I do a form of #4 every day.
I'm a CNC machinist, and a couple of the 5-axis machines I run make impellers all day every day. Those impellers seal to the fixture and you can NOT pull them off no matter how hard you try. Prying isn't an option because it will scar the impeller as well as the fixture.
What *does* separate the impellers from the fixture is some well-placed compressed air. Pops 'em right off.
As for the vise grip bit, I've taken to clamping a smaller vise grip on the knurled adjuster bolt on the larger "main" vise grip.

You can calculate that the pressure needed for the first hack is actually very small. If the top of the tube is X centimetres above the level of liquid, you need x/1000 bar of pressure to raise the liquid to that height. So for, e.g., 20cm, you need just 0.05 bar of pressure. Actually just about possible for a "standard" man, which can produce about 23cm H2O of overpressure.

Re chain lubing: for years I've used Wurth Dry Chain Lube. It is hardly more viscous than water, and spraying it on the outside of the chain works fine. It dries very quickly, and as a result doesn't attract road dirt. When it comes to relubing, I just clean the chain with paper towels and paraffin. No need pfaffing around trying to lube from the inside. Re the disc: almost all road bikes have semi floating discs: the only one I've owned with full floaters was a Ducati 888 SP4 - you could rattle the discs with a finger.

10 - siphoning. It will work as you have the outlet of the hose a lot lower than the tank and putting compressed air into the tank displaces the petrol into the hose. You can actually do this by blowing into a second hose rather than using compressed air. Another method is to put the hose as far as possible into the tank then put your thump over the open end. Lowering the hose into a can will see it full of fuel which will then self siphon.

First hack: Apply heat until the lock tight liquifies. Use one of those micro-torches.
Second hack: Steel bolt hack: use small copper tubing 1/4" long on top of bolt. Use MIG welder and shoot the wire though the copper tube on to the steel bolt. MIG does not stick to copper. Copper protects the engine. Fill copper tube with MIG wire. You now have a new head that you can grip with vise grips to remove bolt. Use enough heat with the MIG to soften the lock tight. If lock tight is still hard, use micro-torch.

Best chain lubricating hack: get yourself a Scotoiler.

@3mins 29...............That chain is done for and needs replacing immediately, the links are binding and if it isn't already, it will soon make a horrendous noise and cause horrible vibration.

Friend of mine was lubing the chain on a dirt bike. To stop the oil from getting on the floor he grabbed a rag and held it around the chain. He instantly lost his thumb.

You can also do it with one hose... just immerse about 90% of the hose into the fuel tank then bend the hose and hold it then pull it out while making sure that the other end is still in the fuel tank... Then place a container at any level below the fuel tank, direct your hose into it and release the bend you made earlier... This works on the same principle as a syringe...

Easier on the gasoline hack...just put the hose into the tank, cover your gas tank opening as much as you can (rag is good), and then blow into the tank to build up pressure. When you have just take the tube and put it into your receiving tank. It will run...no problem.

Push the hose as far into the tank as you can. Hold your thumb over the end. Pull it out to the receiving container. Remove your thumb.
Way easier and more practical than that crap with the shop vac.

The proper way to spray chain lube is from the rear sprocket aim the tube towards the front sprocket. Never aim down towards the floor. The tube should be horizontal and riding on the chain. Spin the tire and spray towards the front sprocket. The lube will coat the entire link by the time the link reaches the front sprocket. I never get a drop on the floor.
