Shellvictoria, you said what was in my head. I heard this song last night and I felt privileged to have seen and and heard such spectacular performance. I like JLo and love Bocelli. I never thought of a duet between them, but for my own delight, I am so grateful they did, that was splendidly exquisite. I bought the CB @ Barnes & Noble today. Bravo Andrea, Bravo Jennifer Sarita Montiel would be proud of you!

You can tell she can't sing well because Andrea Bocelli abandoned the idea of lowering his talent to match hers. He soared that last note while Jennifer stayed within the same range she sang in for the entire song. That is how you watch for talent. It isn't just about staying in key. If that were true, everyone would be talented at singing. That is the hard truth.
Jennifer sings extremely well, and If you actually checked out Jennifer as a vocalist you would be surprised, she has a gorgeous voice, when she goes from a light mix to an even lighter mix she sounds absolutely gorgeous, really stunning, she has a pretty large range in her belt, she can sing up to a G5 and down to G3 with ease, she has great pitch almost immaculate, her mixes/melismas/transitions were great.
And this is nothing to what Jen has done vocally, listen to Her Barbara Streisand "people" cover she did, it's an seriously impressive vocal performance, shows off her range beautifully!
But her vocal highlight is a Spanish record she did called "Porque La Vida Así" it's just her voice throughout the song, no backup, no autotune, just Jennifers 100% raw vocals, i even have the rough unmastered demo with her vocals and she's absolutely Insane.
But you think Jennifer can't sing great? Listen to Porque La Vida Así, absolutely nobody who knows anything about singing is gonna listen to that and not be impressed, She sings the majority of the song in her belt, but yup so many of the girls in music today ain't delivered anything close to Jennifers "Porque La Vida Así" Jennifer can sing sing when she wants to, and she can hold her own.

That was beautiful. The warmth of Jennifer Lopez seemed to bring more comfort to Andrea. The dancing was also fantastic.
Did you even listen to the song? You can dislike her and her music all you want, but you can't deny that she can sing -- and did extremely well -- in this performance.

Surprisingly it was a good duet. J Lo's not the best singer but ironically, she created the best bond and chemistry with Andrea, way more than other singers that have actual beautiful voices. I'm not counting Celine Dion because she definitely had the best duet with him and also the greatest chemistry by far. My favourite duet, vocally speaking, is that with Christina Aguilera. Anyway, I kinda like the way J Lo connected with him and also her sensuality and warmth. Many other singers had a quite "cold" attitude on stage with him. Also, although I'm not a fan of her voice she blended her vocals with him very well too. She did a good job. Brava

Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Lopez have voices that complement each other and when they sing together it is a marriage made in heaven. Also you can see that they really enjoy singing with one another and this performance is intimate and heartfelt.

I was never exactly a JLO hater,but was dismayed when I heard of the pairing of her with the GREAT Andrea Bocelli.She did more than hold her own.She complemented his voice and together they made that a sexy performance.You go Miss Lopez,kudos to you.You were utterly sexy,charming and made that song hot,hot,hot.Not quizas,absolutely!

@@cynthiahoyi3925 actually English is her first language and she only learnt Spanish as an adult person. But I agree, she somehow sounds better in Spanish. Maybe it's a question of her genes, I don't know. In English she's a low brow pop singer, whereas when singing en español she seems more feminine, passionate, delicate and rough at times.. imho

Yes, she can. I grew up in Honduras and have listened to different versions of this song. I know that Andrea is a virtuoso, but with this song I have a renewed respect for Jennifer Lopez (not that I ever disrespected or disliked her) She was at Andrea's level. And I love how tenderly she touched him and how she presented him to the crowd at the end. Classy classy, Jenny from the block.

They implied that Bocelli and Lopez wrote this song by copying Abba's "Waterloo" because the word "Fernando" has the same syllables as "Pensando".
So Abba was writing songs in 1947? Their ignorance is daunting in this day and age when you can search anything and have facts in a split second. Evidently, they enjoy adding lazy to their stupid.
