Great video , you got one more subscriber and fun !!!.
One question here, i do play picado WITHOUT putting thumb on Low E string ( no resting ), and i can say i will gain double speed if not resting the thumb compared to the thumb resting on 6th string .
The question is , is it ok to play picado without resting thumb ?
Does it effect the future improvement of my akills and will counter my play technique? Or i have to go back and practice on resting the thumb ?

Thank you for subscribing. The best way to answer your question is to ask another one. What do the great flamenco players do with the thumb when they play picado? I was a student once. If I was in any doubt I would always look at what the masters do. I discovered they all rest the thumb on the low E string when playing picado on the high strings. There is no pressure of tension. It’s just resting. When they play on the bass strings the thumb moves off the Low E string and rests lightly on the body of the guitar and moves up as the fingers move up to play on the lower bass strings. That's how I learned and I have never had a problem with that.
But everybody is a little bit different. I would never dictate any set rules that you MUST do. All I can say is if you feel comfortable and happy with your picado sound and speed without resting the thumb, I will not try to change your mind about it just because I do it differently. Will it affect your future technique? I don't know. For me, resting the thumb on the bass string gives my hand stability and certainty about where my fingers need to go even if I'm not looking at the guitar. Good question. I hope my answer helped a bit.
