I’m actually surprised at how clean the engine bay looks with the engine out. You’re right, the fluid leaks were the best thing for it lol.

Maybe the gearbox has had an aftermarket gear set fitted to it? Hence someone fitting that HKS triple plate clutch. Might be worth inspecting while it’s out. Great update, super excited to see this build progress 👌🏼

Man, I feel the pain, pulling out that engine... but the complexity of modrn engines mean you'll be lucky if you pull it within an hour... but good luck on that Silvia (re)build.
Cool to know that the car has been build pretty good actually. Very Lucky that it didnt root away, but still sad to See how time starts wearing out rubbers and stuff
You don't need to do the subframe at all.. just engine mounts and trans mount the you have the right idea with the long extensions.. just less stuff to undoi

Hell ya that cars in good hands goons turn out just like the yashio pink s15 but I think your gonna be alot more rowdier in this car cuz it don’t mean as much just like u said massive backward entry coming right up

I love how much you can upgrade a perfectly good car like the Silvia to get an amazing drift car
If you want to have a daily drift car I may suggest the newer model renaut twingo, it is mid engined and rwd but you can get the Brabus( German tuning shop, they make mostly amg parts) turbo upgrade for 160hp+ and the form factor is similarly to a kei truck or van

That engine removing was pretty straightforward!! Good!! Now a lot of wiring tuck-in and move some stuff outta the way so it's ready to weld news tubs and repaint / fix the engine bay!!! Yay!!
Which direction do you wanna go with this one? Drift missile practice or clean daily kinda type?
I'd love to work on pure drift missiles and "mend" stuff... I'm used to fix rust buckets here in Canada and weld new sheet metal where there is non-existent or rusted thru floors, not a pretty job, but heck nobody sees underneath usually lol
