- The Slaw's are on their late summer holiday in France in their Hobby motorhome Helga and their two Lhasa Apso dogs Billy & Jessie.
They leave Annecy to start the long drive back, and encounter problems with the campsite!

You demonstrate the problem that I have as a widower; trying to drive, navigate and sot turnings all on my own, can be problematic on occasion. Fingers crossed for my 3 month trip to Spain in 2 weeks time! 😎😎

Another great Blog ! To freshen our grey waste tank,Before leaving a site we empty the tank then shut download valve .Then desolve a couple of dish washer tablet into bowl of water and pour down the plug holes .As we are travelling it splashes around in the tank keeping it clean and fresh…Hope this helps …Paul & Anne (Chesterfield )🚌

It’s always a decision “to toll or not to toll” and just when you think all is going well you get a road closed sign 😂. A great value campsite at Annecy worth the Acsi membership as well. At least the hunt for a site was during daylight hours and you managed to find somewhere. A decent stopover for one night with a nice view. Entertaining as always, best wishes H&M. 😀

Motorway tolls are indeed expensive but you can cover a lot of ground quickly and the driving is less stressful. We try to leave the motorway to find a Relais Routier for lunch but sadly thay are a dying breed

Absolutely right! The péage got us to Annecy quickly. The Relais Routier are closing like our pubs. Such a shame 😔
You can set satnav to avoid tolls/motorways, you see some really nice parts of France - Another great vid - and spanky spanky lol

Thanks for another great vlog. Always enjoy your adventures en France. We are venturing into France and Spain next year for the first time in our motorhome so intend to try and book all campsites ahead. Can i askyou when you book ahead do you do this by email via the campsite's website? Thanks. Xx
Thank you! It depends on the time of year. If it’s off season we usually just turn up, but then you see the risk as it may have shut early! We have emailed but also ring sometimes. Hope you have a great trip 🚍☀️

Hi guys, great vlog as always. Can I ask what make the dog trailer you have is. Does it have 2 fastening points ???
Thank you! It’s a Trixie Trailer from Amazon. It only has one fastening point so both dogs are clipped into one.
Just watched your video on the ACSI , you mentioned the ID card that you can use instead of leaving your passport's at reception, I am planning to tour Normandy next year, (your video gave excellent information) did you have to use the id card at French sites.? I have only stayed at one French site and paid up front for the stay. I tend to tour Germany and have never been asked for passport's.
Hi, you can get an ID card from ACSI. We haven’t been asked for ID for a while now though? Not sure if something’s changed??
Why not set your satnav to avoid tolls instead of using the maps (the old fashioned way).
As you will know from our vlogs, Mrs Slaw loves maps. You’d have to drag it from her kicking and screaming! Her view is that technology can fail. If you don’t know where you are on a map you run the risk of being up the Suwannee with out a paddle 😜
Ireland is the same ,very expensive campsites ,sone charge extra for a awning and per dog 😅,great video again👏
