About the Festival:
Established in 1987, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (#MICF) is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

His full set is spectacular. After seeing it, I can imagine it would’ve been challenging to only do a 4 minute set because his jokes are thoroughly explained.

Yes, but I also love that he's trying to educate Australians, and bring a bit of his culture to this wonderful country. He's got a blank slate to work with, and he knows it. He's going to have a very successful career in Australia, without question. He's got everything to become a beloved son of Australia, and Australia loves 'authentically' like no other country on Earth. I look forward to more of his work.

He took a punt in playing it cool. He also took a punt allowing such long silences in an auditorium setting, and on live television.
I thought it was a wonderfully heart-felt and nuanced set. And I'm so glad, as Aussies, that he's ours.
The threesome joke saved this set otherwise it was getting boring...

Maybe he wasn't actually going for 'hilarity', and more of a nuanced and 'heart-felt' approach.
It was a 'flat' year anyway, and I think he read the audience and chose an appropriate set. I loved it.
