If it's man d, this play is great. Zone, this can work, but it depends how disciplined the defenders are. If they stay in their zone, it'll be harder to run that play. Still love that the coach is actually coaching instead of those coaches that scream and yell for no reason. Cool hearing other teams are using this as well.
We have this one play Two on the block and two on the elbows The block in face of the point runs back and screens for the elbow. And the other block on the far side of the point runs to the opposite elbow screens and the one who orginally started on the first block runs around the 2nd screen to the opposite block.
Meant to add 1,2,3 may be scouted in advance by others in gym as well as opposing coach.....Not that combo's would fool good coaches and scouts; but IF play #2 worked so well. You may want to go back to it.....12,22,32,42 etc...Opposing side may notice after two tries but only after getting burned twice; hopefully.
I coach middle school girls and not many of them can shoot the high percentage shots. I have them play zone under the basket. So I would have a defender under the basket waiting on the layup. I’m not saying I’m right but would a zone defense stop tap head 1&2?
Good stuff. I like the the setup very much. A couple small suggestions; please. I say "clap ball" is time to make cuts. As you say only 4 seconds {probably 4.5 secs if Ref is normal} left should be plenty if guys are cutting hard.......Too many times referee goes to hand ball with extended arm only to pull away for some reason; and may cause players to start cutting early......... broadcasting/blowing up the play; only to have to re-set again IF lucky.......How many times do we say "GIVE him the damn ball already? " Only causing Ref to say I'll show him and hold it longer".......Ref handing ball; teammates may see that or not; even though they should....And to that point; you have guys at high post who may not be looking at ref/inbounds passer with back to the ball {which they should not; but they do some times {especially if tired} more worried about setting good pick than seeing inbounds teammate get ball from Ref in his hands..........." should be loud enough and well within the 1 second mentioned..........Also some intricate cutting and picking; for some reason "head "Head tap" plays #'s 1, 2, 3.....as in it's so simple they don't take the time to memorize; like I got this....Maybe maybe not.....Colors or school names might be ingrained as easy or easier in heads}....example Kentucky or Blue=same play.....Florida or Orange=same play....Alabama or Crimson = same play.....mix it........OR any number ending in 1, 2, or 3 is the prescribed play..................instead of just 1,2,3 play all the time; maybe throw off opposing teams coaches who may be in gym scouting you in advance and see/hear 1,2,3.....21,31,41 ALL play #1.....22,32,42 all play 2.....23, 33, 43, all play 3.............For younger players I liked in setting up in formation of half court set, after dead balls and such......Dark colors mean start offense from the right side; Light colors start offense from the left side.......Passing; picks set; dribble direction as initial guide. Good luck.
Well when the guy guarding 21 has his back to the basket so he doesn’t bite on the ball fake and they switch on everything here, all of a sudden you’re shooting a heavily contested fade away 20 footer.
So coach can call out “TAP HEAD” while tapping his head so that the team understands what to run when the gym is loud and rumbling. If it was called Blue or something, it would be hard to signal.
First of all I'm seeing these plays with no defense,so of course they look good. Secondly, Any team that would play man to man under their opponents basket is not a smart move. Please let me know if i'm missing something here. Would love feedback
Playing man under your own basket can work really well. I would say the most important part of it is the guy guarding the ball. He should stand directly under the rim preventing alot of quick rolls to the hoop. Also, if the guys are that high, ie towards the free throw line, you probably want to stay underneath all of the screens. Playing a zone on Bob plays is tough. Most people will run a 2-3 zone, and you can get overloads with relatively easy shots. The offense Works the best at the lower levels because people aren't as long and you can find creases easier.
Won the championship using this play down one. You the real MVP coach.
Mystic, this worked for me pretty consistently last year. I face a lot of man-to-man d, and we scored at least 6 points a game using this.

Another weapon in my repertoire, thanks coach!
I enjoy coaches with a high I Q for the game, keeping it simple
God I wish this man had been my coach in high school...
Very good inbound plays. Simple with a nice mix of intracacy.
it even looks pretty..im going to implement it this season.

Won a semi finals game with this play on 2k

Looks good with no defense
Thanks for the W coach.
NICE PLAY 👍👍👍👍
Mike Fratello?
Is that mike Francesa??
Not playing man against this offensive scheme! Zone up beneath the free throw line and match up with the shooters.
Or just play man to man and switch every screen
Eric Jenkins every out of bounds play near basket should be a zone defense. ✌️
How did this pop up?
why is it called tap head?
maybe the opposing coach will be tapping their head, wondering why they just lost?
shaigy23 Basketball plays have weird names lol. Why is it called Floppy?

Patrick Maher this can work off man not a 2-3 zone or any other zone
This is why you play zone underneath your opponents basket. Jmo.
You must coach against youth teams or girls team...watch college basketball and tell me how many teams play man. You're welcome!
I coach girls basketball and play man under my basket as well as 2-3. Most team we play in GA plays man to man for BLOB.
Is this Mike Fratello?
Did you know there is a description of this video ?
Czar of the telestrator
Why is there UF UK and a Syracuse flag and why are they hung so poorly lol
Almost a million views and only 35 comments
Nice I see my Syracuse team flag up the on the wall
Now let's do the zig zag play
Always works at practice, like the D is asleep,B.S.,every time uuh?
been there done that
Shut up
Rose Braun how did it work?
Colten, with the black knees Shut Up
Nice ... but never ever inbound the ball under the basket
Good stuff
Works every time there is nobody on the court to guard the inbound pass.
Not against a 3 2 zone, this coach better go back to the drawing board.
Steve K. or just not use that specific play against a 3:2 zone...
I’m sure he has another play for going against a zone. A good coach would.
