All good except one small correction, that you cant control the speed of the rotation of shaft. Meaning, the steam that would rotate the shaft is not in our control. We place the highest rated machine as per design, but we always need frequency of 50 Hz, hence we use control algorithm to bring our frequency to 50 Hz.

I may be incorrect, but is that a shorting ring for the dampener windings? I know the dampener windings are shorted, but I’ve only noticed the ones on the shoe before.
