northwestern alum here! i worked on and around ryan field all four years in broadcast and it's kinda sad to see it go, but at the same time it's been a long time coming and the new stadium is going to be so so much better - sad to see the field that i graduated on go away tho :(
As someone who works at Northwestern Athletics, I could you that you could have taken practically anything from the field and probably no one would have cared. We were grabbing football helmets and other gear till the day it began to get knocked down. Even found a 1997 Rose Bowl hat laying around one day.
Pitt Should have done something similar to what their doing to Ryan Field and rebuilding a new stadium on the same site. However in 1999 Pitt was catering to the basketball program more than the football program because it was making more money than football was. The Big East was one weird conference but one of the last old school traditional regional conferences in college sports. However Pitt should have found a way to building an on campus stadium. Just recently was Heinz Field now Acsurise stadium filled for a Pitt football game due to the history of the Backyard Brawl Against West Virginia.

The left and right margins are SUPER HUGE for some reason, and its smushing the video pane so far into the center of the page that the rightmost 27-33% of the video pane is not visible because it's cut off by the suggested videos on the right of the video pane. It's only happening for your videos in particular, and its happening on videos that didn't have any problems previously. You might want to check your settings to see if there is an issue there thats causing this. Everyone Else: Is anyone else having this problem?
25+ year season ticket holder. Kind of sad it is gone. Spectator sports are dying with the lack of attention span among the young. I think spending $800+ million for a new stadium is crazy.
