We hope you like it...the audience was speechless, then they went wild...I have seen them twice since and will go see them as long as they are together..I hope that I can see them in a 40th anniversary concert in 2015
