The reason he wasn't in Unity was that the game would have lasted about an hour, which is the approximate amount of time it would have taken Connor to beat up all of Paris.
Gnome Saiyan Connor isn’t dead in the AC Universe. Connors voice actor Noah is in AC Origins when you’re exploring the story behind Those Who Came Before story in the underground tombs.
No matter how much people hate connor. Can’t deny he has some of the best emotionally impactful speeches in the entire assassins creed franchise and to me he is one of my favourite assassins for his dedication but also to be serious as anyone would be in that life
What I like most about Connor is that he brought the perspective that you can't win all the time, even if you work hard, but you have to move on. And it brought a grey ground between assassins and Templars (which was the best thing done in both AC3 and ACR and also addressed, but not well enough, in ACU) But tbh, after you claimed the role of two celebrated heroes who always did the right thing (most of the time actually) and had a dignified ending to their story, the negative reaction to Connor is natural and expected. Not important comment but I liked to share
What I never grasped about Connor is that when he finds out it was Washington who ordered burning of his village, he kinda ignores that and still goes like rabbid dog after Lee. Connor and whole game just stops make sense in that point. I know he cant kill Washington from historical reasons, but still.
Arno and Connor would have been fun to watch. Considering their, I guess, opposing personalities. They’d have banter and joke around. They can relate on a personal level. The chemistry between them would have been great.
Arno would probably help Connor lighten up and see life can have good. Connor could help train Arno in stealth and the bow and maybe help him focus when aloof. They could of worked out.
Connor would have taken care of everything in 5, 6 missions tops. He would reject the phantom blade, and show the French brotherhood how they do it in the colonies
@@blurzzmelo9547 coz they have the shittiest leadership ever conner as an assassin was cold brutal and effective he bassicaly won the civil war himself so would be able to beat everyones arses easy as hell

I'd agree but at this point Connor has mellowed with age and experience, understanding that there are bigger things then personal vendetta's Shay would likely realize the monster he'd become in death, finally forced to look back on himself objectively and repent, making vengeance even less likely. Arno would likely try that for his father as he's far more brash and young then the others
I want arno to stab him tho as it symbolizes how shay killed arnos father is the same way arno kills shay a surprise arno stabs shay in the chest like how shay stabbed his own father.
I don't know about you, but I feel Connor and Arno deserve a sequel. How about some ideas? I could consider a sequel which would take place in Australia which I would call Assassins' Creed Down Under where 2 can be playable - Connor and Arno where they will band together to stop the Templars, convicts banished from Great Britain to Australia and stop slavery in Colonial America and Australia. Then Connor (in Achilles' robes) along with his recruits join Djarrjuntjun, Aveline, Eliza, Robert Faulkner and Arno in the fight against James Cook and the templars who seek to colonise Australia. There will be iconic Red Rock, Sydney, Adelaide, Swan River Colony (now called Perth), Van Dieman's Land (now called Tasmania) and Canberra. The start of the story will be Faulkner and Connor bringing his recruits, Aveline and Eliza on the Aquila to Australia. A flood of memories came to him. "It's all a matter of perspective. There is no single path through life that's right and fair and does no harm." "Your meddling in the revolution has caused us no small measure of grief. It cannot continue. The GMSloth he’s my favorite assassin people say he was boring but u have to understand he’s native Americans he wasn’t born in a rich family like ezio his mom died when he was a kid and he’s the best assassin when it comes to combat
It seems so patriotic and relieving like our war was won with connors speech along with his sword tomahawk and hidden blade to strike down the tyrants king James most advanced navy Connor and Ezio are forever the best assassins in my book
Night Monkey the fact he went through so much kinda justifies why he doesn’t crack jokes. Someone who was discriminated against (unlike Ezio) and not raised in a wealthy family ( unlike ezio) would be way more serious.
@@ShelovessJon23 not a rich family, but I thought all assassin's were noblemens (for Connor's case he's the grandchild of the tribal chief of kanien:keha:ka or what is that)
Ubisoft should hire you. You write better stories than most of the writers they have. Amazing vid. (BTW that speech that Connor gave is also present in the epilogue Assassin's Creed Forsaken ( the AC 3 prequel book)
Therriffic Gamer This isnt writing. He just expanded the characters ubisoft wrote. Writing a script from scratch is difficult. I do admit though that his idea would have been perfect
One thing that pisses me off in AC games since AC III is the fact that these games don't seem to be connected and plots started in one game don't get resolved or even expanded on in newer titles. These AC games could use some more nuance. For example Connor and Shay should play their parts in AC Unity, as you said. Furthermore, I think Thomas de Cornellion (the black robed assassin who killed Jacques de Molay's bodyguard at the beginning) should be a playable character is sections of the game set in the Paris during Middle Ages. The next game after Unity should have been a follow up to Arno's and Connor's story as two of them play their parts in Napoleonic Wars that started after the French Revolution. There would be a potential for great land and naval battles, assassinations on the battlefield etc. We know that Napoleon held the Apple of Eden and I think that fact should have been explored much further! For example, when Napoleon came back to France after his exile to Elba he managed to inspire thousands of people and a lot of troop regiments to join him. This would make for an amazing scene when he marches with his soldiers holding the Piece of Eden and manipulating the minds of people he comes across! Connor and Arno would help Napoleon in the battles during the Npaoleonic Wars (maybe both characters could be playable). Then they'd slowly learn that Napoleon isn't as good as they thought he was. Maybe they'd learn he's a Templar. That would lead our protagonists to turning against Napoleon and his eventual assassination on Saint Helena. Then Syndicate could happen and it would refer to Black Flag as well as Unity somehow. The precursor and Juno plots should have been expanded on as well.
If they didn't make another assassin's creed game about Arno and Connor I hope when next gen consoles came out ac unity will get remastered and have a new dlc about Connor and Arno
I think you captured Connor's maturity and nobility perfectly, and if he had been in _Unity_, even as a guest-star, I probably would've played it. I think the biggest missed-opportunities of the franchise was that he and Shay never faced each other. Good job.

Yes, but it for a reason that Shay Assassinated his father, Idk what reason but I played AC Rogue and I kill Arno Father when Arno play with that girl.
Connor had so much potential. Yeah he's not Ezio, he isn't charismatic and always serious, but for me it's something relatable. Also this music and his voice, it makes me emotional. I can't explain, but a part of it is nostalgia.
It actually is a great game; the story this guy's talking about could have been the sequel to Unity. Fuck you Ubisoft for putting out Odyssey which has NOTHING to do with Assassin's Creed!
That box. That damn box. Ezio gave it to Shao Jun. The box then ended up in the hands of Adewale, who gave it to Bastienne Josephe. Then the box was then eventually given to Francois Makandal. Lawrence Washington, brother of George Washington then stole the box and brought it to Virginia for the Templars to study. Then Shay got his hands on it and gave it to Benjamin Franklin to try to open it, which he did. Then Achille's held the box for a time. Then Hope had Franklin open it again. Finally the box was given to Charles Dorian, who was killed, and the box wound up in Shay's hands again. Then it went around to India, back to America, Russia, the Netherlands The box is a device used to locate Isu artifacts around the world. And the craziest part, there may have been two of them.

Ubisoft should just hire him to build Assassin Creed Stories, he's awesome! Ubisoft are currently crapping all of over the Assassin story at the moment.
his story got plot holes. Shay left the brotherhood because the assassin stealing the pieces of eden from it's temple so his mission after leaving the brotherhood to prevent those things happen and to restore the stolen pieces to it's temple back. But here he's trying to find ways how to use it lol. You simply can't put Rogue which is a spin-off in the same event as the main titles cause Rogue is 100% contradictions to everything the main story established

@@TheLatiosnlatias02 I just read all of it honestly I would disagree with killing George Washington and James cook. Washington wouldn’t really make sense and James cook. Maybe James cook was bringing templars without his knowledge and arno or Connor threatened him and James cook would team up with up with you and giving you more upgrade, ship upgrade. recruits? Or even sail you to islands for you to create a fort, have yiu played ac3? You know how you liberate a area from templars take that a step further and make it the coral sea remove templar routes and more forts and recriuts who sail ships you could stop Templar ships and get resources to upgrade ur fort, maps for more islands to create forts, upgrade you and your ship etc.
I don't know about you, but I feel Connor and Arno deserve a sequel. Does the name What If ring a bell? This was great honestly. By interlinking Connor's experience with Arno and their shared connection with Shay it really brings a more coherent story than we got. Connor was by no means perfect but his end speech showed he learned. Arno well, the Paris brotherhood was rather shit and using Connor really helped to give Arno a purpose

I wish this WAS the story! How I would’ve loved to interact with Connor, and Shay and to see the box Shay stole become incorporated as it was in the endgame of Rogue! Beautiful
Yeessss, 'What If'! Great video James, as always! The monologues of Haytham and Connor & that music in the background still kinda hit me right in the feels man
21:30 are you freaking kidding us right now you're literally saying that they can never be perfect this story was perfect it was amazing the way you actually describe the battle between Arno Dorian Connor Kenway vs Shay Cormac it's really really good your story should be a DLC pack for either Assassin's Creed 3 Unity or Rogue because this story is too good not to be a bonus mission keep up the good work man I'm subscribed to your Channel now
wow this would've been a much better game! just imagine if they took this approach with their games, this would be the right way to go about having different protagonists, by having them sort of cross over in later games.
I always tear up when I hear Haytham's last journal entry. He was a man torn by his convictions and conflicted between loving his son, and loving his Creed. In the end, he chose his Creed and died for it but Haytham's feelings for Connor and Zio were irrefutable.
If this were the events of unity, it would be such a great game. You’d see the developments of Conner which we don’t really see in 3 and Arno becomes a more rounded character. If Ubisoft went in this direction, it would have been amazing to play. Great vid James
This would have been a much better story for unity, great job James! Ik these what if videos must be difficult to make but they are so good! Please try to make them more frequently if you can

That speech by Connor was one of the best monologues I’ve heard from an AC character, why didn’t I hear it in the game? Just finished AC3 a 2nd time with the DLC...
BoyWonder1914 not sure exactly where or when the actor voiced that but it came from a epilogue-comic type thing I think people are saying, not exactly sure
It is, only problem with it is that by the time Arno becomes an assassin in 1791 Shay would've been 60 years old, way past his prime. So there wouldn't have been a fight because at that point there's no way he could hold his own against Arno let alone Connor or both at the same time.
@@Thefourthdimensional actually, cononically, shay was still in his prime by his 60s I could guarantee he could hold his own against Arno OR Connor, not both, because being trained by assassins AND Templars made him one of the DEADLIEST templars to ever be alive

Man when 4:05 started, I kept reminding myself this is LazerzZ's who always talk shit on Connor lol. Anyway this is SO GOOD! I've always wanted to see Connor's, Arno's and Shay's stories end. Shame we won't ever get this.
I really loved this! It brings a sense of finality and closure to both III and Rogue whilst acting as a major plot point that drives the main plot arc of Unity, that being Arno and Elise. If only Ubisoft understood that, since it would give Unity much more complexity.
Our work is too important." came another. "Do you think that good King George lies awake at night hoping that no harm comes to his native subjects? Or that the people of the city care one whit about them? Oh, sure, the colonists are happy to trade when they need food or shelter or a bit of extra padding for their armies. But when the walls of the city constrict - when there's crops that need soil - when there's... when there's no enemy to fight - we'll see how kind the people are then." "Thing is, boy, I can have what I seek. Had it, even. You? Your hands will always be empty." "And we should live forever on castles in the sky." "In your haste to save the world, boy - take care you don't destroy it!" "The people never have the power. Only the illusion of it. And here's the real secret: they don't want it. The responsibility is too great to bear. It's why they're so quick to fall in line as soon as someone takes charge. They want to be told what to do. They yearn for it." Upon arriving at Hawkesbury River, Connor and his allies witnessed the Indigenous clan under attack by European invaders. - - Connor's story - - 1779 Connor assassinates James Cook while his recruits (Stephane, Clipper, Duncan, Deborah, etc...) combat against the incoming wave of enemies led 1782 Connor helped freed an Aboriginal Australian assassin of Gumatj tribe whom I'll name Djarrjuntjun might have a similar past like Connor, hailed from Southern parts of Western Australia. 27th January 1788, Connor, Djarrjuntjun and their allies combat Jack Weeks and the templars who displaced a group of convicts at Sydney Cove. nah Ezio would've gotten his justice, after all Rodrigo got killed in brotherhood, And he would still kill his son by the use of the earth's gravity, and I doubt it would change Ezio that much, and the villa *MIGHT* not have been destroyed
well as he stated it would not changed anything, Cesare would still propably attack the Villa for revenge so yeah... it's also proven by the fact that in the book Rodrigo is dying when Ezio comes out of that room at the end, Rodrigo poisoned himself beacuse he spend his life seraching for that and planning to get to that room and it was all wasted. Rodrigo only asked Ezio what did he saw in there and he replied : "...nothing" then left him to die.

@@TheLatiosnlatias02 I agree, and now that I've played unity,I have to say that the bugs were minimal, and the story and gameplay were one of the best, same with AC3,and that's a really interesting continuation of their stories,I would love to play them and have a sense of closure with the two characters

15:00 imagining that cinematic sends chills down my spine, it would've been amazing. Hearing this what if story makes you realize just how much of a missed opportunity this was
dude, love the concept. Can't believe I never heard of you before. Added to my watch later pile. Can't wait to sit back, relax and enjoy some, what if AC goodness. Thanks :-)
This was well done and a lot of fun to imagine. The problem with this idea is that Achilles would have more reason to thank Shay for saving his life (from Haytham) and even to apologise to him, than to wish him any harm. Achilles even admited to Liam that Shay was right all along. There is just no way that Shay is antagonist material, as he is completely motivated by good. For Shay, Arno's dad was just the target holding the dangerous box that would help the Assassins destroy another city. So it wasn't even a personal kill, it was Shay just saving lives. And also, people forget Shay never planned to "betray" the Brotherhood, he was going to jump to death taking the precursor box with him (he even got shot in the back while doing so). He was saved by Templars and only joined them to stop the Assassins killing more innocents. So he was basically the only assassin who never betrayed the creed and ironically he had to join the Templars to do it.
They cloud have made a modern day assassin's creeds because the hole world would have been set back a lage bit. Would have been fun te realy play as Desmond.

I think this highlights what we the fans want, more meaningful connections between stories, and whilst I enjoy the newer games their is still something missing. your story reminded me of what that is , the personal connection between these characters we've spent so much time with. "It's soul if you will". The real kicker is they had this between Altair and Ezio.
Not going to lie, UNITY was def. one of my favorites. They introduced the dope new customization feature, new engine, AND the coop multiplayer should have definitely stayed in the franchise. Yeah, they had there bugs, but I honestly didn’t have any issues while playing.
The story he said was absolutely incredible! I loved it. This should have been included in the games. It would make them so much more interesting. ❤ Lots of love to you man! You're the best 😍 #lazzerzisthebest
Your what if videos make me wish Ubisoft new how to write an interwoven story line at least with the timeliness which were close together, instead after revelations we've got the story of a new assassin each game instead of the brotherhood
If Connor actually is on this game I wish they would hunt Shay together and if the mission is completed, you can pick which character you can pick, example "oh no I need to get the achievement but I'm in the opposite of the map :( not to worry!I can change into Connor to get that achievement because he is more closer" like GTA V did with Michael,Trevor and Franklin
Wow,....this is the first of these series that I've seen and might I say Bravo!!!! I wish ubisoft would have done this as a DLC game. They need you working for them!
They yearn for it." that 2v1 fight at the end was well written. But Ubisoft would never put 3 male main characters in the same scene alone. they would've put Elise or some new girl in that. They started taking this approach from AC Unity onwards only.
with all the Isu (precursur) artifact out there, time travel may very well be a possibility. Think Edward Kenway (my personal favorite) during the time of Bayek. pretty cool idea.
The reason he wasn't in Unity was that the game would have lasted about an hour, which is the approximate amount of time it would have taken Connor to beat up all of Paris.

No matter how much people hate connor. Can’t deny he has some of the best emotionally impactful speeches in the entire assassins creed franchise and to me he is one of my favourite assassins for his dedication but also to be serious as anyone would be in that life
Boot Kid I don't hate the whole character of Connor but his character how it was written in the game.
Bob the builder that’s understandable, I feel if they did a better job of portraying him in the game he would be a good character
What I like most about Connor is that he brought the perspective that you can't win all the time, even if you work hard, but you have to move on.
And it brought a grey ground between assassins and Templars (which was the best thing done in both AC3 and ACR and also addressed, but not well enough, in ACU)
But tbh, after you claimed the role of two celebrated heroes who always did the right thing (most of the time actually) and had a dignified ending to their story, the negative reaction to Connor is natural and expected.
Not important comment but I liked to share
Violet Rose couldn’t agree more to be honest
What I never grasped about Connor is that when he finds out it was Washington who ordered burning of his village, he kinda ignores that and still goes like rabbid dog after Lee. Connor and whole game just stops make sense in that point. I know he cant kill Washington from historical reasons, but still.
Arno and Connor would have been fun to watch. Considering their, I guess, opposing personalities. They’d have banter and joke around. They can relate on a personal level. The chemistry between them would have been great.

I'd agree but at this point Connor has mellowed with age and experience, understanding that there are bigger things then personal vendetta's

(BTW that speech that Connor gave is also present in the epilogue Assassin's Creed Forsaken ( the AC 3 prequel book)

This isnt writing. He just expanded the characters ubisoft wrote. Writing a script from scratch is difficult.
I do admit though that his idea would have been perfect
FILANDRIANOS I know but it is still something ubisoft would never do. And don't forget it did take time and effort for James to make this work.
Therriffic Gamer
Yeah ofc man I wont argue on that one. The uploaders fan fiction is great.
Black flag kinda followed plot since Edward is related to Connor
Well the Colonial Trilogy was done with the attention of showing a family line
thaneros it’s not the colonial trilogy it’s the Kenway saga
@@harleyokeefe5193 My bad chief
I think you captured Connor's maturity and nobility perfectly, and if he had been in _Unity_, even as a guest-star, I probably would've played it. I think the biggest missed-opportunities of the franchise was that he and Shay never faced each other. Good job.
There is no single path through life that's right and fair and does no harm."
"Your meddling in the revolution has caused us no small measure of grief. It cannot continue. Our work is too important." came another.
"Do you think that good King George lies awake at night hoping that no harm comes to his native subjects? Or that the people of the city care one whit about them? Oh, sure, the colonists are happy to trade when they need food or shelter or a bit of extra padding for their armies. But when the walls of the city constrict - when there's crops that need soil - when there's... when there's no enemy to fight - we'll see how kind the people are then."
"Thing is, boy, I can have what I seek. Had it, even. You? Your hands will always be empty."
"And we should live forever on castles in the sky."
"In your haste to save the world, boy - take care you don't destroy it!"
"The people never have the power. Only the illusion of it. And here's the real secret: they don't want it. The responsibility is too great to bear. It's why they're so quick to fall in line as soon as someone takes charge. They want to be told what to do. They yearn for it."
Upon arriving at Hawkesbury River, Connor and his allies witnessed the Indigenous clan under attack by European invaders.

Connor had so much potential. Yeah he's not Ezio, he isn't charismatic and always serious, but for me it's something relatable.
Also this music and his voice, it makes me emotional. I can't explain, but a part of it is nostalgia.

ezio as my fav but i like connor and arno and edward and as well as altair too

Then it went around to India, back to America, Russia, the Netherlands
The box is a device used to locate Isu artifacts around the world. And the craziest part, there may have been two of them.
that Box is an adventurer in of itself.

Or even sail you to islands for you to create a fort, have yiu played ac3? I don't know about you, but I feel Connor and Arno deserve a sequel.

My favorite line from Connor is I may never succeed the assassins will struggle for 1000 years more but we will not stop
wow this would've been a much better game! just imagine if they took this approach with their games, this would be the right way to go about having different protagonists, by having them sort of cross over in later games.

It is, only problem with it is that by the time Arno becomes an assassin in 1791 Shay would've been 60 years old, way past his prime. So there wouldn't have been a fight because at that point there's no way he could hold his own against Arno let alone Connor or both at the same time.

What if Ezio killed Rodrigo Borgia in Ac2?
MrKBD this would be amazing
he might've went down a darker path i think, imagine Mario turning up to find the pope killed
nah Ezio would've gotten his justice, after all Rodrigo got killed in brotherhood, And he would still kill his son by the use of the earth's gravity, and I doubt it would change Ezio that much, and the villa *MIGHT* not have been destroyed
cool
well as he stated it would not changed anything, Cesare would still propably attack the Villa for revenge so yeah...
it's also proven by the fact that in the book Rodrigo is dying when Ezio comes out of that room at the end, Rodrigo poisoned himself beacuse he spend his life seraching for that and planning to get to that room and it was all wasted. Rodrigo only asked Ezio what did he saw in there and he replied : "...nothing" then left him to die.
A lot of creativity and effort went in to this video and it turned out great. Well done!
This is exactly where I thought it was supposed to go, but I guess not. Biggest missed opportunity ever in AC
That's one hell of a story you made. Thanks for bringing this up.

@@TheLatiosnlatias02 I agree, and now that I've played unity,I have to say that the bugs were minimal, and the story and gameplay were one of the best, same with AC3,and that's a really interesting continuation of their stories,I would love to play them and have a sense of closure with the two characters
Gotta put all that useless AC info to use somehow 😉😉 excellent video as always, you can see how much work you put in!!
This theory is so good, i really wish it was a set of missions in unity

This was great I wish they told this in Unity, but I mean you know how Ubisoft is.
Basically Connor and Arno
Connor: CHARLES LEE!!!
Arno: ELISE!!!
Hearing Connor's and Haytem's voice with the video of 1883, made me cry😭😭😭😭😭😭
Good old ac vids like this are refreshing
Connor was such a better character than Arno
Adewale and you adewale
Agree bro 👍
I think they both would be better together also ad aveline and shay.
Should be added.
Well let's just ay they are all better than Alexios or Kassandra
Connor Kenway: where's Charles Lee!
Arno Dorian: where's Shay Cormac!
What if Desmond survived?
NightSpeed the modern day story would still be relevant.
Steven Ritter ehehe... indeed 🙃
They cloud have made a modern day assassin's creeds because the hole world would have been set back a lage bit. Would have been fun te realy play as Desmond.
You deserve much more appreciation to think through all of this .It feels like LazerzZ had a better view of AC than Ubisoft itself . :)

One of your best videos :)
The story he said was absolutely incredible! I loved it. This should have been included in the games. It would make them so much more interesting. ❤ Lots of love to you man! You're the best 😍 #lazzerzisthebest
In AC Rogue, when Arno´father is killed by Shay, he mention Connor and the america revoltucion
the story seems to be so real it makes me think did I miss something
One of the generals in AC3 asks Connor to visit him in Paris after the war is over.
Ohhh yeah
Your what if videos make me wish Ubisoft new how to write an interwoven story line at least with the timeliness which were close together, instead after revelations we've got the story of a new assassin each game instead of the brotherhood
Another sick and epic vid from a sick gamer let’s have a watch
If Connor actually is on this game I wish they would hunt Shay together and if the mission is completed, you can pick which character you can pick, example "oh no I need to get the achievement but I'm in the opposite of the map :( not to worry!I can change into Connor to get that achievement because he is more closer" like GTA V did with Michael,Trevor and Franklin
Wow,....this is the first of these series that I've seen and might I say Bravo!!!! I wish ubisoft would have done this as a DLC game. They need you working for them!

If you know this saying you are truly a assasins creed legend and og:Nothing is true everything is permitted
what if ezio killed rodrigo at the end of ac2
That's a good one
that 2v1 fight at the end was well written. But Ubisoft would never put 3 male main characters in the same scene alone. they would've put Elise or some new girl in that. They started taking this approach from AC Unity onwards only.
This is my head-canon now
Finally an AC video
with all the Isu (precursur) artifact out there, time travel may very well be a possibility. Think Edward Kenway (my personal favorite) during the time of Bayek. pretty cool idea.
what if desmond hadn't killed lucy ?
i would really like to see this one
I remember hearing the rumor but in the end connor was only mentioned in unity BUT they are aware of each other, as well a connor meeting Avline
did u just thank me for watching the video men we should be thanking you for finally giving us information weve all spent
a lot of data looking for
