Can EAL Break 90 from the tips on The Ocean Course's PGA Championship Layout? - Front 9
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 тра 2021
- Break 90 is back for the 2021 PGA Championship at The Ocean Course at Kiawah. The Ocean Course might just be the most difficult course in the United States. Some would argue the world. Under championship conditions from the back-back, this course has teeth.

The most relatable part about these videos is the excitement and hope on the first tee that immediately gets smacked in the face by reality.... I felt that!
the most relatable part to me was when he said "see it's not THAT hard" after his ONE good hole! haha.
EAL: “I’m kinda hitting the ball well”
Caddie: *silence*
😂
Yeah. Where was the reassurance?
He *was* hitting it pretty good, though. That wind was fierce.
@@johnnyhunter I thought he was hitting it decently too. But if a caddie isn’t going to a reassure you, who will?!
He was but even if not, lie to the man!!!🤣
@@nater.5812 Exactly. They're your wingman.
No mercy vibin'
Pete Dye's statue pointing out to where most people leave their dignity after playing this beautiful beast.
The content over the past couple weeks has been immaculate
Thank you Ben, the gap in the beginning of the year with spotty releases was a product of leveling up our team and processes, so now we are on track for (hopefully) 2 bangers a week. Until we go to three that is... E
@@RandomGolfClubFilms this made me warm and fuzzy inside
Here here. Great stuff from all the team, great production, graphics and slick commentary / presenting skills from EAL. The game has gone up a few notches here!
facts
@@RandomGolfClubFilms are we still getting a BREAKING OCEAN COURSE with the three invited players of three different skill levels? I enjoyed sawgrass very much!
Can we take a second to appreciate the first minute or so of the video? What an amazing intro, in awe of EAL’s talent on camera!
Look up Roger Federer Vogue Wimbledon
lol thought I was watching adventures in golf for a sec
He really needs to have his own show on the golf channel of Netflix of something.
“Samsonite, I was WAY off!” Lol. That got me.
The melantronic music playing in the background as the wind flaps around Eric, sets the scene of a lost man, out in the wilderness, just trying to find his way safely home (preferably by under 90 strokes).
Superb content, best in category by miles. 🙌🏻
Thanks Eric for sticking in there and showing us these - we know it’s not easy. The content has always been brilliant but the production quality has just gone through the roof!!
Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best golfing content on youtube at the moment. Extremely jealous of these unreal courses and never routed for someone to break 90 so much
RGC and EAL literally have created a diary we can all visualize and relate to . I love how it accentuates history, blends the creativity of the sport into a vibrant understanding of not just golf but the landscape around it. These videos really makes you want to play, be better, and with these vlogs creates a distinct understanding at how difficult these courses are for pros let alone the average golfer. Idk, maybe I’m rambling, but it’s something unique and special. Glad to be apart of the RGC family, thank you for all your hard work into giving us this content i truly mean that. Keep it real 17b
Mickey - want to be CEO for a day?
@@RandomGolfClubFilms I’m not sure how to take that question Haha I’m going to say yes for the journey and experience!?
@@RandomGolfClubFilms is this a trick question? I would love to just play a round or even just come down and swap stories and learn.
make me want to play better and be better :-)
This is best of of the EAL series to date, raw, honest and humble. EAL playing from the tips and living up to every PGA players statement as to what a good single digit golfer would shoot on a major course….a lot! Some would edit or play another 9, but showing a rough, reality round is great to see in the social media world. Good on ya EAL!
Every comment and emotion coming from EAL throughout hits some serious heart strings. Especially when he hits the green. But that caddie, hearts baby!
25 mph wind. I’d say EAL is getting the full Pete dye experience. Awesome video. Can’t wait for the back 9
EAL is the most slick host in golf. Unreal videos!
The camera work and passion put into these videos makes y’all one, if not the best, golf YT channels…
For everyone on the RGC team, from HR to marketing to product design to production - this is a passion that is fueled by a love for community and golf. Thanks for noticing Aiden! E
@@RandomGolfClubFilms It is shown in every video and loved by all watching!
That's one of the main reasons I fell back in love with the game and definitely the reason I can't wait for this content.
Ive only recently found your channel in the past month, but i am now up to date with all the vids and have now picked up my clubs and started playing again after an 8 year break! Thank you for being my Catalyst
Glad we could get you back on the course, have fun out there 🏌️♂️
I didnt think the production value could increase much more, but that intro was sweet! Chef's kiss.
Erik's demeanor might be the only reason he makes the turn.. RGC's content the last month has been absolute fire, and even though EAL's getting beat up, he's making it interesting to watch!
The content lately has been incredible, but I can't help but miss the more personal feeling content back when this channel was the Erik Anders Lang channel instead of Random Golf Club Films. I think it would be awesome if you could launch a second channel where we could get some more behind-the-scenes and off-the-cuff content! I would love that.
A cool guy loving golf means more than you think to the golf world. Really appreciate what you do Erik
That wind was defeating, your shots looked great. This gets me really excited to see the pros play!
A real picture of perseverance. That birdie on 8 was well deserved!
Ive been wanting to see this for so long
The wait is OVER 🙏
@@RandomGolfClubFilms when is the back nine coming out
Oh man Erik, respect for giving this a go, incredibly tough conditions. I can only imagine what it must be like to have to go through that with all the cameras etc. We all know how the feeling just leaves you when things start to go wrong. The mental torture, the self doubt, then that birdie! 🐦 she keeps you coming back. Good luck for the back 9!
Eric, thank you for bringing art and great videography to golf. It was much needed and the quality does not go unnoticed.
Before watching - I feel like breaking 100 would be an accomplishment.
After watching--It still would be
Funny you say that! 🤞
The quality of all the videos are so good! Massive congrats to the whole team, you’re killing it!
Man life is hard. So is golf. Especially from the tips at the hardest course on earth. I really appreciate this exposure to how hard this shit is. I’ll be damned if I ever understand why that one great shot or that birdie on 8 always brings us back. I’ve been trying to translate that appreciation for the good shots/holes to everyday accomplishments, and it helps a lot :)
isn’t it crazy how something so beautiful can be so soul-eating
This channel NEVER misses. Truly great film making that this team has compiled over the years. Bravo guys. Cant wait for break Torrey.
I am only 2 minutes in and this feels like an episode of Adventures in Golf. So good. Thanks EAL!
This was amazing. EAL is Bourdainian in his delivery and his connection to the viewer It makes the experience real and gives the viewer a sense of empathy. Add to it the sound design where the wind becomes a character in and of itself. The wind almost responds to his strikes and gives us a sense of the difficulty and impact as the imagery of the course does for each bunker and hazard. Can't wait for Torrey and more of the major championship coverage.
The highest compliment. ❤️
Your recent videos really getting me through a tough time, cheers mate
Brutal. That wind is a killer on any course, let alone this beast. Best of luck.
The production value is on point. Great to have you back Eric and kudos to the crew!
My graduation gift was being able to play the Ocean Course last year. We got rained out after hole 8, so I will live vicariously through you and this series!!
great stuff as aways, Erik.
These videos reunited me with golf after 8-year separation. Now more stoked than ever. Erik & the team better get Oscar or at least a Nobel prize for creating this channel and doing such an incredible job spreading the stoke. Much love from Norway.
We're glad you're here joining us for the journey 🌏🏌️♂️
That’s sooo dope, hit em well brother joel
Gotta say, your caddie seems like the man. Keeping you calm, but also just a straight up good hang too.
That birdie made me smile more than when I graduated University. And it took me 5 years.
Loving this series. I’ve loved them all, to be honest, but still, incredible job team
I started watching the vid, paused it, thought about playing golf, went and played golf, and then came back to finish watching it.
EAL - what a legend. By far and away the best quality production in golf videos on UA-cam. Love your work team!
I watch Erik since the beginning and it´s so great to see how the content is evolving! High class but still intimate.
I know these are frustrating for you, but please keep doing them! The content is awesome, and it gives such great context for the difficulty of the courses!
Beautiful course. The production, creative work on these are second to none. No one better
Really stepping up the game with these videography shots! (intro / long / one-takers) So good to see, keep it up!
Best video yet. Love the format. Keep it up.
“A Barry Bonds Par” quite possibly the greatest term ever used on a golf course
I admire your composure and resilience on a course that difficult! Love the vids man keep it up!!!
Pete Dye is like the villain in the Saw movies. He creates a contraption that is nearly impossible to conquer. Then, next thing you know, you’re sawing your arm off to stay under 120. 😅😅😅
Thank you. This is the best content I have seen in a good while. Proper art
This entire video is an absolute masterpiece
The quality of this film is unrivaled. Love intro, angles everything about it. EAL 1 million subs by the end of the year. Love to get inside looks at these courses. Gotta love Hole 4, par 4, 4 footer and +4 for the snowman haha.
What a course !! Thanks for this great insight Erik .
The intro - fantastic!
The golf - getting better!
The positive attitude the last couple holes - huge!
The outfit - On point!
The back 9 - so your telling me there’s a chance!
Love everything that you are doing!
i love the dude in the cart at the beginning of the video wishing you good luck. planned or not, that was such a cool addition to the video!!!
Used to think EAL was up there with the better UA-cam golf channels. But now these guys are on a league of their own. You've stepped it up a notch EAL & crew. No one creates golf content like you do 🙏
The storytelling, quality of sound & video. All makes up for a great entertainment. Can't get enough of it. Looking forward to the latest Break90 !
I haven't even started the video and I just yelled out "yes!!!" when I saw it was up! Stoked to watch this!
Absolute fire coming from EAL and RGC lately! Started watching your videos about a year ago and I'm absolutely hooked on golf. The best thing is my wife is now hooked on the RGC page and is taking lessons to get into golf so we can go together! Thank you!
The production value on these videos keep getting better! Lets go!
Respect for showing every shot how it played out. Great video!
Was lucky enough to play the Ocean Course a few years ago on a trip from Scotland - it was an absolute joy! This just brought it all back. Great stuff!
First and foremost, the video quality is impeccable. Well done.
These videos deserve soooo much more views. Best golf channel out there
I live for these videos Erik.
Intro giving off some adventures in golf vibe! Great vid and can’t wait for part 2.
I mean this is just fantastic. Beautiful to watch
Well done EAL! Reminds me of playing with two single handicappers on the Noordwijkse (links course from 1915 in The Netherlands) in similar wind conditions - we had to quit on the 14th hole. Everyone had run out of balls: lost 17 balls between us! Had some good beers and laughs afterwards!
Beautifully relatable golf once again my man. RGC never disappoints
Oh man, so that was painfully beautiful. But to see the finish was even better. Another banger from RGC.
Rumor has it that Ben is still on #2, laying 57.
great video man, the sound is fantastic.
I get so happy when I see "Break 90" great vids.
Bless you for putting yourself through this.
I was fortunate enough to play here in February. It's insane how different hole #1 and a lot of the course looks compared to then. All that water on the right on Hole #1 was sandy waste area you could hit from (like streamsong black ish) and it made it a much easier start than this seems for Erik. Pullin for ya Erik.
Thanks for putting yourself through these for us EAL!! Some of my favorite content ever
The added wind audio created a perfect ASMR experience. Felt like I was there! Production quality keeps increasing. Bravo!
its been a while since ive watched some youtube videos. thoroughly enjoyed the Players video, now this.. great work E
Okay the interactive introduction and walkthrough is 🔥🔥🔥
This video is amazing! He's been all over the place and I am still waiting for part 2
Way to putt yourself out there! Awesome intro, snap fingers to fly over…lovely! You are braver than most.
EAL, I’m telling you my guy you are on to something! The content you bring out is so good!!! Keep it coming!!!
Man, I love your videos!
The Cinematography is excellent!! Really captures the grandeur of the course!!
production value is fantastic. good job.
Fantastic video! Always the best
Paused one minute in to comment on the epic camera work in the intro, production value through the roof EAL I hope you take care of your guys because we appreciate them 🤤
Best channel on YT! gold content machine out of EAL recently!
They did it again 🔥😍!! A true representation of not only the average golfer, but what it takes to win on a championship course! Please EAL and RGC, continue to do this!!
You got it, Nico! 🏌️♂️
I love these, EAL - crushes. Stoked to see sponsored videos too - keep it coming and keep the caddies no BS and legit! So fun to watch. "So you telling me there's a chance?!"
Mark is a fantastic caddie - love him! Looking forward to the back nine...what a beast this course is!
Caddies sunglasses tan is next level
Thank you. Been working on it for a while now.
Well this is going to be interesting, love all your vids
The content right now is amazing!
Been waiting for this one
I fist pumped when you birded 8! Keep fighting, like the caddie said most people have never played in that kind of wind. Thanks for the awesome videos EAL.
Absolutely love this. Such a gnarly day to play this one too. People’s champ EAL.
I can’t wait to watch this! Love From Rotterdam to EAL!
EAL, SIMON, the RGL team, y’all are killing it. Would I love to apply to every role at RGL? Yes, but don’t live in TX, so I will live through these videos and pray I get to play with EAL one day.
Your vibe is epic, the GC compasses every. Single. Thing, Us amateurs love about it. Golf is hard, respect it.
And you sir, do exactly that.
Your best intro to date. What a pro
Broke 90 on the front, so you got that going for you, which is nice.
Loving the break 90 series!
