    For the chain lube mess : order a pizza and eat it. Now use the box with the lid open resting the lid between the chain and the wheel. the air compressor and gas tank is likely the most useful.
    However I'd like to suggest something a little different for you to test. Instead of blowing compressed air, try a second tube with you blowing on it instead of compressed air. IDK if it'll work but it's more useful and much less expensive than buying a vac if it does work.

    I do a form of #4 every day.
    I'm a CNC machinist, and a couple of the 5-axis machines I run make impellers all day every day. Those impellers seal to the fixture and you can NOT pull them off no matter how hard you try. Prying isn't an option because it will scar the impeller as well as the fixture.
    What *does* separate the impellers from the fixture is some well-placed compressed air. Pops 'em right off.
    As for the vise grip bit, I've taken to clamping a smaller vise grip on the knurled adjuster bolt on the larger "main" vise grip.

    On old disk rotating the bobbins can make sense to unlock them. It gets useful if the breaking is producing vibrations. However using WD-40 near the break is, as you said "bad idea". Any fluid would work so just use disk cleaner😂

  • @NajNilak
    @NajNilak 10 місяців тому +4

    You can calculate that the pressure needed for the first hack is actually very small. If the top of the tube is X centimetres above the level of liquid, you need x/1000 bar of pressure to raise the liquid to that height. So for, e.g., 20cm, you need just 0.05 bar of pressure. Actually just about possible for a "standard" man, which can produce about 23cm H2O of overpressure.

    Re chain lubing: for years I've used Wurth Dry Chain Lube. It is hardly more viscous than water, and spraying it on the outside of the chain works fine. It dries very quickly, and as a result doesn't attract road dirt. When it comes to relubing, I just clean the chain with paper towels and paraffin. No need pfaffing around trying to lube from the inside. Re the disc: almost all road bikes have semi floating discs: the only one I've owned with full floaters was a Ducati 888 SP4 - you could rattle the discs with a finger.

    For the first one all you need to do is stick a long hose in the tank, stick your thumb over the end, pull it out far enough to get the fuel in the hose lower than the fuel in the tank, and it will auto siphon, no pressure needed.

    10 - siphoning. It will work as you have the outlet of the hose a lot lower than the tank and putting compressed air into the tank displaces the petrol into the hose. You can actually do this by blowing into a second hose rather than using compressed air. Another method is to put the hose as far as possible into the tank then put your thump over the open end. Lowering the hose into a can will see it full of fuel which will then self siphon.

  • @Joelich
    @Joelich 10 місяців тому +1

    You don't need air compressor for syphoning the fuel. You can just create seal with your hands and blow in, we fill up boats from canisters like that all the time.

      No, you’re creating a pressure system where the pressure escapes through the first hose, without the second house you would just blow air bubbles into your gas tank

    5:20 Just use some string or wire, no need to cut the hanger. Also, it works better for one hand usage because it rolls when pulled up and resists when pulled down or to the side.

    Use the rag then blow into the hose, you will feel the build up of pressure then quickly put the hose into the container. When you're on the road or trail all one needs is the hose.

    For the fuel hack can't you create a seal and just clamp and unclamp the hose, speed could very results.
    If you want to beat the speed cameras spray or apply cooking oil on your plates. The flash from the camera will be reflected and make the plate unreadable. Different cooking sprays may vary. Also you may have to reapply every so often.

      They sell a jiggling siphon hose that pretty does the clamping unclamping thing, it's got a ball valve and when you pull up it seals, and when you push down on the house it let's fuel in. Jiggle it a bit and your siphon is flowing.
      In short, yes that would work

    Could the fuel siphon trick work by using a second hose and physically blowing IN to your tank to change the pressure? Or would that not be enough pressure created?

    • @jakegarrett8109
      @jakegarrett8109 10 місяців тому

      Pretty sure most people can do that, the problem is your entire face will smell like gasoline because when you take your face off that tank has a lot of pressurized vapor fumes... So technically yes (unless you have asthma), however, you might get less fuel on you if you just stop sucking when you see it get most of the way up a clear hose too.
