Love this series. The pilot has all the answers if you listen to the words. "I never lie" and "everything about me is false." These two statements establish the context. What do we see, that we don't see, which is right in front of us. Then they scatter pieces of the puzzle through all of the episodes. The white puzzle which Red works on in one of the episodes is also a clue. The writers are very clever.
Another great video, Monique. Moving and intense at the same time, with the great music choice and wonderful editing. I especially liked this part: "Love brought you out of the shadows. Love put you on the street corner where you were caught." That hit hard. And "I'm not sure I'll ever believe you again"... damn. Excellent choice, on just the right point in the video. Despite the harsh or cold exterior, Dom does care about Red, and I honestly believe he thought discussing the past with Lizzie would improve the situation between them. I also deduce that he understood and agreed with Red feeling angry as well as betrayed by the two people he loves and cares about most. Side note: Hopefully, Dembe will return soon because I miss him already. More to the point, I wonder if his flight is somehow connected with the "man in Cairo" that the task force delved into weeks ago. Hmmm....

Making her believe he was her dead father... was not very much "honest" in my book. I understand he was hurt and mad but he made that happen, he betrayed her first by let her believe he was her dad and that she didnt kill him. Also that secret costed Tom's . I never really liked Tom and he should come to Lizzy instead of doing the research on something that didnt concern him but if Red was honest with her before...

Me too. Lizzie is written horribly, and as a result it’s impossible to find anything redeeming about the character. I’d love to see her and Red work together, similar to what we saw in the first half of season 3, but I fear the EPs - both Jo(h)ns - have strayed from that concept entirely. 🌹
I was high yesterday and thinking bout them, I realized that there is still something they could still do to redeem Liz’s character. They begin a new journey that resolve around Liz realizing she’s in love with him, and he’s always been in love with her and the father/daughter thing was just a phase. And they would have and enemy/lover relationship.,... such a nice flying dream
Some people clearly have issues. A father can love their daughter but the way red loves Lizzie is more than just that. If your a father or a mother and your daughter is a grown woman. Would you devote your whole life to her,??? And if your a daughter or a son and your grown up, you haven’t known your parent for most of your life. When you finally met you get close and maybe just a little bit too close. Then you betray them because they keep not telling you the truth. If your parent is so dear to you, why betray them,??? All he ever did was help her and it wasn’t he who placed her in danger but Katrina her own mother. All he ever did was protect her no matter what. Her wishy washy character brought all of this including losing Dumbee for now. Maybe that’s Dumbe forcing him to do his own unraveling of the truth, plus not wanting to end up as Mr. Kaplan though Red explained what he meant to him.

And yes a daughter is important but red made it his life’s mission to devote himself to her, give up anything for her and remember red knows that Liz is not her daughter yet it’s like she’s a lot more than just a daughter to her. And Liz’s love for red is most definitely not like a daughter, I believe she does love him ever since season 3. But in all fairness red give Lizzie a lot of trust issues, like Tom was red’s plan and yes the plan changed when Tom betrayed him. And all the “not truths” red told Liz, all that sh*t ruin Liz is mentality, so red is great deal in Liz’s character development rn. But it’s still sad because as smart as red is, he was pretty dumb at the same time. When dambe asked him, if ruin Lizzie was his plan and red answer was he had no idea. Lizzie is love is driven with anger and sadness but they both still love each other deeply.. when I first saw I felt weird because supposedly they had father/daughter bond and my first thought was because I have “daddy issue” but I realized that I don’t. Anyone who would like to believe they have father/daughter bond, maybe you have issues bcaus a connection like that with your father is a little too deep. That’s all and I am sure they love each other with all they have.

As for Dembe, I didn't think Red would harm or even less kill him as it's been demonstrated time and time again that, with respect to their relationship, losing one would destroy the other. Disagree or otherwise, Red was very much right to be angry and feel betrayed by the two people he loves and trusts the most. I'm hopeful - more accurately, confident - that Dembe will return. That his flight is booked to Egypt is, in my opinion, too much of a coincidence given that the "man in Cairo" Red asked the task force to look for was never found. In addition, it might take spending time with Isabella who has no direct contact with Lizzie to speak of to offer a different perspective as for what's right or wrong. So excited for the finale!

I wish he had left Red as soon as he had his immunity back, that wouldn't really have been a betrayal then, keeping Liz secret but staying long enough to make sure his friend survives the situation. His words are strange at the end, like he's with Red but not really, still on his own path... I'm worried he's gonna do a kaplan and side against Red if it comes to that. He had to betray him because of all those secrets, that's what he can't forgive I think.
Liz has never done a selfless thing I find it ironic that the same deception she hates red for is the same deception she does to her team over and over again. Even though they put their lives on the line for her family. Ugh 😧😔😒 she's just too hard to take.

Honestly the writers ruin a lot of possibilities that would have make this show magnificent but they ruin it by making them father/daughter. It was clear that they were closer that they should of been and they could’ve been closer.

Red as we’ve come to know him isn’t her father. This has been confirmed and addressed on multiple occasions by producers as well as members of the cast and most importantly “episode content”. Lizzie killed the actual “Raymond Reddington”, her father, when she was 4 years old - a fact unveiled during the season 2 finale.
Ahsoka, I’m not sure if there is a path forward or one that leads to their working alongside each other. Despite their design or function as the show’s central relationship, the writers have in fact destroyed what made them so special and a privilege to watch as a result of rendering Lizzie unrecognizable and impossible to relate to.

As for Dembe, I didn't think Red would harm or even less kill him as it's been demonstrated time and time again that, with respect to their relationship, losing one would destroy the other. Disagree or otherwise, Red was very much right to be angry and feel betrayed by the two people he loves and trusts the most. I'm hopeful - more accurately, confident - that Dembe will return. That his flight is booked to Egypt is, in my opinion, too much of a coincidence given that the "man in Cairo" Red asked the task force to look for was never found. In addition, it might take spending time with Isabella who has no direct contact with Lizzie to speak of to offer a different perspective as for what's right or wrong. So excited for the finale!
@@nikkixsensei Now that it's over, what do you think about dembe ? I wish he had left Red as soon as he had his immunity back, that wouldn't really have been a betrayal then, keeping Liz secret but staying long enough to make sure his friend survives the situation. His words are strange at the end, like he's with Red but not really, still on his own path... I'm worried he's gonna do a kaplan and side against Red if it comes to that. He had to betray him because of all those secrets, that's what he can't forgive I think.

Honestly the writers ruin a lot of possibilities that would have make this show magnificent but they ruin it by making them father/daughter. It was clear that they were closer that they should of been and they could’ve been closer.

Hope they haven t. For me he is the dad or the twin of reddignton. They are definitely connected. The writers did a terrible job whith liz character. Hope they re still a chance. i think it won t go any futher than s9...sad
Red as we’ve come to know him isn’t her father. This has been confirmed and addressed on multiple occasions by producers as well as members of the cast and most importantly “episode content”. Lizzie killed the actual “Raymond Reddington”, her father, when she was 4 years old - a fact unveiled during the season 2 finale.
Ahsoka, I’m not sure if there is a path forward or one that leads to their working alongside each other. Despite their design or function as the show’s central relationship, the writers have in fact destroyed what made them so special and a privilege to watch as a result of rendering Lizzie unrecognizable and impossible to relate to.
@@nikkixsensei The only possible way I can see them reconciling is if Red finally tells Liz the truth and she understands why Red did all what he did. Now, there's no realistic way Liz will EVER be part of the FBI again, but I'm sure Red can pull strings to get her immunity and be a consultant like him.

The story Dom relayed to Lizzie, I find, contained a combination of fictions and truths. Despite the harshness he projects, he does care about Red and thought he was improving the situation by discussing the past and simultaneously opening a window that would allow for him to connect with his granddaugter as well as great-granddaughter.
