So many things and places are hidden in plain sight.
    Thank you for sharing, friend.✨

Hi Antonio, I checked your channel to make sure I hadn't missed any video's, I definitely didn't get notified of this one.
Such an amazing underground location, it's absolutely huge. So much is hidden from normal people who just get on
with their daily lives, not realising there is a whole different world beneath their feet.
Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖

Antonio you have me glued to my monitor. These spaces are really gigantic. Very interesting. This place is beautiful. Now I’m off to watch Willy Wonka and the Other Chocolate Factory.

It was quarried from as early as the 1400’s to the 1800’s so 400 years in the making !

It wasn't built in the traditional sense, it was just mined out into what it is. The area was used for mining at least from 1244, possibly earlier.

I don't think the company ever stopped making those sweets, but they were bought out over and over (and during the communist times in Hungary, every enterprise was state-owned). Those type of sweets that were popular back then are still made by prominent companies here; the Danube pebbles, the cat's tongue, the cherry bonbon with liquor.
