- The wait is over, I'm playing Bloodborne for the first time and this is the third video of me doing that!
Bloodborne is a souls game similar to Elden Ring where you are a hunter and you fight beasts. Playing Bloodborne for the first time is a terrifying experience but also very fun. Enjoy!

All souls games since Dark Souls 1 have a hidden mechanic where if you mash R1 and L1 repeatedly you free yourself from grab attacks faster so you lose less health and not get knocked down. Just a thing to consider into all the future games!

For the Moon Rune, youll get the Rune Workshop Tool from a boss Hemwik Charnel Lane, which will allow you to equit the runes you pick up. To get there hang a left when you reach the gates of the Grand Cathedral. Hope this helps, love the videos 💜
In addition to that, to actually equip them, go to the hunters dream, at the back desk inside the castle/house thingy, right behind wheel chair boy. (Smack the wheel chair guy for shits, every time you run through there. You’ll understand why after you finish the game lol)

Also u can make the witch fight easier than it already is by spending all of your insight after entering the fight for the first time

If you go back to the endless pit you dropped down, on the way down is a door you can open that leads to a cool location. It has 1/3 of the most important items in the game in there. Make sure you use them when you get them. 👍
I hope you do the Old Hunter's DLC as well. That's where the real fun is!

So if you get hit, the white part of your healthbar will represent where your remaining health is. However, to the right of that will be a lighter red color. That represents the health you can get back by attacking your enemies. So you can regain a good portion of your health without burning through all your blood vials.
Bringing your attention to this bro. The mechanic is called Rally, and it's key to survival in this game.
Before you enter the fight with vicar amelia, there is a pathway to the left that leads to hemwick charnel lane. After you fight the boss there, you will be able to use those runes you found.

It seems people haven't told you about attack healing! When you take damage, look for the orange bar in your health bar. If you damage the enemy that damaged you before that bar disappears, you'll gain health back! It's often more efficient than backing out for a blood vial, but don't rely on it too much as you can end up getting demolished if you're not careful
Waking up in Yahar'gul jail after getting snatched was my second-most-creeped-out moment in Bloodborne. (Top honors: Upper Cathedral Ward)

Damn you’re progressimg smoothly! Ludwig’s Holy Blade is a favorit of mine, espesially the L2 moves. Also you might want to explore "the pit". There is a mysterius door you if you fall just right.

It's always nice to see newcomers to the Hunt. There is an NPC in jail, but you must wear Gascoigne or Black Church set to be able to talk to her.

Casually strolling towards Amelia with 20,000 echoes. This is a great playthrough and glad to find your channel.
If you land a fully charged heavy attack while behind an enemy, you can visceral attack them. Pro tip for the big opportunity the kidnappers give you when they get angry.
I just replayed Bloodborne this week. Was kind of upset how fast I can beat the game. I did all the optional bosses in the base game and it still only took 25 hours. I remember my first play through was around 80 hours.

Practice the holy blades move set. R2 after a charged R2 and the L2 are great combos. Also pro tip: when you summon, your damage gets cut
You should go back to the place where the sack-guy took you and explore the prisone a bit more to get to another optional boss. Also, in the prison there’s a nun NPC that you can lead to the hub if you put on church robes you’ll find at some point. Also, a mildly spoilery hint...
When at some point you meet a weird homeless looking guy who seems like he’s eating corpses DON’T tell him about your hub...instead attack him for some good time ;)
Or send him to the kindly clinician.
Mad man's knowledge allows you to gain insight. That eyeball icon below your currency. The more insight you have..the more you see things that you wouldint normally see...
It seems you need to upgrade your weapons, and also equip blood gems to said weapons.
Ludwig's Holy Blade is easily the best weapon in the game in terms of pure numbers.
You can also farm twin shards from the bag boys in Hypogean Gaol, and upgrade your weapons to +6.
With a +6 Saw Cleaver, the best gems available, and one fire paper, I've repeatedly and easily killed Amelia in about 30 seconds.
I've got some tempered blood gems equipped. I'll farm more bag boys to go from +4 to +6
You should try Amelia without a summon. She’s so much harder when all her attacks are focused on you and she’s not facing her arse at you for most the fight 😂. She’s defo way harder than BSB, imo anyway, at least you can parry BSB!
I’m currently grinding through NG+ atm and it’s crazy seeing how little echoes you get per kill in NG, I forgot how much of a grind getting 20,000 echoes was back then. In NG+ you have like 50,000+ echoes spare change after leveling up 😂

theres a special chalice dungeon glyph that's the best blood echo farm in the game, especially with the Moon Rune(s).
Use it in later playthroughs to basically eliminate blood vial and bullet farming; using it in your first run kinda ruins it, especially since you might get tempted to use it to also level and buy everything easy (thats also why Im not saying the name of it.).
I don't think I've seen you do it yet, but you can score the same weapon those old men in the wheelchairs had! Go talk to the first window with the sick gentleman, back by the second lantern!
If you trade with an enemy quickly continue to hit them while they’re in the dying animation. You’ll get health back as if you were hitting them while they were alive. Works on everything you kill if you’re quick enough, just happens a lot more when trading.

A tip: the "Ludwig's Holy Blade" is a Quality weapon, so i recommend you to level both strength an vigor to get more dmg. Btw, to make cooperators (like Henrriet) go back to they world, just use the silent pistol item; And use the Red Brooch for god's sake
The holy blade has an unique heavy attack follow up to the charged heavy and it smacks boi.
Its l2's are good to make use of too
Some weapons have a L2 attack when transformed
The saw spear is the GOAT in my opinion, the transformation attack is the sick and it scales with skill, which boosts visceral damage, it was my personal fave because speed is favored in this game more than heavy attacks

Find the witches of hemwick it will let you use runes
Happy to see you use another weapon, so many people never use anything other than the saw cleaver and it's boring. You can also equip 2 weapons and 2 guns without worry since weight doesn't exist in this game. Also again try charging your heavy twice in a row, not all weapons have 2 charged attacks but ludwig's blade does (two handed)
Different tombstones in the dream each represent different lamps took me a while to figure that out
I'm enjoying the series so far. I don't know if I saw it suggested here but check out doing the chalice dungeons. You got the first chalice from killing bloodstarved beast (the flappy boss). There are mixed reviews about enjoyment of the chalice dungeons, but they also do come with the benefit of giving better bloodgems than found in the main game as you progress through them.
I'm sure someone has already said this but the great sword has a second heavy attack after you charge it.
My guy you're a small channel, but I'm digging the first playthrough for this. I've played every souls game, and bloodborne is a great treat.

Go back to yar'hargul to get the tonitrus weapon before you activate the blood moon and also go back to the section where you dropped down that big pit and open the doors that are halfway down it for a secret area. Also heads up before you activate the blood moon youre gonna wanna get the cainhurst summons its probably the coolest area in the main game with one of the best boss fights in the game.

This is why I IMMEDIATELY get the Holy Blade, and go back to the Kidnap Village (Ya'hargal) and farm. Most of the enemies drop 1200-1500 BE's per death.

Runes can be equipped at the workshop back at the hunter's dream. You can have four runes at any given time I believe.
LHB is this game's claymore, OP with no gimmicks, the best all-rounder weapon, the basic b*** weapon, the weapon that makes the pros laugh and the noobs cry in pvp, my favorite.
This guy is soooo chill. I lost my head a million times by now in my first playthrough. Gascoigne took me a week to beat, the hidden drops killed me more than Amelia 😅 and so on. I love how it feels like I'm watching a Minecraft video, not a survival horror from soft game.
If you're facing the stairs that lead to Vicar Amelia's boss arena, take the left path. When you get to Hemwick Charnel Lane, defeat the boss in that area. There is a room just after the boss that will give you the item you need to use the Caryll Runes you've been picking up.
I abused LHB my entire first playthrough. Go a quality build and just murder everything, especially when you get to, as you put it, "the slugy slug type enemies"
Eileen is without a doubt my favorite Bloodborne character and one of my favorite soulsborne characters.

Im on bb new game plusx2 after I haven't played in 4 years and fell in love with it all over again... but, I can't beat Ludwig on a build strength lvl 184 smh
If you go to one of the tombstones in the Huntersdream and you complete the first dungeon using the chalice you got after defeating the blood starved beast, after that you will be able to search for chalices and if you search for the chalice code CUMMMFPK after entering it if you walk a little towards the entrace and stay there you will see an npc dying on your left, after he dies you will get 83.000 bloodechos each time you get in
One thing you may start to notice is that farming blood vials suck. I recommend buying extra blood vials at the lantern merchants with your leftover echos after you level up. Soon you'll have plenty
Fun fact, the hags have Laddles, not knives. She's not slicing your throat, she's gouging your eye out. Fun!
You always know what soulsborne game someone played first. You called blood echoes, runes and I exclusively call them souls. 😂
If you want your left handed weapons to do damage upgrade bloodtinge, if not don’t even both upgrading them. At +10 you may do 20 extra damage which is not worth that you put into it.
Yo extend your weapon then fully charge one heavy attack instantly followed by one non charged heavy will send most enemies flying backwards

Charged heavy attacks on an enemy from behind are the backstabs of this game. Very good against pig buttocks. Charge attack and stagger then R1 for riposte.
Does you not know you can recover some of your lost health right after you get hit by hitting the enemy immediately after you take a hit. Theres a small window of time where you can partially regain part of the lost health. Its to help you play faster and more aggressively than in the DS series.
I always get sad when the youtuber goes with Ludwigs holy blade, also known as the Basic Bitch Blade.
Duuuude when you do a summon bosses are harder and have more health. So if your summon dies during the bossfight you are stuck with the more-health-boss

You managed to save the prostitute, she is one of the 2 miss able ways to get an item that unlocks the "true" ending. Be careful of getting her killed cause if she dies and so does another character you will only be able to get 2 of the 3 endings and lock yourself out of a boss fight.

You can pop up the knowledge thing and it will give u insights which will allow u to buy fire and electric papers from the insight shop
For blood viles and echoes I would say killing pigs is best to viseroll charge a heavy attack and hit them then you can viseroll on them and get viles and echoes

At 8:57 you have motion gestures turned on. If you hold X and move the controller you do an emote. I heavily recommend you disable that in settings

The white cost dudes with the hat and staffs are really easy to parry . It’s not Ludwig’s weapon they just like to pray a lot

Bro when u were dropping down the middle of that huge tower there's a secret door halfway down that takes you to another version of the hunters dream you need to go there and collect all of the items give the hair broach to the doll in the hunters dream and sell the doll outfit there's some other cool items in there you need to go there to get platinum and there's a lamp there too
Also the little monsters that run away from you and disappear should be killed they drop useful items
