Claire is the queen of having an entirely different conversation than everyone else. I definitely feel as if we are headed towards the ranger getting attacked by the poachers and actually having to go to the hospital against their wishes. Though, I wonder if the incident that granted them the NWL status landed them in the hospital and while they can't remember exactly what happened, they were left with their aversion to hospitals. Amazing job as always!

Ok a lot to unpack here 1) the Ranger had there memory altered which means they are no good to the bad guys if the Ranger took a dirt nap. 2) the poachers must have really big connection if they were able to stay out of pen (prison) for so long which leads me to believe that they have a bigger role to play then we original thought 3) it looks like Clair is willing to go out of her to restore Ranger's memories and that show's us that there slowly but surely growing closer together and I am for one loveing it. 4) and finally I have a theory that Glenwood is trying to protect herself and the people live within by bringing the green pack, the Ranger, and the Seer etc. I believe Glenwood is in a sense alive and is like a mother to the people of the small town P.S awesome video yet again castle keep up the great work

Random thing, might be the only one, but...Ranger is probably ex-military or ex-cop. Reasoning strict schedule, they have a routine they don't like breaking from and stick to it like gum on a shoe, combat abilities or in this case just the ability to take a beating

Sort of like an all-or-nothing sort of deal which makes me wonder what exactly happened. I'm calling it they fell in love with somebody who is Supernatural in some way shape or form probably vampire due to the memory erasing. Something happened they died and either because it was so traumatic or because they were going to do something stupid if they didn't somebody erase their memory.

This is absolutely amazing, good on Ranger for restoring my faith in them! Claire's put up with a lot of their crap, and it's nice to see them come through. Ignoring how hard they Matrix-dodge that little love confession, I've got a little theory and I apologize if someone already came up with it: There's obviously a high probability that Rachelle and her found family of misfit vampires had something to do with it, but I've got a theory as to the why. With a non-wielder, you can wipe their memory and not worry about them rediscovering magic by rediscovering their own powers or talking with magical contacts, and if that person investigating weird happenings can't associate all the weird with vampire or other magical related incidents with the supernatural and report on it, the vampires can fly under the radar. And when other higher-ups get wind of weird stuff, they'll see that the NWL hasn't reported any issues and assume everything is fine. Meanwhile, Rachelle is in the background, doing nefarious things and laughing in evil. Sorry for the crude delivery, but that was the best I could shorten it up.

Okay conspiracy time. I'm on the mind set that Ranger was maybe going to confess, but it also could the paranoia. They are feeling paranoia and Ranger might think they have something. Also, I think Celine knows Ranger but they don't remember. Ranger has been there for at least 6 years. They have been an NWL for 8. The Green pack moved in a few months ago and the territory lines up right with the reservation. Celine owned that place before it. And we have yet to have Celine talk about the Ranger or even in the area. Plus, Claire has never mentioned the Ranger to Celine in any audio nor in the same event. Now my thought is that when Celine answers Claire's voicemail there will be a giant lore drop on the Ranger. Still trying to figure out how the Hospital links with it. I feel like this both helps and hurts the theory from that trailer a while ago about the past with the listener being the ranger. Gives a good time frame for it to have happened and with the the vampire magic it could be possible that during that point in time is where the reason for the memory wipe is. but also depending how much time would have needed to pass for Celine to have come to power could end that theory as well.
now on my second run through - random theory about the ranger's background, before they moved to Greenwood, they knew and some kind of relationship with the paranormal community back home, enough that them losing their memories would have been noticeable and that they lost touch which is why their status as an NWL hasn't been updated as whatever or whomever made them lose ranger's memories wanted them to move as the paranormal person wouldn't have wanted their authorities to be onto them, also made me unsure of whom's the emotionally stupider person between ranger and Clare as I thought Clare would reveal it first,

Always more questions than answers with Ranger, one of these day's we'll figure you out. These vampire shenanigans are shaping up to be grand conspiracy. One of them wiped Ranger's memory, not just of a particular incident, but the entire concept of magic. Seems to suggest that Ranger had been onto something for a while and erasing just one thing wouldn't have cut it. I get the feeling they were poking around whatever business Rachelle and Isaiah have cooking up. Though that does beg the question of why not just kill them? Would their death have looked too suspicious? Does Ranger have connections they don't remember about? (omg love triangle with a partner Ranger forgot -crackfic). I was thinking the same on Diane. If the Ranger is an NWL, there should be some kind of paperwork or correspondence with higher-ups or something, but the Ranger obviously can't be doing it and Dianne always has a TON of paperwork on her desk. Definitely suspicious!
But yeah, I feel like having the Ranger as an NWL with no memory of magic has a few benefits. You have an official of some kind up there who doesn't know to report weird stuff as supernatural shenanigans, so others in the magical community are more likely to assume everything is fine. It's completely disproved because when Ranger hurts their leg doing a perimeter check in "Tended to by Your Alpha Rival" Claire says it is midday. It is completely plausible that someone is just taking blood from them and then modifying their memories. I won't rule out the possibility that Ranger could have recently turned into a vampire but I still think it's unlikely. From what we've learned about memory modification from Celine I'd say they are still very much human.

9:45 I’ve never thrown my phone, ripped off my headphones, and screamed into a pillow so rapidly. Why is Ranger always embarrassing themselves… It’s what makes them human, I guess. But both of them suck at picking up cues. It’s frustratingly entertaining. Claire and Ranger are so awkward whenever they have a conversation that isn’t strictly professional(other than the snarky comments). You’d think there would be progress, but instead of taking ONE step forward, they’ll take three steps back. But, hey, Claire isn’t going to ignore them anymore, so I guess that’s something. Ok a lot to unpack here
1) the Ranger had there memory altered which means they are no good to the bad guys if the Ranger took a dirt nap.
2) the poachers must have really big connection if they were able to stay out of pen (prison) for so long which leads me to believe that they have a bigger role to play then we original thought
3) it looks like Clair is willing to go out of her to restore Ranger's memories and that show's us that there slowly but surely growing closer together and I am for one loveing it.
4) and finally I have a theory that Glenwood is trying to protect herself and the people live within by bringing the green pack, the Ranger, and the Seer etc. I believe Glenwood is in a sense alive and is like a mother to the people of the small town

I'm calling it they fell in love with somebody who is Supernatural in some way shape or form probably vampire due to the memory erasing. Something happened they died and either because it was so traumatic or because they were going to do something stupid if they didn't somebody erase their memory.

This is absolutely amazing, good on Ranger for restoring my faith in them! Claire's put up with a lot of their crap, and it's nice to see them come through. Ignoring how hard they Matrix-dodge that little love confession, I've got a little theory and I apologize if someone already came up with it:
There's obviously a high probability that Rachelle and her found family of misfit vampires had something to do with it, but I've got a theory as to the why. With a non-wielder, you can wipe their memory and not worry about them rediscovering magic by rediscovering their own powers or talking with magical contacts, and if that person investigating weird happenings can't associate all the weird with vampire or other magical related incidents with the supernatural and report on it, the vampires can fly under the radar. And when other higher-ups get wind of weird stuff, they'll see that the NWL hasn't reported any issues and assume everything is fine. Meanwhile, Rachelle is in the background, doing nefarious things and laughing in evil.

Okay conspiracy time.
I'm on the mind set that Ranger was maybe going to confess, but it also could the paranoia. They are feeling paranoia and Ranger might think they have something. Also, I think Celine knows Ranger but they don't remember. Ranger has been there for at least 6 years. They have been an NWL for 8. The Green pack moved in a few months ago and the territory lines up right with the reservation. Celine owned that place before it. And we have yet to have Celine talk about the Ranger or even in the area. Plus, Claire has never mentioned the Ranger to Celine in any audio nor in the same event. Now my thought is that when Celine answers Claire's voicemail there will be a giant lore drop on the Ranger. Still trying to figure out how the Hospital links with it. Possibly the Vampire doing the illegal memory wipes could be a mad scientist type. Those are my thoughts so far. AAANYWAAY, I cant wait for the confrontation video between the Ranger and the hunters!

I feel like this both helps and hurts the theory from that trailer a while ago about the past with the listener being the ranger. Gives a good time frame for it to have happened and with the the vampire magic it could be possible that during that point in time is where the reason for the memory wipe is. but also depending how much time would have needed to pass for Celine to have come to power could end that theory as well.

now on my second run through - random theory about the ranger's background, before they moved to Greenwood, they knew and some kind of relationship with the paranormal community back home, enough that them losing their memories would have been noticeable and that they lost touch which is why their status as an NWL hasn't been updated as whatever or whomever made them lose ranger's memories wanted them to move as the paranormal person wouldn't have wanted their authorities to be onto them, also made me unsure of whom's the emotionally stupider person between ranger and Clare as I thought Clare would reveal it first,
I mean that Clare would confess before the ranger, also headcanon for the ranger in my head, they are walking away thinking that their feelings will never be returned

These vampire shenanigans are shaping up to be grand conspiracy. One of them wiped Ranger's memory, not just of a particular incident, but the entire concept of magic. Seems to suggest that Ranger had been onto something for a while and erasing just one thing wouldn't have cut it. I get the feeling they were poking around whatever business Rachelle and Isaiah have cooking up. Though that does beg the question of why not just kill them? Would their death have looked too suspicious? Does Ranger have connections they don't remember about? (omg love triangle with a partner Ranger forgot -crackfic).

I was thinking the same on Diane. If the Ranger is an NWL, there should be some kind of paperwork or correspondence with higher-ups or something, but the Ranger obviously can't be doing it and Dianne always has a TON of paperwork on her desk. Definitely suspicious!
But yeah, I feel like having the Ranger as an NWL with no memory of magic has a few benefits. You have an official of some kind up there who doesn't know to report weird stuff as supernatural shenanigans, so others in the magical community are more likely to assume everything is fine. Even in the world of magic, bureaucracy is a thing!

It's completely disproved because when Ranger hurts their leg doing a perimeter check in "Tended to by Your Alpha Rival" Claire says it is midday. It is completely plausible that someone is just taking blood from them and then modifying their memories. I won't rule out the possibility that Ranger could have recently turned into a vampire but I still think it's unlikely. From what we've learned about memory modification from Celine I'd say they are still very much human.

So kinda like how a memory can be attached to a certain place, can the same be said for if a memory was taken away?

So Ranger had their memory wiped. Voluntarily or they had no choice, if that is the cause then what happened? Was it because they moved? Or did Glenwood make them forget? Or was it both? Ranger wanted to forget so they moved to Glenwood thinking it would, quiet literally, be a new/fresh start?
Ranger is going to remember. Somehow they will. Cause I think a tiny, tiny pice of Ranger remembers deep in their subconscious.
I am curious to know how the relationship between Claire and the ranger will be now VS how it could been if Ranger remembered. Like would Claire trust them more? Would she even be more open? Oh, so they're poachers who specifically hunt shifters? I'm assuming if Claire has specific regions in mind when asking that there have been cases of poachers specifically targeting shifters. That's even more interesting now.
And if they do get fired, I guess they're no longer gonna be Ranger? Curious to see what their next "name" will be :D
I'm really interested now to find out why Ranger's memories were altered, what brought them to Glenwood and how regaining those memories will change their life. I'm looking forward to Endax, but I really can't wait to have these stories progress further as well.

I’m so excited and terrified to learn more about memory magic. You do such a good job with all the lore and mechanics (for lack of a better word) and it’s so cool. I got so many theories why Ranger does like hospitals, the top of which h is that they are a vampire or some other manner of undead being. Can’t really go to a normal hospital if you’re dead
