I suddenly got cold on this rainy day, so am snuggling with the pup and thought it was the perfect time to watch this video! Believe it or not, I have never read any of Dylan Thomas's works 😮 I LOVE his poetry based on what you shared!! Thank you for sharing all these treasures with us. I just went to my favorite little bookshop a couple days ago and now I want to go back and look for some Dylan Thomas 😊 I want to read the novel he wrote, too. I especially love the book of artwork inspired by his poetry. The bird deck is beautiful! I like the artwork a lot. I adore that you infused your trimmed Thoth deck with his poetry...perfection! I always feel like the Thoth is poetry made visible. ✨❤️✨
Awww! Love this comment so much! Thank you for watching 🤗 I had no idea as I was filming this, that it was actually his birthday. I knew his birthday was the 27th, but for whatever reason, I thought yesterday was the 25th 😂 I was suddenly inspired… couldn’t get him out of my head, and sat to film this around 1am this morning, the 27th. Had no idea. His birthday. I hope you can find some Dylan Thomas at the book store. You can also find his poetry on UA-cam. Richard Burton reading the poem Fern Hill is something I listen to constantly. I think you’ll like it. Let me know if you find it.
@@SecondThoughtsAboutTheMission Of course it was his birthday when you had been dreaming of him and then inspired to film the video 🥰 I will keep you posted for sure!
Oh I love this so much. The boathouse fascinates me…. Buildings often my strange way into obsessions. His life there has a part of my soul, so this was incredible! I am fascinated by Caitlin too . They had a huge Dylan Thomas exhibition at the arts centre in Aberystwyth and had the soundtrack of under milk wood playing and it was so amazing. Thoth and Dylan….oh my!!! Just the best Rachel ❤
Candy, this is one of the best comments I’ve ever read! I’m overjoyed to hear you’re a Dylan Thomas fan! I had no idea! I think you’re the first person I’ve talked to, who’s familiar, and that’s sort of crazy, but true. I would have loved to see that exhibit, and I’m also fascinated with Caitlin as well! This is so strange, but when I filmed this, it was a sudden inspiration at 12:30 am … started gathering materials. I was mistaken in thinking it was the 25th of October, when in reality, I was filming this at 1 am on October 27th (today) Dylan Thomas’s birthday! Happy Birthday Dylan!
@@SecondThoughtsAboutTheMission I love that synchronicity of Dylan’s birthday and isn’t it so nice to stand on similar ground with someone and just hug souls for a moment ❤️❤️
I’ve read a couple of his most famous poems, and loved them, but for some reason I haven’t read anything else. Guess I need to get a book of Dylan Thomas poetry.
Oh I would love so much to hear what you think if you decide to explore more! Some of his poems can be difficult , but if you can wrap your head around the fact that he’s playing with syntax, that’s all you need. His father brought the children up with an ignorance of the Welsh language; They learned ‘proper English’ but Dylan was determined to write poetry in English which had a Welsh sound. It’s like music. Richard Burton on the other hand, who I spoke of, was also Welsh, and grew up in a coal mining household; His father shunned that sort of learning, but Richard, who didn’t know English, was taken under the wing of one of his professors, and became one of the greatest stage actors who spoke the English language (also a Scorpio, famously married to Elizabeth Taylor). They say he was buried with a copy of Dylan’s poems. I love that sort of thing.
Ooo I should do this! Loved seeing this how cool that he was in that deck!
I think you’d have a blast with this tag! 💗💗💗

Of course it was his birthday. This is why reading is a major part of my spirituality. I hope you enjoy the reading of Fern Hill 🖤❤
